i tested this only with a sense 3.5 rom
sorry for bad eng
i know, there are A LOT OF threads like this, but the other guides didn t help me
tested kernel:
Virtuous v10
Endymion v2.1
you will need:
setcpu- http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=3638937
oc/uv beater2 v1.7- http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1207546
tasker(if you use mobile data)- https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.dinglisch.android.taskerm&hl=it
android commander(or root explorer)- http://androidcommander.com/
1.
download and install setcpu
open it
Code:
max cpu: as you want(for ex. i m using 1.1Ghz(1152))
min cpu: 245
scaling: Virtuous(or Smartass)
now go to Profiles
check Enable
and add Profile:
Code:
Profile screen off
Max 844800
Min 245000(the same as the home page)
Scaling Virtuous(or Smartass)(the same you are using in the home page)
Priority 100
Save it and exit
2.
download and install oc/uv beater2
open it
go to UV1
press All -25
press All -25 again
press Temp Activate,
wait a few seconds and if your phone works you can save and perm activate
now,at your own risk, you can press All -25 again and press temp activate,if your phone is still working you can save and perm activate
i m using -200 without problems(you can try,at most your phone will freeze and you will need to pull out the battery)
REMENBER TO USE "TEMP ACTIVATE" BEFORE "PERM ACTIVATE" TO TEST YOUR UV VALUES
UV will reduce the performance(just a little),anyway performances are useless without a good battery life
now that you saved and perm activated, you can close oc/uv beater
3.
--FOR THOSE WHO USE MOBILE DATA--
download and install tasker
here a few profiles:
http://www.mediafire.com/?beyqe2t2igyl8vl
copy this folder in your sdcard(Tasker\profiles)
open tasker
press and hold Profiles button
press import
Descriptions:
Code:
[COLOR="SeaGreen"]Acc:[/COLOR] set virtuous as cpu governor and load oc/uv beater at system startup[COLOR="red"](you can select an other governor)[/COLOR]
[COLOR="seagreen"]BTt[/COLOR]: it will disable mobile data and internet profile when battery is <= 36%
it will enable all when battery is >= 37%
[COLOR="seagreen"]Internet:[/COLOR] it will enable mobile data and auto sync automatically and it will disable them automatically
[COLOR="red"](if you are using app like xda,htc mail, gmail etc..,set sync time to every [U]30 minutes[/U])[/COLOR]
Optional:
[COLOR="seagreen"]Musix:[/COLOR] open htc music when an headset is plugged
[COLOR="seagreen"]Music of:[/COLOR] stop playing,and close htc music automatically(wait 1-2 seconds)
[COLOR="SeaGreen"]Pre-internet:[/COLOR] enable auto sync to sync all apps after the night
4.
Tweaks:
Build.prop
(you can use android commander to extract the build.prop or root explorer)
Code:
wifi.supplicant_scan_interval=as you want (i m using: 90000000 ,may not work for you)
# Disable HTC checkin service
ro.config.htc.nocheckin=1
ro.config.nocheckin=1
profiler.force_disable_err_rpt=1
# Increase battery saving
pm.sleep_mode=1
ro.ril.disable.power.collapse=0
So
now when your phone screen is off and mobile data and gps etc.. are off,you will not have battery consumption(at most 1% every 1-2 hrs and maybe more)
if mobile data is on when screen is off it will use less battery
wifi(if you are using an high value) will comsume less battery than mobile data
You can leave wifi turned on more hours
you can also use auto-brightness and live wallpapers
and...a good battery
http://www.aliexpress.com/product-f...Battery-for-HTC-Desire-S-G12-wholesalers.html
i already bought it(not there,it is only an example)
hope this can help
Hi kylon. Thanks for the effort.
Just wanted to point out that if you're using oc-uv beater, there's no point using set cpu at the same time. If anything, the latter is slower, and the beater is a better, faster, and more recommend app by most good devs, for controlling clock speeds. Just thought I'd pitch in with my 2 cents....
Sent from a phone waiting for kernel v3. Wake up HTC!!
I use setcpu widget to see temperature and the current speed
Sent from my HTC Desire S using xda premium

I use temp+CPU pro widget for that, nice and lite on system too
hi guys, i have set cpu installed and fiddled around with it abit, does anyone have any tips on how i can use it to save my battery as long as possible?
thanks
Go to the "profiles" tab. Set up some profiles that will help you save the battery. Example: 300-800mhz while screen is off. And another, when battery is below a certain level like 25% have a profile that sets your mhz to 300-600 or less. Create a few of those profiles and you should be saving battery. Don't forget to set them after boot and to make sure they are check marked. Hope this helps you.
yeah thanks ill give it a try
Do voltage changes take effect immediately? I can't tell if adjusting the slider actually does annything and I'm trying to test how low I can go.

When you hit apply the voltage will be saved right away. I'm using System tuner in the pas but now using Android tuner but same principle.
I don't see an apply button anywhere, I've just been clicking "Save" and overwriting my last save each time. Is there an app that shows what voltage it's currently running at, like it shows the frequency it's running?
Trickster Mod
Trickster does the same thing...slightly easier to use.
If you want the voltages to persist after a reboot in ST make sure you go to boot settings and enable CPU settings as an init.d script.
Sorry for my English
I am using CM10.1 ROM
I use the No-frills CPU Control to overclock CPU to 1.2GHz(performance cpu governor). However, when I locked the screen and woke it up, my phone would automatically restore the default CPU setting(1.0GHz). I had to go to the app and apply the setting everytime. How could I prevent the system change CPU frequency?
Make sure that the option called "set on boot" is checked. It will automatically apply the settings (overlclock to 1.2) on boot.
Hope this helped

I have already made a tick. I also found that when I locked the screen for a few minutes, there is nothing changed. And if my phone idle for an hour or even longer, then the system would automatically restore the default CPU setting.
Does the system have battery saving mode? How can I turn off it? I haven't downloaded any battery saving apps
Try.. Trickster mod.. U can lock frequency with it..

Hello guys today I'm here with a trick to increase charging speed in coolpad cool 1 (works on any Android device) .
You need root for this method to work. So lets get started..
1. Go to play store and download Kernel Adiutor app
open the app and grant root permission and follow the steps
carefully.
2. Swipe right or click on hamburger menu and select cpu from
this menu.
3. Scroll down a bit and click on cpu governer and click
powersave, again scroll down and click on cpu governor
and select powersave.
4. Scroll to top and enable apply on boot by clicking the
toggle.
5. Now swipe right or click hamburger menu and scroll down
and click on I/O scheduler and select Scheduler to deadline.
6. Now in Read-ahead section swipe it to the value
1664.
7. Scroll down to RQ affinity and set it to max i.e. 2
8. Once again scroll to top and click on Apply on boot.
Done.
Now grant auto launch permission to this app and reboot your phone and enjoy fast charging.
*Note :- If the values are set to default on reboot then change as per the guide and swipe right and go to settings and scroll down a bit and click on test it will apply the settings without rebooting
Here's my video if you dont understand or mis something :-

Hit Thanks if it works for you
Sorry, but none of the settings you mentiond seems to be related to charging speed. How do you think this should work?

Sir you can try this, this is tested before published it controls the cpu to operate in low energy and it increases charging rate. Im not telling that this gives you quick charge but it does increase charging speed (not very fast though) and its enough for people having qc support by hardware and not allowed by software. In my group everyone tried this and it seems to be working for them. So good luck try this once (it lowers performance a bit though)
