[Satisfied] Just flash CM7 - HTC Desire S

So i just flash my desire s with CM-7.1.0
3 questions :
1) i read some forum where it says that the phone would be better if the battery would not fully charge, my phone would only charge to 91% then it would stop. In the long run would it be better if i were to tweak with it?
2) i can't seem to figure how to set my input method from "imput method.jpg" on chat to "imput method2.jpg" which only appear in calculator. is there something that i am missing?
whenever i long-press to edit and select input method i only have android keyboard.
3) i went to android market on HTC and notice that google map is no longer compatible. i had it before flashing so i am curious as to why is it.
thanks in advance.

Hello,
Some Answers
1) You should be able to either go into recovery and then use the option wipe battery stats, or simply download the battery calibration free application from the market which does the same thing and then see how your phone charges. I don't think there is any truth in it being better if you don't fully charge your phone.
2) afraid that I don't use CM so not sure...
3) not sure why this would be, follow this link for google maps

[Q] Just flash CM7 [Satisfied]
Well :
1. It seem to charge to 100% and only 2 out of 10 times it will stop at 90%.
2. i just download different key inputs from the market which suits me.
3. GoogleMap still incompatible, but i was able to find the apk and is able to download it with my phone. (deleted it after awhile)
*******Thank you ben_pyett for taking your time to reply*******

Response - stepwise:
1. Did you try charging offline (with phone switched off)? After a full charge, return to recovery mode & wipe battery stats.
2. You've fixed this one
3. Didn't you flash gapps (google apps)?

Just a few quick questions... Seriously...

Okay, first, thanks for existing, it rocks on many levels and what nots.
Second, as the title says, just a few quick questions \ issues...
When I go into USB debugging mode, IE plugging the EVO into usb, the debugging screen only comes on for a few seconds and whether or not I choose an option nothing happens.
Next, is there an easier way to get to the live wallpapers then having to go through settingsā€¦ As in, is there an app that can get you to it quicker instead of having to go through all the steps.
Also, are you able to back up the texts to the SD card from the stock text program? If no, is there one that does?
And finally, Is there a ROM out there where you can change the home page of the seven screens?
So, any help is appreciated, and thank you in advance.

1. usually it just sits there in the notification area. therefore you shouldnt see anything happening unless youre doing something on your pc.
2. yes you can back up your texts. there are two ways, you can use an offline app like SMS backup and restore (off the market) that can do it for but it's manual, the other way is to back your SMS online automatically via Lookout (virus protection app, works quite well) or simply download SMS backup+ which autobacks up your SMS onto your gmail account. both SMS backup+ and lookout can back up at specific intervals you set up but only SMS backup+ does it after each SMS if you so choose to. I havent seen any negative issues with the battery and ive been using it since June 4th
3. there are roms, Ive been getting some positive results and feedback with Myn's warm twopointtwo ROM (it should be on the first page of the dev page for the EVO). but if you want 7 screens...i am assuming you dont like Sense (as that has 7 screens) you can try a home launcher replacement such as LauncherPro. I would recommand staying clean or ADW.launcher, it's dog-slow!
hope that helped!
Great stuff...
Appreciate the help... My issue with the USB at the moment isn't an issue but hopefully it won't bug me again.
And any idea on how to access live wallpapers in a quicker fashion then the curent method?
Anyway,thanks again!

[APP] Unlock At Home Using Wifi v1.5.9

Hi people,
I'm the developer of an application distributed on the market called "Unlock At Home Using Wifi", I've developed this basically because I was tired of having to unlock the phone's dots security pattern in every time and place, specially when I was at secure locations, like home f.e.
The idea of the application is that whenever the phone is connected to a wifi network defined as secure, you'll have to unlock the device just ONCE, and then after disconnection, lock will be again automatically enabled. Also you can define a different wifi sleep policy depending if you are in a secure location or not.
NOTE: I'm deleting my xda-developers account (this thread will stay here I think) but isn't supported for me anymore. If you want to contact me please use the provided email at market. Thanks everyone!
UPDATES
*** version 1.5.9 *** (05/12/2011)
(RECOMMENDED BRANCH)
Free market application link
- Enforced and default activation of "(Wifi) White-Network Always On" option (sleep policy RECOMMENDED), if it's off the application might get some issues.
*** version 1.5.8 *** (04/28/2011)
- Several issues fixed in service (unlock finally holds all the time it shoulds)
- Added option to disable the screen flick on wifi off/screen off locking situations (NOT RECOMMENDED)
*** version 1.5.7 *** (04/25/2011)
- Fixing keyguard
- Better app behavior
*** version 1.5.6 *** (04/11/2011)
Now when app detects a white-list network connection, it'll show a yellow status bar icon, indicating that after unlocking, phone will switch to fixed unlocked status (red icon). Known issue: From time to time, at least in my phone (CM7) keyguard is coming back on his own, it this happens also to you, you'll have to unlock again to fix it, I'm looking for a solution to this... (I feel a bit at the limit of OS posibilities now...)
*** version 1.5.5 ***
More app behavior fix... Hope this is the last. Screen now will flick a little when disconnecting. (it'll fix keygyard state).
Remember now you just have to unlock the device once, when connected to a secure located wifi network. It's safer and fits quite well inside the OS limits.
*** version 1.4 ***
NOTE: This branch is a bit outdated now, the recommended one is the 1.5, try this for curiosity if you want, view the (outdated) source) and so if you want, but this is, I repeat it: OUTDATED.
If you don't like the idea of a totally unlocked device, try this, is only for Android 2.2 onwards, it will change from dotted lock to slide lock on secure locations, requires a rooted phone and installing the app in /system/app.
APK version 1.4 android 2.2+
Github source code repository (v.1.4)
If you don't know how to install this, better go for the 1.5 free market app.
FINAL WORDS
If you find useful this application, please consider a small donation via the donation app. Thank you very much!
Works on Galaxy S! Great app thx! how is the battery drain?
Hi DasPrinzip,
in my experience, almost inexistent, it's just hooked to wifi up/wifi down events, also has a very low memory footprint.... check for yourself
Greetings,
Ruben
Works well on Desire Z CM7 nightly #32
Tested today and no problem yet.
Thanks
fantastic idea. feel like I saw a post here or somewhere else where you were asking opinions on pricing. Did you decide yet if/what you are going to charge for this? This app would make a great partnership with something like widget locker.

Thank you ThePitboss, the app is GPL3 free software, may be you saw another app that was inspired on mine, recently on the xda-news ...
You can get the github repo and compile for yourself if you want...

Unlocking doesn't work affter reboot
It worked successfully for a certain time yesterday, after reboot I realize that the phone get lock even when on wifi whitelist. Then when I unlock the phone, the green lock icon is still there. I have to click on "Tap for modify networks lock configuration" in notification area to unlock the phone again ( I see the red unlock icon in status bar). It works for a few minutes, then it revert back to green lock icon even when unlock.
I'm using the github apk installed with adb push.
Using CM7 nightly #32 on rooted Desire Z
Will try CM7 RC4 today with all the usual wipe dalvick cache etc...
Any Ideas?
No success after upgraded to CM7 RC4 and reinstalled apk. No significant messages in logs. UnlockAtHome icon still switching to green lock even when my sreen is on :-(

It works but reboot erase configs. I went to an internet coffee shop to test it and it last 2 hours without any problem, then I came back at home enter my shema to unlock and it works well. I tried a reboot, then it lost all configs like if it was a new app. I did the same config as the first time: settings wifi always on a you suggested. Waited a few minutes... still working. Did another reboot and lost again my all configs.
Could it be a permission problem? I did a fix permission from recovery, but didn't change anythings.

Weird... yes it seems a permission problem, may be your phone still contains the old /system/app aplication data (?), look in /data/data directory using adb shell, the app id is com.accedo.unlockathome, compare user/permissions of the directory, or if you want to make to make sure the directory is created again (sample commands, take care with this):
[uninstall unlock at home once again, plug your phone]
adb shell
cd /data/data
ls -ld com.accedo.unlockathome
[if you see some dir here delete it with this command:]
rm -rf com.accedo.unlockathome
Install the app again, you'll need to configure your data again but I hope this time you get no issues
Installed from Market for me! Nice app - will try it out over next few days.
Great that your offering is Free / GPL unlike the other one
I am running Pongsters HyperDroidGBX-v11 on an HTC HD2
Cheers
UPDATE
Uninstalled - used 70% battery overnight - normal usage is 3%. I normally turn everything off using a power widget - no WiFi, etc - phone in airplane mode. Despite this left with 9% battery when I woke up - was at 79% 8 hours before going to kip!

But there was a file in dalvik-cache which I deleted. Removed copmpletly the app and did a reinstall and it reverted back to the same problem. It works for a few minutes and then locks again. It solved configs problem at reboot, but still no improvement.

Please could help me with this issue checking what process are draining the battery, I've tested it for a few hours and here everything is running ok, just a guess: Did you checked the "white network always on" checkbox? Maybe the problem is some process over-using wifi?
Anyway I'm interested (if you can do some more testing) about what process are draining your battery, you can check it in "About the phone > Battery use"
(I've never seen my process in that list in my phone)

Some ICS 4.0 bugs and quirks

NOTE: This is a list of bugs for STOCK (NON-MODDED) ICS 4.0.3 & 4.0.4 (LC4, LD2, and LE2) (Most bugs from the initial LC4 leak fixed after the two major version leak updates) from DesignGears.
If you have flashed to ANY OTHER CUSTOM ICS 4.0 ROM, PLEASE WRITE IN THE DEVELOPERS' / ROM thread.
1 - 03/26/2012: When selecting "Contacts to Display" and selecting CUSTOMIZE LIST > Selecting ONLY Google Contacts (EXCLUDE G+).
Then you start typing someone's name, it returns contacts in SIM card and on Google contacts.
2 - 03/26/2012: Autocorrect on the included "Android Keyboard" doesn't work by pressing spacebar.....like it had been in previous 2.3.6. Even when changing setting to VERY AGGRESSIVE. FIXED IN UCLD2 LEAK
3 - 03/26/2012 [CONFIRMED] When deleting a message thread, the phone will freeze and turn into a blank screen (except notification bar) then the messaging app will close. FIXED IN UCLD2 LEAK
4 - 03/26/2012: [CONFIRMED] When using the "PHONE" icon to bring up dialer, contacts tab is no longer associated in it.
5 - 03/27/2012: 50/50 Users report more sensitivity on the touch screen, some report lack of sensitivity of touch.
6 - 03/27/2012: HOW TO take screen shot: Press AND HOLD ... VOL DOWN + POWER BUTTON for at LEAST 1-2 SECONDS. You will then be prompted to view the screenshot in notification bar / indicator.
METHOD #2 of taking screenshots: Press and HOLD Power button + HOME key.
7 - 03/29/2012: Some users report when tapping "RESTART" or "SHUTDOWN" on STOCK Power-button option, the phone will freeze. Either you have it or you don't. FIXED IN UCLD2 LEAK
7 - 04/02/2012: Users report echoing or unable to hear other party on an INCOMING call. This is a "hit or miss" bug.
8 - 04/02/2012: [CONFIRMED]Bluetooth stack in the new kernel has resolved a LOT of vehicle-to-android phone issue (static, drops, functions, etc.).
10 - 04/04/2012: [CONFIRMED BIG ISSUE] When creating a new contact in phone and setting it to GOOGLE CONTACTs; forcing a sync or auto-sync option will NOT push the contact to google servers for backup purposes. However, deleting or creating a contact while logged in on a full web browser will push it back to the phone via sync. FIXED IN UCLD2 LEAK
11 - 04/09/2012: [CONFIRMED] There are known issues with stock email app. Syncing unread/read e-mails will not push back to exchange server email client. Also emails me not completely send and stays "stuck" in outgoing box.
FIX (Thanks dixit):
This google thread shows the official issue and show that it was fixed officially in 4.0.4.
https://code.google.com/p/android/is...etail?id=23534
If you scroll down to post 51 you will see there is a link where someone put the two 4.0.4 APKs from a Spring Nexus S 4G which fixes this issue as explained above. So just go to that link, download the two Email/Exchange APKs, put them in System/App, correct permissions, remove your two Samsung Native Email APKs, and that will fix the issue of emails being stuck in the outbox.
Here is the direct link to those two APKs off Post 51
http://files.devphone.org/404mail/
11 - 04/15/2012: [CONFIRMED] When adjusting ringtone level in SETTINGS > SOUNDS, the ringtone level will not lower or raise; it stays at one level.
FIX: Adjust via volume rocker while in any other system screen (Home, MMS, etc) BUT NOT IN-APP. *Thanks petrochemicals!*
Here's what I found and posted in another thread...
So far so good except a few things:
1) I hate the fact that "contacts" are no longer visible in the dialer. Now I need another icon that I rarely use. The only option appears to hit menu and select contacts from there.
2) The "power off" and "restart" options in the extended power menu (hold power button down) seem to lock up and freeze whenever I try to use one of these thus requiring a battery pull. Anyone else experiencing this?
3) Can't use built in hotspot tethering anymore. This is something that I use with my tablet often. Any solutions other than a 3rd party app? If not, what app is everyone using for hotspot tethering?
4) Why in the world don't the signal bars turn green once fully connected? It's driving me crazy because normally that means its not connected to your Google account. This is the first time I've seen this (of MANY different Android phones). - This appears to be an ATT thing as other carriers and phones change the signal bars color when its connected to your google account (as it always should be).
Grey bars, works for for me; turning green = same color as battery = confusion to some it is acting as a double icon of ur battery? lol
I don't get a freeze in the menu.... I'm assuming you're talking about the built-in menu not a modded one? I just use the one that came with the ICS.
Hotspot tethering, you'll have to wait for a dev to mod that unless you are wanting an app for it.
I can tell you that I got my portable hotspot to work. It gave me numerous error messages though when I first went to set it up and the screen freezes when I turn it on. I went back to home and back to the hotspot settings and the toggle remained on. I changed the default password to all 9s bc I was getting an invalid password error. After that, I connected my old iPhone to the Skyrocket wi-fi.
I used to use Barnicle Wi-fi tether but it doesn't work now. Is there a difference between the stock portable wi-fi hotspot program on the phone and Barnicle? Im just curious if Barnicle masked the fact that the user was tethering.

Yes, I'm referring to the built in power menu. I fixed permissions in CWM and still no go. Any ideas???
I find the keyboard to be a bit slow on the responsive side. Anyone else running into that or am I just trying to type too fast?
Perform a Factory data / reset?
I find the new keyboard fairly responsive vs the old one; I just thought i typed too fast for the old one lol. This one actually keeps up and Swype keyboard tapping works more fluent as well.
good job guys, keep up the troubleshooting so hopefully some devs will cook up a nice rom

I'll give that a spin. I did that once already to fix my home button problem, so I'll try and do another. But yea I use to use the ICS keyboard from the market on GB, and that was quick enough for me.
stuff I notice so far
I did notice the contact tab missing from dialer. The menu selected one doesn't allow right and left swipe for call/text. In the contacts app, the swipe works ok.
the only real problem for me, thus far, is when deleting SMS threads; messaging force closes.
Anyone else have that?
BTW thanks for starting this thread, wasn't sure where to post bugs - I think this may be usefull to keep them all in one spot.
Getting some odd behavior from Rom Mngr
Aside from other errors I got, when I ask ROM Mngr. to perform a task, I get a bunch of errors like "Messaging has failed," "Internet has failed," "com.google.xx" has failed. But then it goes and performs the request.
However! Whereas on 2.3.6 UCLA3, when requesting a backup via ROM Mngr., it would go straight to the backup whereas now, it goes into CWM and I still have to select Backup from the option there.
Deleting threads freezes my messaging also.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I727 using XDA
Noticed a new one.
Not getting pictures with messages now, too.
Nvm. Damn - I hate bug posts. They come, they go.
The only thing I've noticed so far is I don't seem to get LTE in my house anymore. Boo...
I'm having issues with audio files. I can't use either Google Play Music, Samsung Music Player or Doubletwist to play audio. It creates duplicates which I believe corrupt the file itself.

I get it too, but there is no need for a battery pull if it freezes during a restart.
Press and hold the power button and the phone will restart after a few seconds.
It's a leak, not an official release, so I fully expected bugs.
Face unlock crashes a lot for me.
It fails o power on the camera and then the keypad doesn't respond for PIN input.
Requires a reboot.

Run factory data reset, then fix permissions and then reboot. Face unlock works perfect and pin input works.

an experiment to drastically improve battery life consumption

so I had almost decided to give up my One X for something newer (I have been looking at Xiaomi MI3 ), but I wanted to give the One X one last shot.
I have no other problem with my Evita except for the battery life - so that is the one thing I wanted improved. This post is not for people who are already getting 4-5 hours of screen-on time. But I was barely getting through HALF A DAY on my evita.
WARNING: this will format your entire phone - including SDCARD and the whole system. So make sure your system is backed up. Also make sure that you are S-OFF.
step 1 - upgrade the firmware/hboot to 2.18. A lot of you will flash the RUU for this - I went for the simpler method (thanks @timmaaa ) using the firmware here.
Code:
fastboot oem rebootRUU
fastboot flash zip 218firmware.zip
If the output ends with "FAILED (remote: 90 hboot pre-update! please flush image again immediately)", run the previous command again. If it ends with "INFO..... OK", just reboot to the bootloader with this command:
fastboot reboot-bootloader
step 2 - upgrade recovery to TWRP 2.7.1.0
Code:
fastboot flash recovery openrecovery-twrp-2.7.1.0-evita.img
step 3 - boot to recovery. in TWRP run a full wipe . EVERYTHING. Reboot to recovery.
step 4 - boot to recovery. advanced -> fix permissions. Reboot to recovery.
step 5 - boot to recovery. copy your ROM and gapps to "internal_sd" (note if you see your folder as "/sdcard", then try wiping and rebooting again). I used cm-11-20140718-NIGHTLY-evita.zip and pa_gapps-modular-micro-4.4.4-20140716-signed.zip
step 6 - boot normally and setup your android. reboot to recovery
step 7 - download bubba kernel as well as normalToQV script. install from recovery.
step 8 - Download PurePerformanceX and install through recovery.
step 9 - boot normally
step 10 - go to your brightness settings and click the small settings icon next to the brightness bar. Set sensitivity to "very high" and click adjust (this will cause the evita to react quickly to ambient light changes). Also (and this bit is a little hard to explain) you need to set the system so that it is dimmer than necessary. The Evita's backlight is actually too bright for its own good and consumes a lot of power. So reduce the intensity of backlight at all "levels"
Step 11 - remember to turn off NFC. You can switch off other networks off too, but I keep GPS at high accuracy most of the time.
Ste 12 - with full credit to @timmaaa through this post. I have made some changes in the text below
"First (and I'm not sure if this is relevant because I am still waiting for my OPO to be delivered) thing is to enter Privacy Guard through Settings (if it exists), then click Advanced or Show Built-In Apps. From here you can select Google Play Services and turn off everything except for location.
Next you need to download Android Tuner. Open it and go to Android Tuner -> Sidebar Menu -> Apps Manager -> Application Startups, open the box at the top and change it to All, click the button in the bottom-right until it says System, scroll to Google Play Services and select it, a huge list will open, scroll to very near the bottom and find the Wakeup option, uncheck the box.
Again, open Android Tuner it and pull out the side menu on the left, and go to Android Tuner -> Sidebar Menu -> Apps Manager -> Application Manager. Then select the "Apps" tab and Click the centre box at the bottom until it says System, scroll to find Google Play Services and highlight it, press the Manage button in the bottom-right and select Permissions. This should bring you to the Perms tab, swipe across to the Services tab. In this list you want to uncheck anything that starts with Ads or Analytics, you also want to uncheck anything that starts with com.Google.android.location.reporting as well.
Doing all of this has completely stopped Play Services from draining the battery for me."

I am now getting close to 4 hours screen on time. Keeping my fingers crossed - will update this thread if there power consumption goes down. Do note that I already have whatsapp, facebook, truecaller, twitter running - so power consumption is a realistic indication.
Good guide. I think it might belong in General though, I'll ask for it to be moved for you.

What you're doing is setting the sensitivity to high, it's kinda like fooling the phone into thinking the ambient light is brighter than it actually is and therefore lowering the brightness of the backlight. Of course this is only relevant for auto-brightness. It's to combat the fact that this device over compensates for ambient brightness and unnecessarily raises the brightness of the backlight.

So on that note, its safe to say that having it on very high helps battery? Would it help in the aspects of making the phone brighter in let's say..daylight?
@marknoll - let me elaborate. What I meant was that the screen should be dimmer than default. And sensitivity is very high,so that the screen responds fairly quickly to changes in ambient light. I did NOT mean screen should be brighter than normal. The Evita screen consumes a LOT of power. My apologies if my language was a bit confusing. I'll correct it once I get to my laptop
@sandy. Dude. I'm not referring to u . I was asking in my behalf. Not yours
really glad you shared your method with us........ me too thought of mi3 but my attraction for evita is still enough to use though my only problem is battery life like you..... does your method works for sense roms as well.... il give it a try anyways though...

@paras33 - I suggest you dont try this method with sense ROMs. I'm not sure about the interplay of recovery 2.7.1.0 with sense roms. Especially the whole "internal_sd/sd0" vs "/sdcard" differences. I do recommend that you try the particular CM rom that I pointed to - you might really like it !
How to change settings for PurePerformanceX ?

I think you should go and ask this on the Evita sense rom thread (e.g. ViperXL). I'm not sure if TWRP 2.7.1 and PurePerformanceX are compatible with sense
I am unable to boot up with bubba. I always get stuck on the boot animation. No matter how long I wait it just stays there. I've tried with and without the voltage script.

Did you follow the exact steps that I have outlined? This means your phone was clean-wiped. You shouldn't have had this issue - can u confirm?
Yes. I wiped everything. I wiped several times just to make sure it was clean. O forgot to mention i am running candykat rom, which may be the issue. I asked in their q/a thread about bubba with no answer. I had tried bubba before this also and had same issue. I can run torched OK. When I have time I may try again with a full wipe but I need to back some things up first.

So I found the problem. I had been using art runtime. I switched back to dalvik and booted fine. Apparently it does not like art.

notification fix

OK guys I hope this hasn't already been covered but here goes anyway. I have found this fix for notifications not arriving when doze is enabled. Iff you go into the particular app e.g what's app then into data usage you must select the following settings see pic below. then all the notifications will arrive straight away regardless of doze state.

Yes that seems to be the problem. I had made a post months ago. It's very hidden feature by Lenovo and I think it's wrong to pre-restrict all background data. User should decide what to do.
I think they lenovo did it to block unnecessary data usage but i agree it is not needed and people are thinking their is something wrong with their phones.
Thanks for the tip
Thanks Sam, I saw this on the JJ review of Nougat. Is this for Nougat as my MM P2 settings don't look like the screenshot.

Hi yes it is for Nougat the comment posted on JJs review regarding this fix was posted by me also.
Confusing settings these as the first one makes it look like enabling the "Restrict background data" option will disable background data, when in fact it does the opposite. You need to have both of these options enabled so the sliders are green, then you need to open Settings > Power Manager > Battery Optimization
Then you need to search for the apps that you need to fix notifications and change the option so it says "Don't optimize". Then the phone won't 'helpfully' close the app when the phone has been unused for a long time. This is why notifications are stopping.
precisely i agree quite confusing it took me a while i had to get a friend to send me whats app messages continuously untill i figured all this out but im glad i finally did.
If you make the changes to fix the notifications, shut down and power the phone back on rather than do a reboot. The settings don't seem to work until the phone has properly rebooted.
Is it worth noting that elsewhere it's stated that turning off doze altogether (using ADB) might be a saner option? Consensus seems to indicate it's basically a curse with little value, and that would certainly hold water in light of the battery capacity of the P2.

Guys, to avoid having to run the ADB command after each reboot follow these instructions (please note, the files should be downloaded to a PC and then transferred to your phone via USB otherwise they mess up sometimes):
You need to enable USB debugging mode in Developer options first
Download and install this apk and transfer it to your phones storage - https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BxD...w?usp=drivesdk
Then connect phone to PC and allow the drivers to install
Download and install ADB here - https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B0M...ljU2NPR0k/view
Go into the ADB folder, hold shift, right click and select "Open command prompt here"
Type the command: adb devices (now hit enter)
It should return your phones serial number is connected correctly
Run this command in ADB: adb -d shell pm grant com.adamioan.scriptrunner android.permission.DUMP (now hit enter)
Download this file and transfer it to your phones storage - https://drive.google.com/open?id=0Bx...VA4YmxGTS1OX3c
Open the SH Script runner app and tap the three dots in the top right corner, select "Load" and locate the file from teh previous step
Click the Circle button with the play sign at the top of the screen
You should see the message "Idle mode disabled" which means that Doze has now been disabled.
Whenever you reboot your phone, open the SH Script runner and the command will still be there, just click the play button to run the script again.
And that is it, two clicks to disable Doze after each reboot.
Full credit to manototh for putting this together originally.
Doze does not need disabling iff you follow my advice in the initial post i have tried and tested this and can confirm it works fully.
This is really frustrating. No matter what settings I use I still don't get notifications after a while. I don't want to go modifying my phone, can someone post a step by step if they have it working properly?

Follow my ordinal post and also go into battery optimisation and disable optimization for things like sms eggs what's app Facebook etc all the things you need notifications for should be disabled from sleep mode under battery optimization.

Yes thats exactly how I've done it. I've also tried every combination of settings under Apps for Unrestricted data usage.
And also the setting here

Yep doesn't work either.
Perhaps your only option left is to try the disable doze app which has worked for many people but it's a paid app.
Just to update it does seem to be working properly now. I'm not 100% sure but I think turning the phone all the way off and on again instead of rebooting with the settings correct had the desired effect.
