ICS clock force close - T-Mobile LG G2x

I click the analog clock. And it force closes every time. Does anyone else have this issue? I can't set my alarm or anything.

Which ICS rom are you using? I've been running the latest version of Hellfire Sandwich since Thursday and haven't had any issues so far. Did you wipe everything correctly and did you restore anything through Titanium Backup? Accidentally restoring a system file could lead to some problems.

+1 This usually is because you restored GB system data over ICS system data and that broke stuff.

Interestingly enough, I had a similar issue when I restored my backup of 2.3.1 and again when I updated it to 2.3.2 but now I'm on 2.3.3 and its gone.
Found out it was that titanium backup added system settings from 2.3.2 cm7 and this Co flicted with 2.3.è

Ah ha! That would make sense as I generally used titanium to keep my stock backups up-to-date with my apps! Well found, sir!

Facebook force close issues on CM 7

Is anybody else having issues with Facebook force closing on cm7? I'm fairly sure it has to do with the fb update. I uninstalled and reinstalled and am still having the issue. I just want to know if anyone else is seeing this issue and if there are any work around.

I'm seeing it when selecting friends. I looked in the market for the option to uninstall updates for the app but it wasn't there. I think I have the old version in a Ti back up. I'm thinking of uninstalling and restoring from that.

Completely uninstall the app, reboot, then install. If that still doesn't work, backup, then reflash the ROM.

never had this problem =D
Worked. Awesome!
Haven't encountered any issues with Facebook with cm7..
I'm having too many issues now with CM7 nightly 41+, too many FC from differents applications such like gmail, fbook, mail client and even brwser. I installed CM7 a counter of time doing, format system, dalvik, cache and with each cm7 nightly I have some applications giving me fc. I never had this problem with older versions.

Sounds like you missed data. Formatting \data may help as well. Redownload the ROM(to make sure it is good) and follow these steps:
Reboot recovery
Run system wipe
Run Cache wipe
Format /system, /data
Wipe /dalvik
Then choose install .zip from SD, install CM7
Optional: Install GAPPS.
That should resolve it. And remember, NEVER restore system data from Titanium Backup.

FB 1.5.2 works well. No new features like 1.5.3 but at least I can use it without FC's.

Help get wifi calling app to work

Hey so recently I deleted my wifi calling app and decided that I want it back. I have a titanium backup of it but it won't install it. I searched for the kineto apk and installed that and the app opens but quickly closes after a few seconds.
Does it matter which rom I have? If so I am currently using xboarders tweaked 2.3.3 rom
Thanks

It should be working since that rom had that in it to begin with. you might want to try to fix permissions and wipe cache. If that doesn't work I believe you could just re-flash the rom right over yours. that should re-install the wifi calling.

Can i upgrade Valhalla 1.1 to 1.3.3 keeping all data?

Hi guys
I'm using Valhalla 1.1 (GB 2.3.4).
Can i upgrade to latest Valhalla ROM (1.3.3 GB 2.3.5) keeping all my applications and data?
Sent from me
Believe so. You could also make a backup of your rom then flash the newer Valhalla then advance restore your data to make sure.

I always do the latter. I don't like flashing over something without a clean slate to begin with.

Agreed, the only time I've had issues ( think random fc's, apps disappearing etc ) was flashing without factory reset, or restoring system data. I'd recommend taking the extra time to do it all from scratch and clean.

Maybe i ought to wait a little longer until we have an official GB ROM or maybe an ICS leak...
I just have a few bugs iritating me, but not enough to make me start backing up like a hundred apps i have and flash and restore for a whole night.
(Apps constantly forgetting their defaults, occasional reboot needed after modem is idle, memory running out quickly etc.)

Titanium Backup
Did you restore any apps through Titanium Backup? I managed to break my wi-fi when I loaded EB 2.5 because I stupidly restored a few system apps when running a batch restore. A full wipe and reinstall and then restoring only user apps either through Titanium Backup or the Market fixed the problem. Running smooth now.
