Hi noob here, I just want to ask if there's a way to improve the sensations antenna reception, I have been having inconsistent signal sometimes people will call me and even if my phone is on they said it goes straight to vm due to low signal specially when my phone is idle for a long time. Hope someone can shed a light to my problem.
Note: I already tried warranty exchange and same thing, tmobile signal in our area is very good.

Can I flash a new radio and keep the stock rom? I love how the stock sense that's why I never did try to flash or root my phone yet.

Hey guys,
Installed arhd 6.4 yesterday and I'm having some issues with the mobile data. It is constantly uploading, and I can't go to google or load anything. Checked the apn settings for 3 ( my network) and they're all correct.
Anyone know what the problem is? Could it be solved by flashing a new radio?
Thanks

As a rule of thumb, you should always flash the ROM dev's recommended firmware which contains the recommended radio

Yea I did, got firmware that it said to. 3.32 something.
So does that rule out radio problems?

How do you find a choose the correct one.I'm needing a better signal, faster download Ind speeds, etc.

Radio
The radio you need depends on your service provider and ROM, some dev's suggest the radio you should use to attain the best speeds, also you can check the stock radio release with your phone when it was stock, and look for ROM's with the same radio as well as trying to find if the radio will be flashable on your ROM
Thanks for that information.

Correct in essentials, though flashing an RUU or firmware will change the radio.
What are the changes that the 3.33 has apart from 3.32? I have T-Mobile in the US and I am wondering if it would make a difference if I got the 3.33 firmware. Will it make a difference in phone signal or WiFi signal or will it make a difference at all?

I know that some people have expierienced some issues with WIFI after updating to 3.33, however, I myself have updated to 3.33(also a t-mobile user), and haven't had ANY issues. I am currently running CM10, and haven't had any issues. Great speeds also.

No changes for me neither. I also used some apps to check signal, but no difference at all
No change other than the radio for me.
Are TMOUS users with 3.3.2.531 firmware having success running Roms based on the 3.3.3 firmware?

I am, I've been running ROMs that say 3.33 is recommend, but it works flawlessly
Sent from my HTC Sensation 4G using xda app-developers app
I've run 3.33 roms on 3.32 firmware and vise versa. There are problems with WiFi and Bluetooth on stock 3.33 due to two missing files. I've addressed both files in my version of 3.33. Without these changes you may have to set a static ip address for WiFi to connect, otherwise it will just hang without connection.
/system/etc/dhcpcd/dhcpcd-run-hooks
and
/system/etc/dbus.conf
are both missing in the 3.33.401.106RUU

Yes I'm a T-Mobile user and run 3.33 never had problems no problems with 3.33 ROMs either. All is well. I actually feel I had a bit better signal after flashing 3.33. I've been using 3.33 for awhile now and its proven to be just fine no issue whatsoever!

Thanks Grogg!
Good to know you've had success running 3.3.3 roms on 3.3.2.531.
I've been reluctant to jump up to 3.3.3 firmware because of all the horror stories about losing wifi and not getting it back. This is from reading all the threads of people who flashed 3.3.3 firmware, tried a multitude of Roms, move back down to 3.3.2 firmware, and still don't get WiFi back. What is your take on that? (I value your thoughts and opinions when I see you in a thread. I abide by the Dude.)

I haven't gone extremely in depth in chasing down user issues lately, but I know that majority of wifi issues are related to users without s-off. More often than not, you'll find that wifi issues and htc-dev unlock go hand in hand. I've gone back and forth a number of times now and have suffered no such issues.
Now, as far as differences between 3.32 and 3.33 go... There are new kernel sources that were released for the 3.33 builds. Kernels built from these sources DO seem to work fine with 3.32 roms. There are no change logs released from HTC, so the only changes you could really decipher from source would be within the kernel sources manually. As far as any other changes between ROMs or firmware, nobody really answered because nobody really spent the time to manually dissect each and every file within the bases for comparison. It's just the way people think around here: higher number must mean better right? LOL
If you're happy with 3.32.531.14 then stick with it. There's nothing in 3.33.401.106 that is going to make your phone run faster or jump higher!
