I Need a better clip than the seido one. - T-Mobile LG G2x

Can someone tell me where I can get a similar clip for my phone that's made better?
I have the seido case and clip for my phone. I'm on the second clip that has broken. The plastic breaks where the medal bar goes through it.

I have a muffin top so every time I sit down in my car the clip pushes against me and I have a feeling that over time this breaks that plastic that the medal bar goes through. This last clip lasted me 5 months.

Custom Battery Door for Extended Battery

I really don't like the extended battery door that came with my ebay 3000 mah battery, so I lightly modded the original door to make it fit the extended battery. Keep in mind this is my first attempt... it has a lot of room for improvement.
do you know if you can use the ebay case with a belt clip holster? I am not a fan of the seidio case either, the ebay case looks better.
Looks good, whats tools did you use?
I was thinking about doing this but don't have the proper tool too. Have you considered making a plastic mold to cover the battery? I have heard of people using some thing call shurgoo to make custom plastic pieces.
I have seen pictures somewhere on here of people that are using the seidio clip holster with the back half of the case removed with the ebay battery door, but I now cant find the pictures... i know that mine would fit in a normal belt clip holster because the bottom and top are still as if it was in the stock case.
As far as tools, i just used a pocket knife, a pair of scissors and liquid super glue. Maybe shoe-goo? i dont have any idea what shurgoo is? I do want to try to make something out of plastic or fiberglass resin maybe.
I don't mind having the extra thickness, but all 3 of the extended battery covers I've gotten via eBay always have bad fitment just around the power button. It sticks out past the button and/or that same corner never stays down. I'm tempted to do something like take the stock cover, cut an opening in it, and then epoxy the hump from extended cover onto the stock cover. After that, I plan on finishing it off w/ wrapping it in some 3M DiNOC black CF since I've got some extra sitting around. Anyone wanna donate a stock battery cover?

TRIDENT Kraken Case Review.

This is my first review & thread, so please go easy. And please forgive me if I posted in wrong place.
Last year, I purchased the Trident case Kraken series for my tmo S3. After going through diffrent gel & hard cases and pouches, and reading reviews & watching drop-tests, I knew this was the case for me. I was right.
The case is a tank, plain & simple. After several drops & the occasional throw by my 3-year-old nephew, there still isn't a mark on it. It's sturdy, and looks like new. My only gripe was that I felt there should be more padding on the four coners of the case for extra protection.
Overall a excellect case. Until now.
Fast-foward to this year. Before I bought my S4, I purchased another Trident Kraken case. I left it in the package until I got my S4, then put it on. Right away I noticed:
1. Instead of a separate screen protectior you apply, they added it built-in on the front part where you hook the belt clip. While I think it's a great idea, the flim they used has a rainbow effect and it's a fingerprint & oil magnet. Even after using two electronic cleaning wipes, it still looks awful. Plus, the sensors & the front-facing camera are not covered.
2. The material on the side where the belt clips on is easily scratched (see pic). There is padding on the four corners of the case, which is good, but why did they put it on the clip's sides too?
3. On my S3, when you put the clip on, it snaps on no problems. But on the S4, I have to be careful not to scratch it further.
4. This case is hard to take off. I know this is to discouraged people from constently removing it, but on my s3, it take 2 mins tops to remove because you just snap it on/off. The S4 however, you have to grab the corner, then another one, and basically pull it out. I don't like doing this because of how fragile the phone is.
Despite this, I still like Trident. I just wish they did a better job. Thank you for your time.
the belt clip + reattachment process is the very reason i returned the case.
its a *major* hassle and i had no confidence doing it blindly as i do now withe the otterbox defender.
the case itself it awesome, but ffs, that beltclip is nasty.
Been having mine on for about a week now,..at 21 bucks shipped I couldn't pass that deal up(cheaper than the bs case I got from AT&T when the S4 first came out) I really like this case , as far as it being hard to take on and off,I had an OtterBox commuter on my S3, and to me that was harder to take on and off and was only a 2 piece case ,...I was leaning towards the OtterBox defender were or this....(both were 50 bucks when I was wanting to purchase, but OtterBox kept getting delayed and then the trident kraken pops up for 20 bucks well that made for an easy decision lol)...., for good phone protection this case is awesome, you can literally throw the phone across the room against a wall and nothing will happen, very cool case,.. about the screen protector, maybe you should contact them, mine is very clear ,..the ONLY complaint I have is the notification bar is a little harder to get 2 , ..but aside from that,I love it

I had one for my EVO to use when hiking/geocaching, no worries if it got dropped, muddy, light rain. Got one on the way for the S4 for the same reason. Might be a pain sometimes and not something I'll use daily, but hard to beat for all around protection from the elements.

S4 + 4500mAh Extended Battery + Holster Hack

So I was pretty bummed that Seidio did not release a surface case and holster for the S4 compatible with the extended battery. Next best thing was to get a holster for the S4 and extended battery but even that they aren't making. I really like the holster and it is the first thing I do when I get another phone.
After looking at photos it seemed that the extended back cover changes nothing in terms of dimensions at the top; it just gets fatter at the bottom. I decided the buy the regular holster and bend the two flaps that keep the phone in the holster. Works perfectly.
All I did was get some tape and press my fingers onto the sticky side to wear it out a bit so it could be removed easily from the new cover. Then I took a heat gun and warmed up the tabs for a few seconds. Once that was done i just carefull slid the S4 into position and waited for the plastic to cool off and presto...bigger battery with a holster that works!
After sliding it in after heating it up with tape to protect the cover.

Belt "Holster" recommendation:

If anyone is looking for a belt holster style carrying case, this is one that I got a few weeks back:

So far it's worked very well for me. I keep the Incipio Battery Pack on all the time on my phone and it fits just beautifully in this case. Just about the perfect size to easy in, easy out with the battery pack on it. Not very expensive either. The material is appears to be good quality.
I was even able to fit the phone with the JBL speaker mod on it in the case, though that was a tight fit.
There are two negatives worth noting:
1. It's big! Well, obviously it has to be cause it's a big (ie, tall) phone so it looks a little large on your hip. If having something big and heavyish on your hip is going to bug you, then don't get it.
2. I'm not thrilled with the clip... It's strong enough, but it doesn't hold as tightly as I'd like. This makes it easy to get the case on and off your belt... but a little too easy. A couple of times I've pulled the whole case off when just trying to get my phone out. And at least once when I was sitting in a deep couch for a while my normal movement while seated moved the case enough up the belt that when I stood up the case fell off my belt. (It's possible I just one a case with a belt clip that isn't as tight as it normally should be.)
Thanks for the review! Couple questions...
Is it long enough, that without a mod attached, the phone will fit with a case on it? In particular I was thinking of the bumper.
I work on trucks for a living. Having it slide off my belt would be annoying. Do the clips have enough space, that were I to glue them down, I'd be able to slide a belt through them?
Never mind, I see it has loops.
How well has it held up, since you've purchased it?
Just to let you know...the Incipio Performance Level 4 cases come with a holster as well. And they're not bulky like the OtterBox Defender series.
As a follow up, the AGOZ holster is great! At first I thought the clip was overkill, and contemplated removing it, but in unison with the loops, it firmly holds the holster where I want it. I use it all week long at work, since I work on trucks, and want the most protection possible, without the Otterbox bulk in hand.
I did look at the Incipio holster, but it looked awkward used in the horizontal position. I did purchase their bumper, which I love. On weekends, I use the Seidio Dilex Pro holster for the Galaxy Note 5, recommended on another forum. It's a perfect holster in combination with the bumper, and allows for any mod to be used.
I just want a simple clip holster that works with the back panel that came with the phone. No bumper, no case... Just a belt clip.
No where to be found.
I use this sometimes. Works fine with the style shell or Incipio battery pack. It has a nice sturdy metal clip that allows the case to rotate.

I bought this 3 years ago. It will fit any phone, phone/mod out there. I got tired of snapping off the otterbox holster clips getting in and out of the car.

How do you carry your V20 (besides pants pocket or jacket pocket)?

How do you carry your V20 (besides pants pocket or jacket pocket)?
Mine's on my waist in a belt clip (6PU-GLYD) which works with the Spigen case I have.
How does everyone else carry theirs?
Looking for another idea. Thanks!

I have the same setup. I tried just a pocket for a while but always seems like I'm taking it out of my pocket when I sit.
The holster is nice quick and easy access. Also not too obtrusive.

Thanks.
Do you clip yours on your belt? or front pocket?
Clipped in my waistband/belt, horizontally. As shown here for example:
I have a similar setup, with a few different parts. My V20 is in an Otterbox Defender case, but since its own holster/belt clip could eventually break, I use a leather pouch made by Turtleback instead. I've been using these pouches (they come in many different sizes with both vertical and horizontal layouts) with several of my older phones for years, and they've been rock-solid. They're a bit pricey (I used to get them for around $25–30 but now the prices are higher) but barely seem to show any signs of wear and tear over the years.
I usually clip it on my belt above the right front pocket in a horizontal position with the opening magnetic flap facing left. I'm left-handed, so I pull out the phone the same way I probably would for a sword. One interesting thing about taking it out of the pouch is that about half the time, the V20 can unlock itself if the Quick Cover case option is on and any secure lock for the lock screen is off.
If it gets too bulky when I'm in a tight space, then I just put the whole thing in my front right pocket with the flap hanging out, as shown in the second photo.
Usually in a pocket. On my bike, it goes in a pocket in my rack bag. In the car, it goes on a magnetic vent mount. It's got a case and a screen protector, so I don't handle it with kid gloves.
