I have the File and have installed the ISO onto the laptop yet im wondering if there is a way of getting a USB modem recognised for the eeepc? as thats the ROM/ ISO i am using..
Does your transformer use USB modem or is it the 3G wifi model
the version of andorid for the eeepc has nothing to do with this device and you should ask any questins about it in the development site for android on the eeepc not here

I'm in the same boat. Just got mine the other day.
I finally figured out why adb can't enumerate the tablet -- there's no USB driver! Obviously, there must be somewhere, but where?

FOLLOWUP: I think I found the product page from the original manufacturer: It's full name is PiPO P733 (S1) and is on pipo.com.cn. (I can't post a link because I don't have enough posts on xda).
I sent a quick email to them asking for a Windows 7 device driver for this tablet. I'll reply back to this thread when I hear back.

I attached the usb driver that I received from my vendor, LightInTheBox.com. Unfortunately, it didn't work for me. Maybe you'll have better luck.
After that, PiPO sent me to instructions to flash the ROM: (URL Removed because I don't have enough posts. If you need this, PM me, and I'll send it to you.)
On the PiPO page, you'll find links to the RKBATCHTOOL which handles the update and a link to the page for the firmware.
Please note, that the updated firmware didn't fix my issue either. It did, however, allow me to use the Chrome browser. (Chrome crashed with the original firmware.)

P.S.: salllyna: I'll send the URL to you via PM.

my pipo S1 table auto installed a driver when i plugged it on my pc/laptop so i was wondering it might be ur OSversion or other stuffs
Pipo smart S1 driver
You can download a program called moborbo, install it in your PC, Connect your Pipo tablet through the USB to your PC and then open the program and it will install the driver automatically. You can watch the tutorial video for this in youtube just open youtube and write on search Pipo Smart S1 RK3066 ROOT. Sorry, i can't put the url as am a new member. Hope it helps you
Just picked up a S1 last week and was looking around for rooting instruction for it. I ran into this website http://www.topnotchtablets.com/RK3066firmware which has the batch tool, some instructions and custom firmware. Haven't tried it yet, but I thought I would share. Should note that the custom firmware is supposed to have a fix for gameloft games!
Just picked up one of these this week but there doesn't seem much info on xda so i thought id share this -

It comes down to drivers. Most USB Modems do not have native support.
I use my phone to tether via BT/WiFi. The second sure fire way is to use MiFi (3G to WiFi).
You can try the app PPP Widget, but no guarantees. Bit is your best bet.
i try ppp widget but not working
its stuck on dailing conn
my modem is huawei usb modem e173
Hello ,
I got a tablet with keyboard that is Win8 OS . I try to connect it to my PC using the charger-usb cable but the PC doesn't recognize it
Do I have to use special cable for this or any other reason ?
regards Doron
Here you are on an Asus TF700 android tab forum, not windows 8.
But even if you were on the right forum, you don't give what brand and model is your tab. You can't expect much help that way...

I've been searching all over the net, and I seem to only find Japanese language sites.
Which makes me wonder, has this tablet not been release overseas.
It is the ASUS Memo 7 (not the HD model).
It uses the Intel Atom CPU.
Actually I am pleased with the purpose I bought it for except the lack of OTG due to Android 4.4.2.
--> So I MUST root this thing.
Any help welcome.

Yup. Also gave towelroot a go. No prevail.
Updates, I could install ADB USB on my PC, and boot the tablet in safe mode. USB Debugging + volume down during boot up.
ADB shell/connection - OK.
Was going to try the superuser method, but can't seem to find where to download the files and what to do next.
Advice please. http://androidsu.com/superuser/ <-- there is an x86 file here but seems that link is broken.
Thanks.
Here is the only other thread I've found on our device. I'll keep trying to figure things out too. Maybe we will find help eventually.

Its so new that no programmer got around it yet. Must be because of the new kernel, named ARC.

hi, has anyone tried to install the exposed frameeork?
I need help really quickly!
So I tried to flash my Acer Iconia One 7 B1-730 (non-hd) tablet using fastboot and the problem is that I've used the HD version of the .img when flashing it, since they are not adapted for the model, my tablet screen doesn't work anymore.
Is there anybody on the forum that have the same tablet as me that could dump his .img so I could recover mine ?

Best place to ask is the All about Acer Iconia One 7 - B1-730HD (Q&A, TROUBLESHOOTING, ROOT, HELP) thread.
Hopefully you will get quick and proper help there.
Thread closed and thank you.
Happy new year !
