hello
I am wondering if there is anyone here that still has a stock sensation from Bell.
I am just wondering which version of android are you running and has Bell even attempted to do over the air update yet?
well im sure it will take time for bell to upload their plethora of bloatware
hahaha yup I remember I purchased the phone the first day it came out.
They put so much garbage on its ridiculous ! I've rooted right away and flashed a clean rom.

There's been an OTA update a while back.
My version is 2.3.4/1.45.666.5

I bought the Galaxy Nexus when it first came out from Bell. I use the phone with my Rogers sim card. I am currently stuck on 4.0.1 and do not seem to recieve any updates. It is a yakjuux build. How can I update it to the most recent version? Does it have to do with using the Bell phone with my Rogers carrier?
In the same boat
I'm in the exact same boat and still on 4.0.1. Did you figure out why you're not getting updates?
Bump
I'm having the same issue. Any updates yet?
I'm living in Canada on a small network called Mobilicity and they don't sell this tmobile htc sensation. I don't need the tmobile apps cuz they don't work on our network up here. I assume that even when android 4.0 comes out on tmobile that I'm going to have to update manually? And if so should I already upgrade to android 4.0 seeing as Bell Cincinnati already is updating their sensations?
S-off, root, recovery, backup, and then install 3.32 firmware and ARHD 6.6.3...
There's no need for you to wait, and you can try other 3.32 base roms while you're at it.
Thanks a lot. I got it to work. I thought i bricked it at the CID part but was able to do it through the boot screen and get the right ID. Works amazing. Thanks for the help. I've fixed computers since age 12 and the more i went along the more natural it became.
I was rocking a Sony Ericsson TM506 for 2 years with Mobilicity up here. Then got this phone and heard there was an updated Android, and I get OCD when there's an update, i had to do it and i did it. Thanks to your help and the guides on this site.
Yep. Now you can just watch the thread for whatever ROM you decide to use and run manual updates as they come out... You can also use CWM from the playstore to automate the process, but many will argue that EXT4 is far superior.
Hi there
I recently got this fom from Telstra in Australia, and was just wondering if there was a way to flash it back to a stock HTC rom? Is windows phone like the iPhone in that the updates come from Apple directly? Or do they have to be carrier approved? Can't seem to find the answer anywhere.
The reason I want to flash it back to stock and not a Telstra rom is so I can get the updates directly from HTC.
Any ideas??
Cheers

Hey, there are no custom WP8 ROMs! WP8 is really not the same as iOS. All WP8 ROMs are stock because it is very fresh and new OS, currently noone can cook and flash custom ROM. You are running stock ROM. Or maybe 8X isn't your device??? I have no idea why your updates come from Apple... Maybe update is for any Apple's app in your phone?.. Or maybe you have iPhone... I don't know.

I'm pretty sure that updates are carrier specific. Don't quote me on that though. I am new to Windows Phones. If you are feeling froggy you can try this. It doesn't work on my Verizon 8X though.

Hello, a friend of mine, bless his heart, took all the updates from AT&T for his HTC One X. Now it has the dreaded 5.18.502.1 firmware that can't be rolled back (or can it?). He recently got a new phone and I would like to buy his off of him, but if it's not able to be rooted, I will likely decline. So I was wondering, is ANYONE working on a root for this, or does anyone know of anybody who is? If it's in process, I might still buy it and suck it up for a few months until it becomes publicly available, so I would like to know. I would like to get off of my Huawei Sonic on Cyanogen 7.2, since no further updates are available for it and probably never will be (for the price, it's a great phone once rooted and flashed with a Benru89's ROM). Thanks!

There is no root method available for the latest 5.18 firmware. It cannot be rolled back without s-off, which would first require an unlocked bootloader and root, such would first need a root method. I doubt whether a hack for this latest software like firmware is being worked on or will be released. It might happen, but I certainly wouldn't hold your breathe.

I've searched but not well enough I guess, but does anyone know if there has been a software update that has come out? Mine is still running the original jellybean since the day I got it. I'm rooted and I would hate to unroot just to find that there is no update.
Thank you in advance for any help you can provide.
No AT&T peeps out there??
