Is HDMI mirroring in Hell's Hellfire Sandwich 1.3 ROM functioning? I just tried it right now, but nothing is appearing on my TV Is there some setting where I have to turn it on, or something? I'm wondering if its just the ROM or if its my HDMI cable.
Not sure but I've been running SK1 for a while now (don't plan an update until we get encode/decode), and HDMI mirroring works great.
it may be your cable cause it works for me on 1.3

I've not been able to get a good picture even on stock 2.3.3. Not sure what i'm doing wrong. Does it have to be ob a video or will it show just the desktop?

I am using stock, factory stock. The hdmi out works with videos and netflix, but the video looks choppy on my tv and goes to a black screen randomly. I have a lcd hd tv, using micro hdmi to tv, no adapters. Is this a known issue, choppy video?

The same thing happens on my phone. I believe that the phone is having trouble processing the video for both screens.
I am also on stock EE4. Is there anyone using a custom rom that does not have this problem?
Sent from my SCH-I510 using XDA Premium App
I did read that somebody was using a gb leak and their issue was the video not working but for a few seconds at the beginning.

I am using stock froyo and im not getting that issue. Netflix renderes smooth. Its a little pixelated because the tv is 60in .. but other than that its hardly different than using the ps3 version of netflix

I've done more tests tonight. HDMI with netflix and recorded video from phone plays choppy on tv. Could this be the cable? It looks clear on the charge when the video is playing.

I noticed the tv screen going black a couple times, but I attributed it to me moving the phone around while i was holding it in my hand, and the hdmi cable connection getting loose. This is with a cheap $4 cable, so that may have something to do with it.
Got a new cable and it works great now.

Which cable did you get?
A $4 cable off ebay. They are all the same.

I'm having the same problem. I got the charge specifically to run Netflix through my phone to my 60in TV. The picture is pixelated and I'm quite disappointed. I was better off running it through my computer to my TV.
Are there any settings I can tweak on my phone, or TV, to correct this so I can enjoy Netflix?
Btw I'm rooted running Gummy Charged 1.9.1 and pbj with voodoo lag fix.
Its a phone...to a TV. Seriously, what do you expect? Overclocking does help a bit.

Maybe you could step up and explain why it doesn't work well, what is to be expected and possibly offer an alternative solution if there is one. The pigeon method of flying in to crap on something and quickly flying back out never helped anybody.

The video is optimized for mobile screens would be my guess so they aren't as data intensive as the set top box streams...when you blow an image up to 46" that is meant for 4-10" screens its going to be pixelated

This is exactly why. also netflix.does not stream all its content in hd. If you are watching a non hd stream the imperfections are going to be magnified on the big screen. Try copying an hd video (divx format or something compatible) and play it on the tv you will see a noticeable difference. You could also stream a known hd vid and check it. I think heroes is in hd.

I'm trying to work the HDMI feature that use to work with the stock settings. I noticed that since Ive rooted and Flashed the CM7 the feature is no longer there in the settings. Do I need the settings to be there in order to make it work? Every time I hook up the hdmi cable, it never displays on the tv with whats on my phone.
Or do I need to install an apk from the stock settings? If so does anyone have it? Thanks.
It will work in cm7 but there is nothing in the settings about it. I can confirm it works though just plug the cable in.
just plug the cable in and it automatically projects to the tv. i'm having problems playing 1080p video though
There an app in the market called talk back...

Not to be a di*k but theres already a post about this one page back...search the forums before anything...but it DOES on Cm7 ...there are no settings just plug the cable in ...im sure more features will be added as the nightly builds continue

Doesn't seem to be working on my g2x cm7 nightly builds (any of them) when i plug it into a HD tv that used to work on stock. ...So hmmm

Works perfectly on stock with my 42" LG. I would suspect kernel driver issues if you're rooted. Can you go back to stock and try it?
didn't work on stock , that's why i rooted
Mine works fine. Could be a cable issue.

The first thing I would suspect would not be the stock OS, to be honest. Check the cable, check your TV manual to see if it supports the tablet resolution, check a bunch of other things, but don't root to try to fix it.

The first time I tried to use my TF on the big screen failed but it turned out to be the cable.
Second cable worked fine.
And I'm not rooted (yet
I tried with another cable same problam, maybey its the mini HDMI to HDMI convertor ?

Just checked mine, works just fine. I am using stock software on a Vizio 42" with a cheap mini hdmi cable.
found this : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1074816&page=2
look it trough
Works fine for me on both my Panasonics (56" plasma and 47" lcd) and various other HDTV's that I've tried while travelling over the last month or two...
Works OK on my Philips lcd tv.
I'm running Revolver 3.2.
In case it doesn't work I would try another cable and another TV.

Hello team
Just been searching through and ive seen a few good hand of people discussing the adapter working well for the Samsung Galaxy SII Skyrocket by AT&T . Was really hoping some people could point me to an excellent cable that works. I saw so many online, i just wasnt sure which one would work correctly , or most importantly work well
Would like links for MHL and a OTG cable if possible. Thanks in advanced for help
Phone currently running SKY ICS
A little bit of searching and i found these. Any thoughts/

Its designed to work for any of the GALAXY based phones by Samsung. Thats what i was told at least. And it worked great with mine if you saw the above video i posted :silly:
I appreciate you posting this. Was just researching on the OTG as well. Ordering mine from Amazon now. Already had the mhl for 6 months. Was worried that the otg cable would not power a thumb drive. Now I know. Thanks!
Yup sure does, i tried both FAT32 and NTFS Flash drives... Next up is external HDD
Now i need a transformer or a Tab 2
For a USB powered external hdd you need a powered USB hub. If you plug in the hdd directly into the otg cable it does not work.
If your hdd has its own power supply then it works directly.
The phone battery is not enough to power the hdd.

Yeah that's kinda obvious I suppose . Power is required . Still a good to hAve .
Mhl not work with cm9 just yet . Or maybe I'm doing it wrong . But I tested with other roms

Hey guys I'm currently running synergy 1.6 and having serious issues connecting my blutooth audio to my car receiver. It pairs just fine, but takes forever if at all to connect the media audio. Most of the time it doesn't. I have tried battery pulling and such but no luck :/ do you guys know if any other roms that have better support for this? I just don't want to wipe and try another rom only for the same issue to occur. I could be doing something wrong too xD I appreciate the help Thanks!

I've been pairing/connecting with my car audio since the Eris days. On this GS3, I'm using Clean Rom and it works great. It also worked for the stock rom unrooted, rooted and un-locked too.
Alright I'll try flashing clean rom tonight and giving it a go
Thanks mate

I'm running synergy r43 I think it is of the nightlies and Bluetooth works fine. I didn't flash synergy until 1.7 came out and Bluetooth has worked for me on synergy since then.
