[Q]Ringtone volume low, HTC should let user to adjust gain in edit ringtone - HTC Sensation

There are lots people complaint about ringtone volume is not loud enough. Why dont HTC just let user to adjust gain while edit ringtone from music?

There is only so much you can tweak as the speaker is pretty bad...there is a good tweak made by Mudhi that increases the volume for the phone I flash it everytime and it does make it a bit louder.

^^i've flashed (actually just used the es explorer) the files from that link before. it distorted the volume at the loudest ringtone setting. i had to roll back to the stock backup. try it out though.

Sure. You should import the .wav file that corresponds to the mentioned alert in your PC to a wave editor and normalize it. If it is already normalized you should try to apply multiband compression to it and tweak the compression ratio of the frequencies that match the characteristics of your devices loudspeaker
Ok let me rephrase. Can i have my SMS tone like 100% Volume and the rest of the System Volume at 10%?
Yes. Still the same answer... shortly - you have to change the volume individually for each file by opening those files in an audio editor - the sms one louder and if it is already 100% then you need to make other ones softer. I am talking about the internal volume of the files. All the audio is played through the same wave device which is affected by a single system volume slider so there is surely no way to autoroute "recalled" wavs to a virtual buses with individual volume sliders. Maybe in the future... but this is more like in a pro audio playground already, I dont think this kind of consumer devices would ever support such a specific ground.
No its not a solution to reduce the volume of all system sounds and sounds of the applications, midis and whatever they use.
I think Photo Contacs Pro can do that...but i cant switch the phone silent with the regular volume control anymore...wich is something i like.

WM 6.5 How can i change the inCall volume?

Hi. I am trying to make sound louder when i talk with someone (InCall).
So i did what i had done when i had wm6.1 I pasted the modified audiopara file to increase the volume. But i don't know if i have inCall volume to max. (I hear the person to which i am talking not so loud as in past..) How can i change the incall volume to see if i have it to max? I can change system volume, Ring volume, but by changing them, the incall volume is always the same... Any help?

X10 Ringer volume

So we have root!
Somebody known app or tweak to increase the ringer volume?
Thx
I have no idea!
The volume of the ringer in my X10i is also too bad.
sometime I can't hear what the people said.
I also want to know how to change it.
So no one found a way to increase the ringer volume? I feel sometimes that I am going deaf. I may have to change my ringtone, but this is really annoying missing calls while you are driving.
Ringer as well as incall volume is too low in the X10.

true, but at least I can illuminate the in call volume issue with using bluetooth headset but the ringer...
This is weird that there is no hack for it.
Just use a decent ringtone, I've not found the volume to be a problem.
hey guys
i know theres not a hack for the volume ringer, but what i did was i use a program which can edit music files on my PC, and i just increase the actual volume of the file itself. then i transfer it to my phone and it plays a lot louder on the speaker. hopefully that can work for some of u
the program i use is called 'cool edit pro' however im sure theres a couple of programs which can do the same thing.
the effect is called 'increase amplitude', i usually use a scientific filter to decrease the amount of base in a song (which hte x10's speakerphone distorts anyways) and then increase the amplitude by about 10dB's. makes it a lot louder on the actual phone vs just putting the original mp3 in.

Ringtone is decent, volume sucks.
Thanks for your solution but that wasn't what I was looking for. I want to explode my speaker and I am looking for a hack.
Cheers,
search google for editing audiopara.csv, not sure how to do it myself as I find the volume to be mostly fine, but that is the key to changing it
just lookied at my /system dump, it's actualy audiofilter.csv on x10, and it's in system/etc

[Q] what file should i edit to increase the volume of the touch sound ?

thank you for you answer
/system/media/audio/ui/. Some files in there, likely the Effect_Tick.ogg or maybe a Keypress*.ogg.
thanks but thats not the solution
i know where is the file and if i play it in the player it is much louder (playing through the media vol) than played by the system ui vol
how can i control the system ui volume?
Pretty much all of your options are located in the Settings -> Sound menu. If they're at full, pretty much the only feasible way to increase sound is to either:
1. Edit the files i mentioned (audacity, for example, can do this)
2. Use an app such as Volume+. I'm unsure if this works on ICS though, i've not needed to jack up the volume myself.
Thanks
but you are still wrong i have volume+
and the touch volume is not controlled by any of the sound sliders in the sound menu
unless you put on vibrate then its mute

In Call volume very loud even at to lowest

Normally people find that the call volume on their phone is very low but mine on the contrary is very loud even if I lower it as much as I can both with the headphone and without it using the headset speaker. Is it possible to lower it by modifying some settings something like the opposite of The sound mod. My phone is rooted so it should be easy right?
I install the sound mod and it still the same so I reinstalled the stock version
