Have to unlock phone to accept call - HTC Sensation

This is quite an annoying problem and was hoping someone could help me.
I'm running arhd 6.4 with senseless script and nova launcher. When someone calls, I have to first type in my unlock code and then I can answer. So I cannot answer from the lockscreen.
Anyone know how I can fix this?

Sensation///MIUI 1.12.30 kernel problem!

Good day and great job everybody!
One question in advance, why is the MIUI 1.12.30 ROM advertised in the Sensation forum but only the 1.12.23 version available when you follow the download link?
Anyway here is the main deal:
I installed MIUI 1.12.30 in german by Sidy. Before that I wiped cache/data/dalvik/battery. After that I wiped cache/dalvik again and installed the Tiamat Kernel for the Sensation.
Now:
Whenever I am on a call and the proximity sensor gets active, i.e. the screen goes dark, it appears the call is dropped. The bars show no service and the drop call sounds.
BUT:
The call is not dropped. If you remove your head the call reappears as a notification in the top bar about 10 sec later.
This is not service bug, right? As I understood this had to do with the lockscreen...
I am now sure that I is connected to the kernel as it now first appears after the kernel flash. But what makes me curious is that this setup was actually running well until now. The only difference is that I tried out MIUI WP7 and ICS by Virtous with a lot of backup and restore inbetween. I know did a clean install as described above and the bug keeps reappearing.
Anyhow, does anyone have the same problem??
Does anyone know a kernel that runs well with MIUI on the Sensation??
(Had the same problem with Bricked 1.6)
Help is highly appreciated!!!
Bye Essi

[Q] AOSP Caller apk for ICS 4.0.3

So I flashed Virtuous Inquisition Quattro and Virtuous Inquisition. I preferred the later because I can get mobile hot spot to work. However, I like Trebuchet launcher more than Nova. So I took the Trebuchet apk and RW onto Virtuous Inquisition ROM. My question is where can I find the AOSP caller that is on VIQ ROM so I can RW onto VI ROM. They both have the AOSP dialer and contacts, but when you make a call on VIQ, it is AOSP caller, whereas VI caller is still not AOSP. Anyone know where I can find this apk.
p.s. I am not sure if I am referring to the AOSP apk correctly. I am assuming it is the caller apk, it might be related to systemui, not sure, but any help would be greatly appreciated.
extra info
BTW I am using sensation 4g android version 4.0.3, most recent VirtuousInquisition build 3.0.0.
Afaik, using the aosp caller screen you're referring to on virtuous Inquisition doesn't work (they've tried and have ben trying very hard). Like rmk has been saying, sense is integrated VERY reply into the rom and kernel, even into the very low level stuff.

Thanks for the info geoffcorey. I was reading through what seemed to be endless threads on both ROMS and could not find any info on it. Guess I will just have to wait for VI update for AOSP caller apk.

[Q] Are ICS ROM safe?

I have been reading posts about ICS ROMS and it seems that there is no perfectly working ICS ROM yet. Is it true?
And if you saying that ROM is stable that means that you have no problems at all with it? No app forse closing, random reboots or sense misbehavior?
Sorry if my post didn't belong here or if there are topics about this, I would appreciate if you post links to that threads

i have been using the androidHD ISC rom with 3.12 firmware and the only issue i can see is that the effects in the camera do not work. but i believe that has been fixed now with the 3.24 firmware package. 3d games work such as shadowgun and dark, no apps have FC'ed on me yet and no random reboots either. just make sure you make a nandroid backup and just test a few ICS roms out and see which one suits your needs.............................sudeki300
i'm now currently on 4.0.3 with ARHD 6.1.1
it is very smooth and i have not discovered any bugs so far.

Flash them all and see which one you like best. Thats pretty much the only way to know.

The ICS roms are certainly stable enough for daily driver. The 3.12 based roms had a few issues, one being the use of camera effects, this was causing the camera to force close. These issues have been fixed in the new 3.24 based roms. I can't find a single issue in either arhd 6.1.1 or insertcoin 4.4.3. I haven't had a single force close or strange behavior from any part of the software

I have flashed Virtuous Inquisition v3.0.0 this morning (on my XE) and I must say, it is fantastic and beats other roms out there in terms of speed, being stable, no FC's etc.
If you don't mind that HTC Sense (the launcher etc.) is missing, I would go for this if you are wanting to try out ICS.
I have tried ARHD, InsertCoin and the RUU before this, but they were not to my liking and I found them very slow and unresponsive.
Please note, I flashed the 3.24 firmware.
I am using Leedroid 6.0.0 and have been using all the other leedroid ICS releases.
My only problem is a fc of soundset on startup and thats it.
So yes it is safe.
Thanks guys for answers I'm using now ICS ROM (InsertCoin 4.4.4 thanks to baad) and my experience is even better than it was with custom GB ROM. I guess it's partly because of me using Titanium Backup correctly now xD Everything is working and no lags

[Q] Can't change sense 3.6 lockscreen icons

I flashed kings stock ics rom and everything works perfectly. I went to change my lockscreen icons and i cant seem to be able to. Has anyone else experienced this problem with other sense 3.6 based roms? I have searched for a while now and cant seem to find an answer to my problem. I hate to be a complete noob but this is bothering me.
Thank you all in advance.

When you change the dock apps they become the lock screen apps - they are linked

Thank you eddy. That worked. I had no clue that the dock and lock screen were linked like that.

[q] can someone please tell me what's up with my lockscreen!?!

I'm running ViperS 1.4.0. My lockscreen won't show any of my shortcuts. I've enabled them in the "Personalize" section and enabled the Sense Lockscreen in Venom Tweeks. I've tried to enable custom shortcuts via Venom Tweeks and an app called HTC Lockscreen Provider, but it don't work.
I do neither show the popup-ish message in lockscreen when I get a message. The same problem happened to me in both ViperS 1.3.0 and 1.3.5 too.
I've tried to reinstall the Lockscreen, reinstall Rosie, freezing both of them and unfreezing them again, removing the lockscreen from /system/app/ and than moving it back again.
I just cannot find out what's causing the problem.
So can someone tell me what's causing the problem and/or guide me on how to fix this?

Hi, this could possibly be a sort of bug in the rom. I don't run viper so I'm not sure if it's happening to other viper users as well. What you can do is ask on the viper site where every one is on the same rom. I'm sure they could be of more help. They know the rom and can possibly offer you a fix for this issue. I say this because it does sound rom related. Especially since it's happened to you on every version. I'm sorry I couldn't be of more help, but I'm certain the viper site can help or at least tell you if others experience the same issue. Best of luck to you.
