OS Builder Kitchen for Tornado: WM6, WM6.1 and WM6.5 English + German - HTC Tornado

Finally with the help of Gregory's old Tornado kitchen I could identify the culprit which made the WM6.1 and especially WM6.5 Tornado Builds unstable. So find here the final result of the Tornado Kitchen evolution:
http://www.mediafire.com/?702i46jc477ey <-- Click Me!
The files there and their purpose:
all kitchen (WM6, WM6.1 and WM6.5) with ~93MB: tobbbie-OSB-Kitchen-Tornado-WM6,WM61,WM65-(Ger+Eng).7z
Note that is just 1.5-times the size of just one kitchen and you get 3 in a box
WM6.1 Kitchen (my favorite) with ~59MB: tobbbie-OSB-Kitchen-Tornado-WM61-(Ger+Eng).7z
All example builds are created with this one, names of the builds are like the configuration files, re-cooking is a snap here!
4 ready made builds (nk.nbf) to flash in 2 flavors each (Ger/Eng and Eng/Ger) with ~135MB (content of ~247MB): tobbbie-WM61-builds(nk.nbf).7z
Just the same 8 builds, but as os.nb0 files (so not Tornado encrypted) which makes them much better compressible. You get the same 247 MB of builds with just one file of ~39MB: tobbbie-WM61-builds(OS.nb0).7z
The tools you need to make your Tornado get that new stuff loaded. 2 Directories with the needed tools, just follow the obvious sequence. This includes nb2nbf_tornado.exe to convert os.nb0 to nk.nbf, of course.: tobbbie-Tornado-Flash-Tools.7z
Before I elaborate much on the details (and nobody would ever care), just pick what you need and get going. For questions, just come back here.
On the content:
The OEM parts are identical on WM61 and WM65 and the selected packages will auto-insert their relevant settings CPL via registry. This does not work on WM6 and there you have to take care yourself. 90% stem from the history of the Nitrogen Kitchen (which is built on others' contribution). Over time some panels were re-arranged and options added.
The SYS are for WM6 the original from Nitro's kitchen, the WM61 comes from the Rose (S740) and the WM65 from the Captain (S521).
Here the listed history of my kitchen:
there was the Nitrogen WM6 Kitchen - the first for me, as I was a late starter, only picking up cooking because wanted to get SDHC support in my beloved Candy-bar phone. Long time happy with that until there came the OS Builder framework which has really opened up so many new doors...
I ported that batch kitchen to the Hurricane with WM6 but left it there (still nagging me to get that ported to OSB, we will see...)
Then I picked up porting Aleut's WM6.5 kitchen for the Typhoon to Ger/Eng and finally also to OSB (with some special care on non-relocatable modules).
Finally I publish here the end of the story for Tornado including all builds and each of them tweaked to the limit (smallest XIP) but still portable and reversible from the dump. Play with it if you like!
Thanks go to:
cotulla and llnhhy for the SDHC on Tornado (I would not have started all this cooking without THIS contribution!)
Nitrogenious for his WM6 kitchen
Gregory for
the "format BINFS <size>" before loading the nk.nbf - this distributes the flash between ROM size and later available device storage on a 1MB granularity (and only works on the Tornado afaik - not Typhoon and Hurricane for sure)
letting me dig into his last Tornado kitchen (Tornllnhhy_last.zip, unpublished) which allowed me to find out what makes the difference between a stable reboot and such that occasionally lose Bluetooth, Wifi or both - always having wifioff.exe hang the device. The WM6.1 and WM6.5 kitchen would have never been published without this:
Code:
; from gregory's WM65 rgu
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Services\BTHLINK]
"Prefix"="BTL"
"Dll"="bthlink.dll"
"Index"=dword:00000000
"Order"=dword:00000008
"Keep"=dword:00000001
"Context"=dword:00000000
"DisplayName"="bth"
"Description"="bth"
It seems that adding that dll to the service initialization part will rectify the boot sequence in the way that a stable reboot is achieved. I have a mortscript do the reboot and symptom collect and could supply proof that hundreds of reboot can happen in a row without ever loosing BT and/or WiFi. Before that tweak the range of failure was 30-50%!
barin for OS Builder
ultrashot for parts of OS Builder and continued support for my questions in the context of understanding some more about the virtual memory concept and the paging pool.
The gained insight has made me drop UPX from the builds and be generous with granting paging pool size. There is no gain in hunting for free RAM on expense of the paging pool! Reserve ~25-30% of available RAM to the paging pool, but not less than ~4MB. More than 12MB on smartphone is no gain, so my builds have 8MB. You can alter this (without re-cooking) using the "Smart PagePool changer" which is part of each kitchen set.
many others at xda-developers that make this such an informative place to be
I know I have to add links to some references - this will come later.
Candy-bar smartphones for ever!

Just to let you know: The SDHC lets the device also read FAT32 formatted SDXC cards (e.g.64 GB). It even reads more than one partition (I have 2 on my Android) and mounts both of them (32k Cluster size used).
Not sure how well the performance will be when managing data there - but reading a large music collection should be ok

Crossbow Reloaded
A Faria ROM Kitchen Production by mfrazzz
I've been cooking my "perfect" rom with the Faria ROM Kitchen V2. I keep seeing people asking for a newer WM6 ROM that isn't "Vanilla" but comes with apps pre-installed (sort of like "the real thing" or Faria's AKU 3.3), so I've decided to release the ROM I'm now running on my phone. While this is not a fully loaded rom, it does come with stuff that I find useful. This ROM is a product of what _I_ wanted, so no complaints about why does this rom have this in it, or why didn't you put this in there. If you don't like how this rom is spiced, then go grab the Faria ROM Kitchen and make your own version (thats pretty much all this is).
Please Note: this ROM was NOT intended to push the limits on speed optimization or memory optimization. It was made to be functional and something that I myself wanted and will use. I've been running this ROM for over 24 hours, and on my phone with BatteryStatus overclocking it to 260Mhz, CpuScaler set to a min of 143MHz and a boost of 273MHz, I've found it to perform at a better than acceptable level for myself, and so far Battery life seems just as good as any other WM6 ROM I've tried.
What's In this ROM
This is straight out of the Faria ROM Kitchen so its a "fixed" version of "the real thing" that I've added packages too, and changed slightly.
ROM Version: 2.18.0.0 WWE
ROM Date: 02/14/06
Protocol: 4.1.13.09
ExtROM version: Faria V5.0
There is no Radio, IPL, SPL or Extended ROM.
Since this comes from the Faria ROM Kitchen it has the following:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=1226318&postcount=4
I've added the following to this rom:
Voice Command 1.6 (US)
VoIP included, follow http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=299950 to make it work
Adobe Reader LE
Notepad editor
Pocket RAR
HTC Zip
HTC X-Button
PIM Backup
Total Commander
GSFinder
MoDaCo NoData (so you can turn off data sources)
mUn Keyboard Skin
WM5torage 1.73
PHM Registry Editor
dotFred TaskManager (with registry editor link)
BatteryStatus 1.04.202 Beta 3 Build 0195 (latest version at time of build)
Smartskey 0.56 (DPAD is set to 0 in the .ini so the up and down scrolling works in the Phone dialer as expected in WM6)
10 Button CommManager with Black theme
New welcomehead.96.png (3rd splash screen) to match first two splash screens
Requirements
You MUST have an IPL and SPL at 2.xx or higher (BOTH not just one or the other).
You MUST be running ActiveSync 4.5 on Windows XP (Vista comes with the correct sync utility, although there have been issues reported about Vista and sync'ing with PPC's so be aware of that).
Before you attempt to upgrade to this ROM, Please follow this thread to learn how to flash roms and CID unlock, and how to fix issues you may run into! It is also recommended that you flash your phone with a Windows XP computer and not Vista. It will work with Vista, but if you run into problems Vista can't talk to a phone in Bootloader mode!
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=298613
Recomendations
Use BatteryStatus (its included in the rom!) to overclock (I use 260MHz), and the CPUscaler settings in BatteryStatus to set a min of 143MHz and a Boost of 273MHz
For Cingular users, I recommend you use the T-Mobile 2.19 UK Radio. Newer Radio versions tend to have missed calls and SMS messages (just like with all other WM6 ROMs)
Known Issues
After installing, you will need to modify Regional Settings as it defaults to English (UK), and Date Format will need to be adjusted to your liking (same behavior as the Faria Vanilla from the ROM Kitchen)
After initial install, I've found it best to configure BatteryStatus for overclocking, then perform a soft reset.

Crossbow Reloaded v1.5 has been released!
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=306820
.
I would like to thank the following in help (directly and indirectly) with Crossbow Reloaded:
Faria for providing both the base rom and the ROM Kitchen that I used to "cook" this ROM.
Funman for his fantastic PDF document on using the ROM Kitchen and for answering questions and fixing bugs in packages I hastily put together
ADB100 for finding and fixing some bugs in packages I worked on
Molski for having a nice tutorial on various cooking tools and providing easy access to info at http://www.molski.biz
Many others here that provided information, tips, and suggestions that I used when putting this together
While I'm releasing this, I fully realize this is really just a repackaging of the Faria Vanilla ROM that is included in Faria's ROM Kitchen. Other than a couple of slight modifications, I don't take credit for a full "cooking". This is more like taking a pre-packaged dinner, and adding the spices and herbs that I wanted for my taste buds. Believe me, this was not that hard to do, and I did not spend the countless hours that full blown chefs spend in providing amazing base roms. So a HUGE thanks goes to the REAL chefs that support our community!
This post will be where I place extra files to add to / enhance / fix this ROM
Attached is the cab file for Cingular users to setup GPRS and MMS.
For T-Mobile US users, here's a link to a post by FZZF that has info for your setup of GPRS and MMS:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=1250747&postcount=408
For those having issues connecting to the internet via Active Sync, cut and paste this code onto your PC in a file called net_over_activesync.reg and run it (on your PC not your phone)
Code:
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows CE Services]
"AllowLSP"=dword:00000000
For G4 users, I've attached a zip file with the Splash Screens of this rom (since you don't get them when you use the shell tool). As I understand it, this is completely safe for a G4 as its nothing but splash screens (no OS, IPL, SPL, Extended ROM, etc, just splash and htc logo screens). I've also placed the .bmp files that make up the splash screen in the zip file so you can see them directly before flashing this. Before anyone asks, yes, the htc logo one is grainy. I had to do that due to size limitations of the file. I tried for a couple of hours to get a nicer version to work but it wouldn't display correctly (seems to have to be pretty low res / non-complex)
.
One more post to reserve space for future needs...
woot! sounds great, downloading now
u guys r gonna turn me into even more of a flashing junkie than I was before!
just wanna say thanks to ALL ROM cookers and anyone else that helped, keep up the great work!
Looks like a good ROM put together with essential programs. Thanks
Nice..
I'm glad you got it done
Its good to have a "fully loaded", stable, WM6 out there. And you've likely saved lots of people lots of time and frustration by pre-cooking it for them. Especially first time upgraders, or those coming from faria's 3.3 rom.
Best wishes,
Just what I have been looking for.
I shall give it a whirl tonight.
Thanks
Can any1 mirror this ROM....I can't use rapidshare...
Ahh lets try this rom thnx

Thank you mfrazzz. Sounds like a good ROM, downloading now!.
rom
nice work mate
is this the wm6 faria version with the extra OEM packages from the other thread ?
as i installed them i encountered an error with NoData, an unexpected...
this could be coz i dont have a data connection yet..
it also wouldnt connect anymore to my activesync 4.5.. solved this by
reinstalling the wizard-driver in my pc.
i was wondering if i need anything else added if i wish to add some cab files
for preinstalling my apps..
maybe we can setup some coorperation to make the perfect rom for all of us.
with the help of faria's romkitchen v2 it be the best solution there is..
there is need for graphics, for OEM packages, extended roms and testing
since i read a lot and flashed about 35 phones now i can probably be of use

Nice work, this is almost the same as I end up customizing mine to once I flash..I just add Today'sAgenda and do some tweaks to move mail and attachments to SD and away I go.
I think I will give this a try.

This is the base rom provided by Faria in his ROM Kitchen V2. Only changes I made directly to the ROM was in putting in the 10 Button CommManager, and the 3rd splash screen. Beyond that its that straight base rom, and then the packages I released (and a couple I didn't release) in the Share the packages thread. NoData works fine for me, but if you don't have any data sources setup then yeah, it may crash (never tried that).

This isn't a base rom, If you want to preinstall your own apps, you would need to cook your own version of this rom (or post the packages and I'll consider them for a new release that might come out.
Yeah the Share the Packages thread was aimed at just that, to allow people to share rom kitchen packages so we can all easily build what we see as the perfect rom. Unfortunately, I've been the only one releasing anything in that thread.
Speaking of graphics, I just realized I left out all of the themes I was going to put into this rom. Ah well... I guess a reason for another version of this.

Thanks... This is the base I tend to immediately put on all of my roms after I flash to a new version, so I decided to just get it all inside a rom, and the Faria Vanilla was working VERY well for me.
I personally don't use TodayAgenda (I've had issues with it in the past, and I have a paid copy of PocketBreeze that I use instead). I really wanted to get WeatherPanel in here, but finally decided against it. Instead I'll post an updated cab for it (fixes the Moon phase through 2008) and a copy of the files for the Chemeleon-240-QVGA theme, and WeatherPilot (so you can do one handed navigation of WeatherPanel).
@Mfrazz, Thanks for kicking this out to the masses, I'm running Faria beta Vanilla and haven't found the time to master the RK and cook my own. I appreciate you taking the time to make the kitchen easier for the not so technical and for sharing your ROM. Looking forward to future version and the weather panel cab with skins and all...that progy looks cool.

Crossbow Reloaded v1.5 - Released and Ready!

For my 1,000th post to XDA-Developers.com, I present to you:
Crossbow Reloaded v1.5
A Faria ROM Kitchen Production by mfrazzz
This version fixes issues that were found with the first release of Crossbow Reloaded, and adds new features. Just like with the first release, please remember that this ROM is a product of what _I_ wanted, so no complaints about why does this rom have this in it, or why didn't you put this in there. If you don't like how this rom is spiced, then go grab the Faria ROM Kitchen and make your own version. I am open to ideas on how to improve the rom (most of the changes in this version are direct results of ideas and comments posted in the original release thread).
Please Note: this ROM was NOT intended to push the limits on speed optimization or memory optimization. It was made to be functional and something that I myself wanted and will use. I've found it to perform at a better than acceptable level for myself, and so far Battery life seems just as good as any other WM6 ROM I've tried. If you have Battery Life issues, make sure you flashed back to an official rom before you upgraded to this one, as that will correct extended rom corruption that has been shown to cause battery draining. Also note that I've been running this version for about 24 hours and have not even used overclocking and found it to perform very nicely (so Overclocking should work very nicely).
What's Different in V1.5 from V1.0?
Removed Transcriber (actually this wasn't in v1.0 but I just want to make it clear its not here either) (Can be added back via CAB)
Removed VoIP (can be added back via CAB)
Removed Voice Command (Can be added back via CAB)
Removed HTC Zip (Pocket RAR does zip and works better IMO)
Removed PHM Registry Editor
Added SQLCE
SIM Manager upgraded to v6.1
HTC X-Button upgraded to v1.5 and now turned on by default
Added WM5NewMenu
Added SMSDRFix
Added DotFred's SoftKeyAppletEx
Added WiFiFoFum
Replaced Adobe Reader LE with PocketXpdf (smaller, lighter, and works as well in my tests. If you really want Adobe Reader LE it can be added back via CAB file)
Fixed Regional Settings to default to English (United States) and use a slash for the date seperator (M/dd/yyyy)
Menu sounds now work by default
Pressing the "End Call" button now does not disconnect GPRS but minimized the active application. Pressing and holding the "End Call" button for about 5 seconds will do a GPRS Disconnect
Internet access over ActiveSync (USB) connection works (You must apply a registry fix on your PC first. See the next post for the fix)
Added 3 themes (.tsk) and 3 Ringtones from what was in the 1.0 release
Base ROM Information
This is straight out of the Faria ROM Kitchen V2 so its a "fixed" version of Faria's "the real thing" release that was then made vanilla and that I've added packages back into, and changed/fixed/enhanced.
ROM Version: 2.18.0.0 WWE
ROM Date: 02/14/06
Protocol: 4.1.13.09
ExtROM version: Faria V5.0
There is no Radio, IPL, SPL or Extended ROM.
In addition to the changes mentioned above for what is different, here is a list of the other added apps that were also in the 1.0 release:
Notepad editor
Pocket RAR
HTC X-Button (turned on by default)
PIM Backup
Total Commander
GSFinder
MoDaCo NoData (so you can turn off data sources)
mUn Keyboard Skin
WM5torage 1.73
dotFred TaskManager (with registry editor link)
BatteryStatus 1.04.202 Beta 3 Build 0195 (There are newer versions out now, but I had issues with battery drain and other problems so kept the same version as in the original release as it seemed to work well)
Smartskey 0.56 (DPAD is set to 0 in the .ini so the up and down scrolling works in the Phone dialer as expected in WM6)
10 Button CommManager with Black theme
New welcomehead.96.png (3rd splash screen) to match first two splash screens of the rom
Requirements
You MUST have an IPL and SPL at 2.xx or higher (BOTH not just one or the other).
You MUST be running ActiveSync 4.5 on Windows XP (Vista comes with the correct sync utility, although there have been issues reported about Vista and sync'ing with PPC's so be aware of that).

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=298613
Recomendations
I HIGHLY Recommend that you flash back to an official rom before upgrading to this (or any) custom rom so you have a clean base (and correct any Extended ROM corruption you might have). G4 users would flash back to their provider's latest official release. G3 can use T-Mobile 2.26 for a good base.
Use BatteryStatus (its included in the rom!) to overclock (I use 260MHz), and the CPUscaler settings in BatteryStatus to set a min of 143MHz and a Boost of 273MHz.
For Cingular users, I recommend you use the T-Mobile 2.19 UK Radio. Newer Radio versions tend to have missed calls and SMS messages (just like with all other WM6 ROMs). G4 users, see the next post on flashing the Splash screens for a tip if you get errors trying to flash the 2.19 Radio ROM.

If you have problems flashing the above RUU on a G4, then extract this http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=29158&d=1152698784 and pull the nk.nbf file out of the above Splash Screen file and put it into the directory of this one and run this RUU. You can use the same method for flashing the Radio Only ROM (pull the nk.nbf file out of the radio only rom and put it into the directory of this RUU and run it). Thanks anichillus for that link!
Weather Panel Setup
See my post in the Wizard forum on how I setup WeatherPanel. It will give you a fixed dll with correct moon phases through 2008, new/better Moon phase icons, and a cool theme called Chameleon-240 QVGA. I dumped SBSH Pocket Weather after seeing this setup

RIght on Right on!
Holy [email protected]! I just loaded the older version now this...LOL. I guess I'm gonna have to reflash again.
<Another one of your admirers>
Flashing this ROM doesn't work with Vista while T-Mobile's Original ROM just works fine..... It gives an MFC error, neither yours nor Core 2.0 works with Vista...am I missing something?
hooray...?
i just got the last version all customified, now i gotta flash the new one!!
keep up the great work!
All installed nicely. This ROM appears very quick and comprehensive enough for me. Thank you mfrazz.
I had to be quick to stop all the T-mobile extended rom installing, after following your advice and sticking a stock ROM on 1st. Funny thing is though ExtROM is listed as faria V5.0 but it definately contains stock T-mobile cabs etc.
Thanks once again
MMS included?
Hey mfrazzz - did you include all of the Cingular network settings? Figured I'd ask ya, since you were going for a "complete" rom.

I didn't check before I installed the Cingular CAB, but I don't think so - it may not make T-Mobile users very happy!

Nope, its service provider generic. I just updated the 2nd post with lots of add ons (Cingular and T-Mo US settings have info there).
BTW: Unless there is some huge issue, I think this will be it for Crossbow Reloaded, until the new Faria ROM Kitchen V3 comes out. This one has felt really solid to me (at least for what I use my phone for. I'm sure others out there will find stuff I missed in areas I don't touch ).

Sorry, I don't have Vista and have no experience with it. There are threads around here where people have discussed issues (and fixes) for installing roms via Vista.

Yeah, pretty much the same with me. Just had the V1.0 version really humming and started work on putting together all of the fixes and changes I wanted to do to make this one. I've flashed more in the last 3 or 4 days than I think I've flashed since getting addicted in January.

I had to be quick to stop all the T-mobile extended rom installing, after following your advice and sticking a stock ROM on 1st. Funny thing is though ExtROM is listed as faria V5.0 but it definately contains stock T-mobile cabs etc.

Yeah, I abort the T-Mo extended rom running too (and you do have to be quick). Yeah, the Faria "Extended ROM' is really in the \Windows area (as I understand it) and not really a true extended rom (at least when I cook this I'm not putting anything in the extended rom). So yes, its expected you will see the official rom's cab files still sitting happily in the Extended ROM.
Great rom.
Awesome mrfrazzz....just awesome!! Keep up the great work, Crossbow Reloaded works great for my needs.
Thank you so much!
Thanks guys. Hoping someone can do a review of this rom for me after they've played with it for a bit. I'm seeing lots of downloads for it on rapidshare (and trying to get some alternative download sites for it going). I'd just like to get some feedback on it.
I have to say I'm really happy with how this one turned out. So far its been nice, quick, and stable and I still haven't overclocked my phone yet as it seems to perform nicely at the default 195MHz for me (I'll look at overclocking it again, but just haven't felt the need yet).
I hop this release will fix my odd problem i had with first release.
after my battery was completely empty i charged it, phone worked, after few minuts it just jammed and i needed to do a hardreset.
Anyway thnx for this 1 and ill post 2 HTTP mirrors when i have some time to upload them, think somewhere in the morning.
My first ROM
Thanks so much mfrazz and everyone, this was my first ROM for my Dopod 838 and I've had this thing for a year now. Never bothered to play around with it and was never really happy about its functionality until now... its ridiculous how much better it is compared to the manufacturer ROM.
Just so many lil things are better. Working great for me. Thanks a bunch!

mfrazzz:
Kudos to you for the hard work in prepping this ROM. I've always appreciated (and been a fan of) your patience and professionalism! Now you have taken the plunge into cooking. Congrats!
I am currently using Faria's RT and am seriously considering your Reloaded version as permanent replacement, but I have three issues that I am wondering if this ROM version addresses. These seem to affect all WM6 Roms for the Wizard and I'm curious to know if this ROM corrects them.
1. GPRS data connection fails to re-connect when recovering from a low-signal situation.
2. Device does not vibrate upon receipt of a new email message when it is in sleep mode and the ringer is set to vibrate.
3. Meeting requests sent via the device's invite attendees function do not display the correct date in the recipient's Outlook. They show only the date of creation/modification and not the actual date when the event is to occur.
On another note, have you found a way to send contacts and calendar items via email as opposed to MMS or SMS? I know about the workaround that involves initiating a send via MMS, aborting, and then sending the created file manually via email. Is this still the only way?
Any information is greatly appreciated.
Awsome release I just wish it was more vanilla..this is the closest I can get to a GOOD rom with out all the extra apps. thanks again
Thanks!! looks like some good work cant wait to try it out!!!...as soon as I replace the power supply in my box....lol
3rd Party Apps?
I'm seriously considering this a my next flashing project (I run many 3rd party apps and it's always a pain to switch ROMs).
I remember when people were first releasing WM6 Wizard ROMs there was a lot of discussion about 3rd party apps not working. Is it still only a small subset of apps that work or can I expect most applications to now work fine?

XDA Mobile 6 (XM6) - Taking You to the Limit

XDA Mobile 6
Taking You to the Limit
XDA Mobile 6 (XM6 for short) is basically Crossbow Reloaded 1.7 rebuilt on the OS 5.2.318 Build 15342.4.0.01 rom that was provided to is by InGeNeTiCs from Howard Forums. You can read information on the work being done on this rom in various ways in this thread. Since the Crossbow Reloaded series was based on the Faria Vanilla Crossbow rom in his ROM Kitchen, and this rom is based on a different rom, I felt a new name was in order.
Please remember that this ROM is a product of what _I_ wanted with many inputs from users of the Crossbow Reloaded series, so no complaints about why does this rom have this in it, or why didn't you put this in there. If you don't like how this rom is spiced, then go grab a ROM, put it in one of the many Kitchens now out, and make your own version. I am open to ideas on how to improve the rom so constructive criticism is appreciated (to a point ).
Please Note: this ROM was NOT intended to push the limits on speed optimization or memory optimization (although it is significantly better than the Crossbow Reloaded series IMO due to the base rom it came from). It was made to be functional, stable, and something that I myself wanted and will use. I've found it to perform at a better than acceptable level for myself, and so far Battery life seems better than other WM6 ROMs I've tried. If you have Battery Drain issues, make sure you flashed back to an official rom before you upgraded to this one, as that should correct extended rom corruption that has been shown to cause battery draining. BatteryStatus is NOT included in this ROM, as I don't see overclocking as necessary. If you want to overclock, you are welcome to download and install BatteryStatus yourself.
Base ROM Information
The base rom was an "Official" Wizard WM6 ROM that was part of the development cycle of WM6 inside of Microsoft (Dogfood as they call it). The base rom was not a port of another device rom with drivers and stuff pieced and parted onto this one, but this was an actual Wizard WM6.
Windows Mobile 6, OS 5.2.318 Build 15342.4.0.01
ROM Version: 10.1.0.811 WWE
ROM Date: 08/11/06

ExtROM version: Faria V5.0
There is no Radio, IPL, SPL or Extended ROM.

Pressing the "End Call" button does not disconnect GPRS but minimized the active application. Pressing and holding the "End Call" button for about 5 seconds will do a GPRS Disconnect
Internet access over ActiveSync (USB) connection works (You must apply a registry fix on your PC first. See the next post for the fix)

Recomendations
I HIGHLY Recommend that you flash back to an official rom before upgrading to this (or any) custom rom so you have a clean base (and correct any Extended ROM corruption you might have). G4 users would flash back to their provider's latest official release. G3 users can use T-Mobile 2.26 for a good base.
If you use BatteryStatus (its NOT included in the rom!) to overclock, I don't recommend overclocking above 260Mhz, and the CPUscaler settings in BatteryStatus should not be set to a min lower than 143MHz (or your device may not wake back up after going to sleep). Personally, I have not tried to overclock this rom due to the performance it already has.
I STRONGLY recommend you use the T-Mobile 2.19 UK Radio (this is a must for Cingular/AT&T customers). Newer Radio versions tend to have missed calls and SMS messages (just like with all other WM6 ROMs). G4 users, see the next post on flashing the Splash screens for a tip if you get errors trying to flash the 2.19 Radio ROM.
UPDATE: There appears to be a possible fix for the Radio issue on Cingular. Attached is a cab you can run to implement the change. I've successfully run Cingular 2.25 radio on my phone for 36 hours now with no missed calls or SMS messages. Others have had success with 2.61 radio after doing this fix. You can follow this thread (starting around post 9) on this.

I would like to thank the following in help (directly and indirectly) with XDA Mobile 6:
Faria for providing the initial ROM Kitchen that got me cooking
anichillus for the fantastic Core ROM Kitchen which was exclusively used in the production of this ROM
Dr Puttingham for the guides, information and giving me a pointer to the cool 8 Button CommManager in this rom
Molski for having a nice tutorial on various cooking tools and providing easy access to info at http://www.molski.biz
mattk_r for inspiration and pushing the envelope on compressing stuff
edhaas for the rompacker kitchen and squeezing tool ported over to the Wizard forum
Those that took the time to help beta/alpha test the early version of this base rom
InGeNeTiCs for taking the time to dump the rom Microsoft put on his phone so we could have this base rom
Everyone that installed and gave feedback and support on the Crossbow Reloaded versions
Many others here at XDA-Developers.com that provided information, tips, and suggestions that I used when putting this together
A HUGE thanks goes to all the chefs that support our community!
Known Issues
For those using ShellTool to flash this rom, Its been reported that shell too does not show that the flashing process has completed for some. Give the flash a good 15 - 30 minutes to make sure its done before you pull the plug. Those that have done this report that the phone boots fine into XM6.
The new CommManager has a bug where when you press the settings (right softkey) in it, it only shows one item: Wi-Fi Settings, and when you click on it you go to Bluetooth settings. The fixed version of this can be installed with the cab attached to this post. Soft reset the phone, install the cab, and it will soft reset after it completes, and you will have the fixed CommManager (no install of the 10 Button CommManager is required now). Updates to the 8 button CommManager can be followed in this thread.
The link for Midlet Manager is missing (but Midlet Manager is in the rom). To fix this use TotalCommander to create a shortcut in \Windows\Programs that points to \Windows\jmm.exe . Or the other option is to install a newer version of Midlet manager from This Thread.

How to not have a 24hour Clock (or how to show AM/PM)
This works on all WM6 roms
Go to Start > Settings > System > Regional Settings
Make sure you have the correct Region selected
Click on the Time tab
Click on the drop down box for Time Style
Notice the little up and down arrows? This is a scrolling region in this dropdown. Click the up arrow a couple of times and you'll find h:mm:ss tt
Thats it. Microsoft is amazing at having a 2 line scrolling region on this dropdown. You'd think they would have had at least 3 or 4 lines show up for chosing (and it would be more obvious that its a scrolling region then too).

Connecting WM6 to the Internet via ActiveSync 4.5 on Windows XP
For those having issues connecting to the internet via Active Sync, cut and paste this code onto your PC in a file called net_over_activesync.reg and run it (on your PC not your phone)
Code:

Splash Screens and Splash Only RUU for G4
Hermes Black Cabs that may be of Interest
XM6 has Transcriber, VoIP, and Windows Live all integrated in it, but I wanted to point out the Black 3 Add-on CABs file as there are others in it that may be of interest. Included in this file is Cyberon VoiceCommander, Cyberon Voice Dial, VIjay555 utils, and a Slingbox patch (none of these I've tested) and Adobe Reader LE.
10 Button Black CommManager
Some seem to think 10 buttons are better than 8, and some just like the look of the 10 button CommManager over the 8 button one in this rom. So attached to this post is a zip file with the 10 Button Black CommManager. You shouldn't have to use the cert cab file, just run the CommManager one.
Turning off Word Selection
Some people do not like how Windows Mobile tries to suggest words that you may be typing. If you are one of those people, jacob-mda wrote up a post on how to turn it off. Check out This Thread.
New DialPad to match the CommManager
The EquinoXe was successful at pulling out the dial pad from the HTC Touch and it matches up with the CommManager in XM6 very nicely (see pic attached below). I've attached the CAB to this thread, so if you'd like to use this dialpad, just download and install. Cool!
More info to come, so check back here periodically!

MobileJustice v0.8
MobileJustice is an Anti-theft app that you can configure on your phone. Just go to Start > Programs > Accessories and click on the MJConfig icon (first time in you will get a message that there isn't a config file, just click ok and it will be created). To us this, check the Enabled box, then click Add on the Allowed line. You can then setup your SIM card as an authorized one, and add other SIM cards IMSI numbers if you use more than one. Next click on Add next to Report to: and setup an SMS number (wife, friend, colleague) where you want the text message to go to if an unauthorized SIM is put into your phone. You can add multiple SMS numbers if you want. At this point, your phone will now be setup so that if an unauthorized sim is put in it, then it will send an SMS (with no record of it being sent) to your Report To list on the next boot (you can test this by not setting up (or removing) the Allowed and then doing a soft reset).
For more advanced, you can turn on the Disp MsgBox at the top and then put in some text in the MsgBox text line. This will pop up a Message box on the screen of the phone after a boot, if an unknown sim is in the phone.
You can also enable RMon (bottom half of the screen), put in a pass phrase, and then turn on MsgBox (GPS and LocCall do not work on Wizards, and the other options haven't been implemented in this version). By doing this, you can now send an SMS to your phone in the following format:
+m passphrase message
Rmon will intercept the sms message (so it will not show up as a received message), and if the passphrase matches the one you put in the configuration, then it will pop up a message box on the phone with your message in it (so you can secretly send messages to the thief to possibly intimediate them (or whatever).

Thnx mfrazz!
Mirror commin soon
Works fine for now, only i missed battery status
Maybe an idea to put it back in? If it isnt needed for Overclock purposes its still handy for batteryStatus, Signalstrenght, Free mem etc
Think about it
Ohw i love the new com manager (L)
mfrazzz, you working late again, you must have been up all night.
Wow this looks like another great package, thanks for all your hard work and dedication.
Can you make a www.putstuff.com mirror?
It seems that i will flash it today... I am currently with faria's new rom, and i am loving it, but i must test XM6
WOOHOO!
Holy crap you guys rock!!
Ever since the thread of the possible new base ROM started, I've been backing up my stuff on an hourly basis waiting for the chance to wipe my 8125 G3.....
Now I know I'll be in 7th heaven in a little while....
Thank you so much for so much hard work..... so much for me getting anything done at work today!! LOL
Yo mfrazzz, you've really astonished me on how fast you made your new rom coming out. Really cool. And i'm interested in the cabs.
looks great!
can you provide info about free program and storage mem.?
hey
you did say not to say 'put this in, take this out' but figured its worth a shot...
could you provide a cab to change the keyboard style back to the stock black and white one?!
thanx
Yo mfrazzz,
As always, got you a 100Mbit Mirror again.
Good ol mFrazzz...now that's what I've been waiting for, the real deal. Thanks once more for all the effort and hardwork.
Thanks guys for the mirror! I'll be flashing real soon and updating as we go along.
2.25 Radio
I am using the orig. Official WM6 from Ingenetics and have no probs with radio.
Why can't / shouldn't your rom be used with 2.25 radio?
Is it a reg tweak, a program, or something else causing the problem?

Radios other than 2.19.11 are known to cause dialpad issues during calls in WM6.
ex.: If you try to check your voicemail, the keypad won't send tones to erase message. Soft re-set required to continue.
Others have had success with other radios but for the ones who didn't, radio 2.19.11 was the fix. There are write-ups about it all thru the site.
Thanks for the ROM. Installed it and running fine!
TheWizzard2203; thanks for the mirror.
You're welcome. As long as i trust the rom baker i'll supply a mirror. And i know mfrazzz always cooks the roms just the way we like it.
@mfrazzz: Isn't it possible to make the CommManager the way you made it look now, but then with the 10 buttons in it? That would be really nice. I really like the way it looks in your new rom, more than the black one with 10 buttons, but the 10 button comm manager has more functionality.
This com manager is like HTC Touch commanager...

Crossbow Reloaded v1.7 - Smooth and Stable WM6 Computing for the Wizard

Crossbow Reloaded v1.7
Smooth and Stable WM6 Computing for the Wizard
The latest incarnation of the Crossbow Reloaded series is again based on the Faria WM6 ROM that was part of the Faria ROM Kitchen. I've continued to modify the base rom to adjust and update it and work out a few bugs / features, but its still the stable base that makes Crossbow Reloaded a dependable WM6 version for the Wizard devices. One of the major changes in the cooking process of this rom is the use of edhaas ROM Packer Kitchen. I highly recommend using the tools in this to gain extra room and to overall speed up how some things work.
Just like with the previous releases, please remember that this ROM is a product of what _I_ wanted with many inputs from users of 1.0 and 1.5, so no complaints about why does this rom have this in it, or why didn't you put this in there. If you don't like how this rom is spiced, then go grab the Faria ROM Kitchen and make your own version. I am open to ideas on how to improve the rom (most of the changes in this version are direct results of ideas and comments posted in the Crossbow Reloaded 1.5 thread).
Please Note: this ROM was NOT intended to push the limits on speed optimization or memory optimization. It was made to be functional, stable, and something that I myself wanted and will use. I've found it to perform at a better than acceptable level for myself, and so far Battery life seems just as good as any other WM6 ROM I've tried. If you have Battery Drain issues, make sure you flashed back to an official rom before you upgraded to this one, as that should correct extended rom corruption that has been shown to cause battery draining. Also note that I've been running this version for days and have not even used overclocking and found it to perform very nicely (so Overclocking should work very nicely if you feel the need).
What's Different in V1.7 from V1.5?
Removed Transcriber (actually this wasn't in v1.5 or v1.0, but I just want to make it clear its not here either) (Can be added back via CAB)
Added VoIP (See next post for instructions to set this up)
HTC X-Button downgraded to v1.0 (The new 1.5 version has issues with impacting changes on the Today screen) and now turned on by default
Removed PocketXpdf and added Adobe Reader LE back
Added Mobile Justice (a security app that will send an SMS if an unauthorized SIM is placed in your phone)
Added SIP Config 2.0.1
Added StartClean
Added Pocket Screen Capture
Added HTC Audio Manager
Added CicleBT (Toggle BlueTooth on and off)
Added SynchroTIme
Removed default Calculator and Added 1-Calc to replace it
Removed GSFinder (use Total Commander instead)
Upgraded Total Commander to Beta 2.5
Upgraded WiFiFoFum to 2.2.9
Upgraded PIM Backup to 1.9
Upgraded to Office 2007
Numerous fixes and tweaks. Also compression of some large app files that now actually make them start faster!
New first and second splash screens
Windows Live Search searches via Google
Base ROM Information
This is my modified version of Faria's WM6 found in the Faria ROM Kitchen V2, so its a "fixed" version of Faria's "the real thing" release that was then made vanilla and that I've added packages back into, and changed/fixed/enhanced.
ROM Version: 2.18.0.0 WWE
ROM Date: 02/14/06
Protocol: 4.1.13.09
ExtROM version: Faria V5.0
There is no Radio, IPL, SPL or Extended ROM.

PIM Backup
Total Commander
MoDaCo NoData (so you can turn off data sources)
mUn Keyboard Skin
WM5torage 1.73
dotFred TaskManager (with registry editor link)
BatteryStatus 1.04.202 Beta 3 Build 0195 (There are newer versions out now, but I had issues with battery drain and other problems so kept the same version as in the original release as it seemed to work the best for me)
Smartskey 0.56 (DPAD is set to 0 in the .ini so the up and down scrolling works in the Phone dialer as expected in WM6)
10 Button CommManager with Black theme
SQLCE
SIM Manager
WM5NewMenu
SMSDRFix
DotFred's SoftKeyAppletEx
DotFred's TaskManager (and registry editor)

Known Issues
After flashing, verify your phone keypad is there. If its not, you will need to try doing a "Clear Memory" or Hard Reset. If that doesn't work, then reflash the rom. I'm trying to find the cause of this now.
It has been found that this camera patch will help improve the camera app in lower light conditions.
Official Download Sites for Crossbow Reloaded v1.7
I'll update this list with mirrors as they become available
PLEASE READ THIS
There are known issues with this rom on SOME phones. The obvious issue is after flashing you will not have a phone keypad. Those using ShellTool are finding they have to flash their devices twice. Most missing the keypad can immediately reflash the rom a second time and then its fine. If you have issues, the look through the thread and see if its been reported already. I'm working on rebuilding this, but since its working for some people, I'm not pulling the links. Your decision to download and flash this rom is YOUR decision. If the rom causes you issues, you were warned and it was your decision. Don't PM me about issues.

Transcriber and more
The Black 3 Add-on CABs file has installable cabs for Transcriber, VoIP, Adobe Reader LE, and Windows Live & Messanger (slightly newer version than in Crossbow Reloaded v1.5). I've tested all of these on my Wizard and they work fine. Also included in this file is Cyberon VoiceCommander, Cyberon Voice Dial, VIjay555 utils, and a Slingbox patch (none of these I've tested). Since Adobe Reader and VoIP are in 1.7 you won't need those, but for those wanting Transcriber, just run the cab on your phone and you can scribble away on your screen

Splash Screens and Splash Only RUU for G4

See my post in the Wizard forum on how I setup WeatherPanel. It will give you a fixed dll with correct moon phases through 2008, new/better Moon phase icons, and a cool theme called Chameleon-240 QVGA. I dumped SBSH Pocket Weather after seeing this setup

Info on Included Apps
The project page for MobileJustice is located at: https://sourceforge.net/projects/mjustice/
Thanx will flash in a few hours

Could you give any info about available memory?
Hi and thank you! I've just flashed my QTek 9100 and everything is fine. Still can't activate VOIP from Comm manager even after configuring it with SIPConfig
But all other things are great!
Thank you again
Just flashed with the ROM. It looks nice so far. I haven't used Crossbow Reloaded before so I don't know the changes form earlier versions.

Just flashed it, awesome ROM! Good call on changing the BatteryStatus, I had major drain issues with the newest version, also.

All... I'm going back and forth on a couple of things. I put Office 2007 in the latest build I'm running. I'll probably keep it in, but its huge compared to Office 2003 (another 2meg larger it appears). I thought with the latest RomPacker kitchen I could get Office 2K7 and PocketXpdf back in, but that just won't happen. If I go back to Office 2003 then I can get PocketXpdf (or maybe even AdobeReaderLE) back in the rom. Comments?

I second the vote:
I know it's a lot of work building these ROMS but a Office 2003 version would be nice. Would it be hard to replace 2007 with 2003? You have the ROM built and I'm not talking about building a new one just making a change to the ROM you have.
The Vanilla Rom that Faria built was in part to reduce the amount of memory used.
Just my 2 cents, but thanks for listening.
Thanks for all your work from us that haven't ventured into the Kitchen.

Ugh! Thats what I get for putting this out so late last night... I took a bunch of screen captures, then realized I needed to change something so reflashed again and lost all of that. I can't flash to a clean rom at the moment to get new captures, but after the flash there was 28meg free Program memory.
I'll update the first post with captures in a few hours.
@farrusete - Yep, thats what I figured on VoIP. Sorry, but I just couldn't seem to get past that.
@Kage and Wizzzard - Thanks for the mirrors, but I won't put those in the first post as that post tends to be posted in other forums
@Eximius - I'll update your mirror in the first post shortly
@nfollmer - thanks, and yes, major issues for me with the newer BS versions (it would just disappear off the screen sometimes)
@Cing 8125 - I'll consider a Office 2003 release, but it isn't quite as easy as you think since I completely replaced it with 2007. Would have to have a seperate code line (with how I have it setup now).
@joaosousa - Are you saying you have VoiP working? If so, please let me know the details so I can update the 2nd post with info. Thanks!
Voip
Yes, i have VoIP working.
I have just installed the wm6voip.cab i have posted in my previous post and after a restart i configured the SIP service using the SIPConfig Tool.
The only problem is that the sound comes out from the side speakers and not from the "normal call" speaker. But this seams to be a problem that all wizard's rom's have.
In SIPConfig i used my VoipBuster account.
Service name: Voip
SIP Server: sip.voipbuster.com
UserName: my_voipbuster_user_name
Password: my_voipbuster_user_password
I will install later on this afternoon. I need something stable mine is always locking up on me and I lose messages.
Hows A2DP working on this one?

[25 June] WM6.1 (WWE) 19900 Video Call BETA NOW Available (G4/G3)

Latest Update (25 June 21:07 GMT8)
Now that Beasty is offering "official" help and expertise on the VC component, we can look forward to improve the VC even further. I understand that you may encounter odd bugs while using the VCs and this is to be expected. The intention is to gather inputs for a more stable release soon. Cheers.
25 June 2008 - MAJOR Update
Version: EF 2.40 WWE WM6.1 Build 19900.1.0.3 + VC Ready Components
Pagepool 6.5MB for 64MB Unis (G4/G3)
As per advised earlier, the rom now offers Video Call option which can be enabled if you wish to use Video Telephony. BUT please consider this as a beta Release (on the VC part) because, like Beasty and Laurentius before me, I only managed to get VC running up to 70-80% with so many other possibilities unexplored. In fact after many sleepless night and red eyes, I am running out of ideas on how to get the VC build up to 100% - and with regard to this, I am sharing the very same Kitchen that I use to cook the roms with all the contents to those interested in doing further development on the VC part. The Kitchen is based on ThingsOnASpring and all credits should go to him.
Background:
The VC components have been ported over from Dopod 900 official rom 1.30 release in WM5 flavor. Apparently, our Uni will not aknowledge the later versions of Video Telephony dlls and drivers which I took from the official Athena WM6 and Tytn. I have tried all combinations to no avail (with the later version VC dlls).
Only with proper arrangement of WM5 VC Dlls, Intellidial and Camera components will the VC work properly on our Unis.
So, the end result is a forced entry of WM5 dlls into WM6.1 build. And because of this it is expected to behave somewhat oddly on certain functions (more about this later)
So how does it work:
Download the rom here:
Version: EF 2.40 WWE WM6.1 Build 19900.1.0.3 + VC Ready Components
After the first boot, to enable VC, go to Programs and click on Enable Video Call icon which will run a cab installer automatically. YOU NEED A SOFT RESET to activate the changes
IMPORTANT:
- Making a VC will trigger self dial (dial onto itself), just click answer and the dialer will continue to make the VC. Once connection is establish, if the VC interface is not shown to you, click on "Call Status" and you should see the two windows of both caller and recepient
- Ending a call or unable to establish 3G VC due to signal or other issues, the screen will show "Connected:" but do not panic, this is a small display bug and does not mean that you are connected to 3G network unecessarily
- Should the dialer pads become sluggish after a while, a soft reset may be required. But this happens very rarely.
And finally, for those interested to cook your own custom rom based on this build, please download the kithen here:
http://www.mediafire.com/?lecmcgmmmz2
The kitchen is ready to cook EF 2.40 release.
Again, thank you for your support and hope you guys will have fun beta testing the VCs. It's not perfect but at the very least provide a glimmer of hope of what to come.
PS:
If you find my handiwork to be useful and feels like buying me a drink, please PM me for Paypal ID.
UPDATE:
Video Telephony has been successfully integrated into the build I am using now.
In the next 24 hours I will be testing it extensively to see if there's any bug or issues.
We all know that previous efforts by WM6 chefs was fraught with difficulties, I expect mine to be no different. But at least the indication has been good so far. We shall see how this will fare later.
On the other hand, I may remove the inclusion of Ext Rom as usable drive due to the issue of storing email attachments.
Hope to get some good results soon.
Latest Update:
A friend of mine is using Uni G4 and he has been able to flash this rom successfully
Important UPDATE:
I just found out that my Uni is ACTUALLY A G3!. So this Rom will definitely work on all G3. Silly me, I didn't read the Wiki thoroughly enough to differetiate a G3 and G4 LOL!
If you are keen on 19900 WM6.1 in Vanilla flavors, please read on. I have just recently micgrated from O2 Xda Flame to Dopod 900 (HTC Universal) and have ever since been looking for a "stock" looking WM6.1 WWE. The readily available Vanillas seems to suffer from "excessive parts removal" to make them light and have suffered from odd behaviours on my aged G3. Since I am not new to Rom Cooking (my previous work can be found at www.xdaflameusers.com), I decided to cook my own WWE and the one I am using now seems to be quite a performer.
This ROM is build on four separate instances:
ThingsOnASpring Kitchen ->
Tomal's 7.7 19900 nk.nbf decoded and extracted ->
OEM Components deconstructed and removal of extras ->
SYS Components revised and HTC Official Kaiser WM6.1 WWE was used as filler to restore missing components ->
Reg Mods all over for performance and stability ->
Additition of minor HTC OEM components & drivers ->
Mo3ulla 2.15 (19588) nk.nbf used as target donor host ->
ThingsOnASpring XIP as the base XIP donor ->
RESULT:
EF 2.22 WWE 19900.1.0.3 Vanilla for G3 Universal (G4 not tested because mine is on G4)
Main attributes:
- Very stock looking
- 7.5MB Pagepool for 64MB Unis and FF Pagepool for 128 Unis (need someone to test this)
- Upon first boot, 40.XXMB of Storage and 26.XXMB of Memory
- Extended ROM already unlocked and ready for use - renamed as 10MB_Store. Update: I am looking into preventing clashes of SD card and Extended ROM for mail attachments
- Includes native support for both normal SD and SDHCs, SD Settings has been removed in favor of static SDHC components which will read/write both normal SD and SDHC. This has been rigorously tested with my 8GB Sandisk MicroSDHC (with SD adapter) and Kingston 4GB SDHC Class4. Both performs flawlessly tested using Windows Media Player with over 1000 songs on high bitrate MP3s. Using the old SDHC drivers, pause gaps between songs was around 5-6 seconds but now the gap has been reduced to 3-4 seconds
- Includes HTC Network Wizard for easy 3G/GPRS setup
- Grayscale BG for CommManager with all Stock features restored
- Runs perfectly with Radio 1.18
- Exchange Push Mail fully tested on 3G/GRPS - worked flawlessly
- Excellent synergy with SPB Mobile Shell 2.0 and Pocket Plus 4
- .NET CF3.5 installed and confirmed running perfectly
- Games, Transcriber, Schap VOIP, OneNote & Windows Live etc removed
- Registry cleaned of excess traces
- No FDISK/RAMDISK included for stability sake
- Proven stability with 3G/GPRS always on & Activesync in background with Microsoft DirectPush. On top of that with SPB Shell, SPB Finance, Windows Live and Pocket Plus running back to back
Downloads:
EF 2.22 19900.1.0.3 64MB Unis (Pagepool 7.5MB)
EF 2.22 19900.1.0.3 128MB Unis (Pagepool FF)
Note:
Before you flash, it's a good idea to blank out your Extended ROM to avoid complications. Default HTC Autoinstall from extended rom has been known to cause system freeze on first boot
If you are new to flashing, I highly recommend reading the Universal Wiki - the Wikis has been a great help to me when I first started over 2 weeks ago
Credits:
Of course, this has been possible due to the the hard works of Tomal, Mo3ulla, ThingsOnASpring and many more before them. They deserve all the credits where applicable.
Disclaimer:
There's always risk with cooked roms flashing. Do this at your own discretion and do it only if you are absolutely certain of your intent
Thanks & enjoy!

Yes, the base roms used to construct this one has been known to support G3. I see no reason it should not work with a G3. BUT I have never tested this build on a G3 because I don't have one. Any takers?
Thanks
Wow, let me check this one out then i will tell you what will happen to my exec G3. Anyway, thanks a lot for a new cooking that makes me so curious.

DanT, thanks for the feedback. I may have made aq mistake here in this particular regard. You are right about attachments getting saved in Ext rom (10MB_Storage) instead of SD card. But no worries, I am in the process of working a fix on this. Stay tuned

If you renamed the extended ROM to anything whose first letter was alphabetically greater than capital S (from "Storage Card") wouldn't do?

Quick question
Does the ROM contain the RGUs?
If it does, this may be a better base for me to use with the Diamond addons, rather than Ranju's 19900 build...

The rgus are not included in the rom itself due to over 1.15MB size added if they are not deleted. But I can share the ones still in OEM & SYS of the kitchen I use. Anyway I am in the habit of modifying the output hv files (Default.hv & User.hv) directly just before cooking so the rgus may only reflect 80% of the actual mods done. If you extract this rom, just before you pkg them into SYS and OEM, grab the hv files and convert them into master rgus.

Yes I am thinking of testing this out. Thanks for the input
