My friends and I have been using MyFitnessPal and other equivalent web sites to track our meals for a few months now. Most of these sites use a database of food items that have been submitted by users, and many times they're way off. I grew sick of having to look up food items online for accuracy, so I decided to write an Android app to make things easier.
Queue up my new (and first) Android application, "What's On Your Plate". It's a simple application that contains the USDA National Nutrient Database and all it's 7,906 items of goodness.
It allows you to:
Search for items by keywords.
Browse for items by category.
See detailed nutritional information for each item.
Choose a serving size, with custom units per item.
Save commonly used items to a list of favorites.
Share your selected item and serving size via email, Google Docs, or more.
Optionally display "net carbohydrates" rather than "carbohydrates".
I'm considering features such as listing the macro percentages within each food, and the ability to search for food items by percentages for when you're looking for something new to add to your next meal.
It's free of course, but there is a small AdMob ad at the bottom. Maybe it'll cover that $25 fee Google charges for posting on the market, but I doubt it haha.

I needed an interval timer for my at-home cardio workouts. In the past I enjoyed doing video workouts (Insanity and similar), but after doing one workout for a few times, I noticed that those videos start to annoy me.
All existing free interval timers allow performing only simple workouts, where all rest and work times are equal, or use a complicated interface which makes creation of advanced routines extremely painful.
So I decided to create a new free app, which uses simple text files for routine storage. You can upload a file on your phone using Dropbox, Bluetooth, USB cable or anything else that is convenient to you. You can even create a text file directly on your phone.
In addition to complete flexibility in workout planning, the following features are present:
★ play, pause, reset
★ displaying of the current and the next activity
★ speaking activity names aloud (you need to setup a TTS engine in your phone's options)
★ interval end sound
★ routine end sound
★ calculation of total routine time.

DIEM, my first Android app, has been optimized for productivity. I’ve designed this app with the objective of minimizing the time to enter a new transaction (since that’s what I’ll be using this app for, 90% of the time). The lesser the time a user has to spend on this app, the better it is. Hence, you’ll see that the screen that pops up as soon as you open the app is the ‘Add Transaction’ screen. Then there are features like Frequently Used Categories, which keep getting updated as you add transactions. Thus, a click, some scrolling, another click – all get replaced by a single click for majority of your transactions.
