Y_Y
CELICA we have the same problem. did you solve it??

no yet !!!
but i have one idea ....
may be if i flash the efs.rfs with odin may going to work , because to use rootexplorer is vain ...
can you give some folder efs to see if you have some similary code ...
i think this file nv_data.bin have all that need imei and baseband ...
may be some help going to be welcome ...
thank you ...

delete and wrong nv_data.bin and nv_data.bin.md5
rename the good
nv_data.bin => .nv_data.bak
nv_data.bin.md5 => .nv_data.bak.md5
(must have a "." in front the nv_data files)
copy using root explorer to efs folder
change permission as rwx------
change owner to 1001 - radio
change group to 1001 - radio
efs folder permision should be rwxrwx--xx
efs folder Owner should be => radio
efs folder Group should be => system
and factory reset
Good luck
edit: root explorer have to set "show hidden files".

Firstly please stop spamming all the threads. Now just go to the service centre and tell them kies screwed you up and you want a replacement if they can't fix it. If they don't buy it just try to use Google and find out how to restore. If not go to the technician.
Cheers

man, calm down man. you using DXKP9?, where do you locate.
what is the meaning of flash it back?, it mean flash back to froyo?
show us what is inside your efs folder and do you have the nv_data.bin backup?
do your still having the file as below in you backup(the original file)
.nv_core.bak
.nv_core.bak.md5
.nv_data.bak
.nv_data.bak.md5
.nv_state
nv_data.bin
nv_data.bin.md5
forget about the file nv_data.bin & nv_data.bin.md5 in the phone, there are not the original.
or, do you want my help, although im not an expert.

yes
the technician said that he will flash it back to the orignal firmware and that is froyo. im from philippines.
i downloaded root explorer though my phone is not rooted i checked the efs and in properties its size is 0 and i think it is already empty Y_Y

It will work, but, both phones will have the same IMEI #. That's the reason why no one will share their efs folder (files).

The best way for you guys is to send your phones to the service centers, so they can restore your own original imei numbers.

My device ( Note 3 N900 ) was showing all 0s Imei after i replaced motherboard. So to fix it I rooted my device, go to root, delete the efs folder and reboot. After the reboot you will see a msg restoring settings.... thats how I got the imei back. Please try it at your own risk.

[Q] IMEI lost!!!! please help....

My imei no got lost while restoring backup using cwm..... i looked around the forum and the ".nv_data" method will not do because my efs folder has a file named "essiv" only and nothing else.....
if someone would confirm what files are contained in thier efs folder and mail it to me also i'll be grateful......
I don't think the 'efs folder' of one device can be used with other devices as it contains the device's IMEI number.
Could you elaborate a bit as to what did you do that resulted in the loss of your IMEI number ? It would help others avoid it in future.
Well.... i restored the same backup file couple of times 'coz i was trying to flash a new theme...btw i am on stock indian 2.3.5......
the files in efs folder can be edited using hex editor (read somewhere in the s2 forum...i don't remeber which thread) so the imei no. in that file can be modified...

[Q] Tired of trying to restore IMEI and Baseband Version in Rooted Samsung I9003

i was trying to install a custom rom in samsung I9003 ...after completing the procedure i lost my IMEI and Baseband version ...and the efs folder was also empty.(WIFI KEEP WORKING) I forgot to keep backup after that i again downgraded it to stock rom. Again efs folder was empty
After that i tried EFS professional Tool but while doing backup it says unable to create archive error status 7
but it created a folder in sd card and contains few file in tar.gz i extracted it and updated with odin again no IMEI
After that i download efs.tar.gz file from XDA site and flashed it again the problem repeated but suddenly i got some files efs folder and efs folder also contains some files and folders it looks like
Folders (Folder also Contains Files)
1. .files Folder ( .dm33, .dx1, .mp301)
2. bluetooth File (bt_addr)
3. dmp Folder (Sett)
4. imei Files (.nvmac.info , bt.txt , mps_code.dat)
5. smc-storage (Empty)
Files
1. .nv_core.bak
2. .nv_core.bak.md5
3. .nv_data.bak
4. .nv_data.bak.md5
5. .nv_state
6. cryptprop_applied_result
7. cryptprop_onetimeboot
8. cryptprop_persist.sys
9. cryptprop_phone_uuid
10. cryptprop_rebootMode
11. cryptprop_securewipedata
12. edk_d
13. edk_p
14. nv.log
15. nv_data.bin
16. nv_data.bin.md5
After that i back up the efs folder and and deleted it from the root and rebooted mobile and few files were created and then i copied IMEI folder from back up folder to the efs folder and again deleted nv_data.bin and nv_data.bin.md5 and renamed (In some thread i had found to copy .nv_data file but there isnt such file in my folder so)nv_data.bin to .nv_data and copied two copy of it to efs folder and renamed it to nv_data.bin and nv_data.bin.md5 and rebooted mobile but still same problem/
Now it looks like this
Firmware Version 2.3.4
Baseband Version Unknown
Kernel Version : 2.6.35.7-cl709629 [email protected]#9
Build Number : GB JPKP5
IMEI : Unknown
IMEI SV : Unknown
Wifi Keep Working But still no Mobile Signal and Imei is Unknown
I tried all possible solutions that i know and that i googled.
Sorry for bad english and I am from Nepal

[Q] Core Plus (SM-G350) - missing nv_data.bin, "Emergency calls only"

Hi guys,
does anyone of you have Core Plus rooted? If yes, can you please look with any file manager to /efs folder? I need to compare whole folder structure with someone who has fully worked phone. Because this phone is showing "Emergency calls only" and I found that my /efs folder is 99% corrupted. My /efs folder has this content (I see there only these sub-folders):
.files
bluetooth
FactoryApp
imei
lost+found
wifi
In folder "imei" I see only these 2 files:
.nvmac.info
mps_code.dat
The problem is that I cannot find there 2 important files nv_data.bin and nv_data.bin.md5 (files needed for successful phone registration to network by IMEI number)
Can you please check and let me know, what exactly you see in /efs folder and it's /imei sub-folder?
Thank you very much !!!!
Rado
PS: I rooted my wife's Core Plus but I see in /efs folder exactly the same structure as on mine. But I cannot see nv_data.bin on her phone too !!! And her phone is fully working !!! Why I cannot see nv_data.bin in /efs folder on Galaxy Core Plus? Does it work somehow differently than other Samsung phones???
So it must work differently than other Samsung models. In ODIN I checked boxes:
Re-Partition
Nand Erase All
Phone EFS Clear
but after flashing oficial ROM I still have my good IMEI and SN. There must be some other partition where are nv_ files stored (through EFS Professional I saw there 19 partitions)
I analysed .PIT file and also used EFS Professional and I see that there is 19 partititons:
cal
syspam_dep
param-spml_dep
rf_cal_file
kernel
recovery
modem
reserved
sbl1
sbl2
param
dtsbk
dts
fota_sig
efs
csc
system
hidden
userdata
Can you please specify on which partition is located nv_data.bin ?

The EFS is unique to every phone and it shouldn't be shared (and it can't be). If you did the NAND Erase and the EFS Clear in ODIN without a backup of /efs, you have no options to restore it.
