i used the "remove htc lockscreen" from the ARHD thread, but i'd like to restore it now. can anyone help? would like to avoid reflashing rom...
That's the only thing i can think of. unless you post this in the ARHD thread and ask someone if they know or can do it for you. Edit. unless you have a backup before you did that?
If you still have the original .zip for the Rom on your computer, its as simple as taking the htclockscreen app out of system/app and pushing it to your current system using a root explorer.

Hi,
Have you checked HERE?
Scroll lag is gonna happen until HWA is de-kinked. Wait for HTC to release a stable ICS build (perhaps in January if Bell is looking to update in February) and that'll go away.
Sorry for the noob questions, but everytime I restore a rom do I have to do a full wipe? Or is not necessary?

Hi,
Not necessary to do a full wipe,if you are restoring a CWM backup.
Thanks, I was just wondering because I feel the phone slower everytime I switch roms. maybe I thought it had something to do with me not doing a full wipe.

I replaced rosie from arhd with the super smooth one from insertcoin ics build. maybe give it a try aswell. for me its quite a difference.
download insertcoin from here (http://www.multiupload.com/GU7W88GWJ5) and open the archive. then go to system -> app and extract rosie.apk. and now just copy the apk to /system/app on your phone and reboot.
Hi this is my first thread so hi everyone. This question has probably been asked before but I couldnt find it.
I have a HTC sensation XE on the way to me. Is there a list of Roms for this phone or will any HTC Sensation Rom work with the XE?
Thanks in advance for the replys.

You can flash any rom you like, in fact, XE and non-XE is not a lot in difference(except Beats Audio)

you just need to compare which one is the most suitable for you..
in case you dont really sure which is for you, do like me...download every roms available...test it for few hours..then flash the others..then go on and on..

If you want to flash ROMs,you should do that.
Sent from my HTC Sensation XE with Beats Audio using xda premium
I don't know if it's really necessary to be Supercid, i have Cid HTC_102 and all roms i've tested so far (ARHD, Insert Coin, Elegancia, Virtuous Inquisition) are working.
First let's talk about what a "CID" is in the first place. CID, as best I can tell, stands for "Carrier IDentification" and it's a little number that restricts which software can be installed on a phone. The CID determines for example, that only an officially-signed T-Mobile radio can be installed on a T-Mobile phone. And it's why you can't flash a Vodafone ROM onto a Bell Desire Z.
It may be helpful to think of the CID as a kind of "region coding" like you find on DVDs, where a North American DVD can't be played in a European player. But if you hack your DVD player, you could switch it from a European player to a North American one. Or you might even hack it to play both.
You can do the same with phones. SuperCID is, as the name implies, a universal CID where the phone will accept any kind of firmware image from anyone.

Hey guys,
I just received my Sensation 4G a few days ago, as a warranty replacement for my HTC G2. I have enjoyed the phone, but now I want a little better performance. I am currently rooted(perma) with S-OFF. (used Revolutionary). Stock 2.3.4 ROM
I have removed the TMO crap (mall, apps, telenav, teeter, Slacker, Qik, etc). I downloaded ROOT Browser from the market, went to SYSTEM/APP and selected Lookout, then Delete. Same process I did for every other app/bloatware I removed. But Lookout is still showing in my app drawer. Any ideas on what im missing?
Thanks everyone
Hmmm I have yet to see this added on my phone or a Rom idk

Turns out some of the app icons are still in my drawer. Nova is gone , but slacker is still there. Weird

Maybe your phone was reset vs ruu at HTC or wherever they refreb them
Sent from my HTC Sensation 4G using xda premium
It came brand new. In box, sealed, headphones etc etc. Very very unlikely its a refurb.
Not sure why some bloat deletes and some doesn't

Check out /data/app and see if it is in there too

Hmmm idk lol but that's a third party app all I know ruu with one I posted and format sdcard

I suggest using RootExplorer or ES File Explorer (in root mode). Go to the top level directory (where you see /System, /Data, /SDCard, etc and touch the search button. Type lookout and see what the search comes up with. It should help you find it.
If 'Lookout' Had been granted Device Administrator then it cannot be uninstalled from the phone until this option is unchecked. Or a factory reset in recovery.
This could maybe be the issue ??
Lookout did not have administrator privilege.
I restored a backup of my original software. So everything is back to stock (rooted w/ S-Off).
So how can I remove bloat WITHOUT using a BAT or adb commands ?
I assume I can use RootExplorer , go to /System/App and select said bloatware and then select Uninstall.
Is there an official list of safe bloatware to remove? (Nova, teeter, tmo mall, qik, etc etc)
Many thanks !

I would suggest using a custom ROM like Android Revolution HD...they already removed the bloatware in their ROMs and stripped it down to just essentials. It is still using the Sense framework too, so you know it has good compatibility with your device...otherwise, copy down the list of files in your /system/app directory, post it here, and I will tell you what you can safely get rid of.
Just remember that, if you decide to flash the android 4/ICS version of Android Revolution, you MUST have SuperCID and flashed updated ICS firmware or it will NOT boot
You could try ROM cleaner it's in the themes and apps section.
Sent from my HTC Sensation XE with Beats Audio using XDA
Thanks guy's, I guess I will just use ROMcleaner. I'm not flashing any custom ROMs until the official TMO ics update comes out.
Thanks again

Hey guys, I'm not happy with the way that my Sensation is working lately. Feels slow, many random reboots.
I want to wipe and maybe delete sd card. If I backup apps using titanium backup, and I'll delete all files in the sd card (except titanium backup folder, songs, rom etc) will I be able to restore all apps? I'll do a full wipe as well.

Back up all apps...then transfer that backup to your pc. After that...do a factory reset from settings on your phone and you'll see a difference. Restoring data may have caused you problems. Only restore apps...and star downloading data thats only req.
Good luck!

Also if your still feeling slow you can try a different kernel. I'm using PYD-X stable 3.1, with mod . It's very fast. With the mod you can go into terminal emulator and do a flush when your feeling a lag , it really works well. You can read and find both in sensation android development. Check it out. Best wishes .

Can someone please tell me where is "all apps" icon located? I want to replace it, I've searched in Rosie.apk but the one in Rosie.apk isn't the right one. And I don't want to install launchers, so if you don't know where is located don't tell me to change it with some launcher.

You should be rooted to do the change... So if you are rooted then follow this
Install ES file explorer.. Then open it.. Go to settings of it.. And check all the things present in root settings sub section..
Then come back..
Then. Default files it shows are of
/sdcard... So press up button once
Then go to /system/apps
There you will find the Rosie.apk

I checked the thread..and I downloaded some zip file which removes app drawer icon. But how can I put my own icon?
If it's about editing .m10 files, then which file exactly?

From that thread it looks like its not really possible to edit .m10 files (regardless of where they are). Also, I'm not really a fan of Sense and don't have any Sense ROM installed so I can't dig anything further.
