Any LinkedIn and Google+ apps out there?? - Windows Phone 7 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Two of my missing social apps on WP is LinkedIn and Google+. As a scientist, I use these apps to reach out and learn more from my fellow professionals but too bad they are not on my OS. The ones out there at the marketplace are just bad and are just the webpages in an app's cloth. Really wish they come out with nice ones soon. Any developer there to help?

Facebook apps?

So I am a pretty big facebook buy, i dealt with the crappy official Facebook app but now im REALLY sick of it. The Facebook Touch app is slightly better but the developers that made this app really need to wake up, even look at the iPhones facebook app. Why make the app come with the phone and get people to use it but make it a crappy app. Like almost everything redirecting to the web. Maybe even the people that made the XDA app can make a facebook app that relates to the iPhones. Im sure developers on this site could do a hell of alot better. I would even pay for it.
What do you guys think?
I would be willing to pay $10 for an Android Facebook app that matched the functionality of the iPhone Facebook app.
+1million.
I have no clue who the facebook developer team for the official app is but someone should find out and send them an email lol
Trouble is Facebook themselves made the iPhone app, hence why it is so good. I find Bloo is the best we have so far and with chat coming in the next version and a widget soon, it's already better than the 'official' android offering
Wait so the Official facebook app (the one that came on the phone) isn't made by facebook themselves?
however, i like the offical facebook app more, but it shows a photo in mobile facebook instead of showing in it's own apps ... v. sad
Yeah thats what i mean, and on the touch facebook site it doesnm't show picture comments for some reason too. This crap needs to be fixed lol

Facebook

Hey there,
I have decided that I truly despise the native windows mobile facebook app. Is there any other (preferably free) ones that are good? I do think the current iphone one is quite good and easy to use, is there anyway to use that on the HD2? The WinMo one is just a pain in the arse to be honest.
Thanks
xx
I just use the touch site, works well, better than the native app.
the touch site lots of times doesnt work for sending messages it doesnt recognize when i type into the box
Hi all,
I've tried the facebook mobile site, touch site, facebook lite and market place app and they all have bad points. The worst is not all your friends status updates show. I tend to use the full site on my HD2 internet browser. Saves loads of problems. Will probably keep on using it till we get a good facebook app that is similar to the iphone app
can't really agree that the iphone facebook app is all that great though...
privacy issues is one thing, where syncing your contact with the iphone facebook app allows facebook the right to own every contact information in your iphone!
and their syncing system allows strangers on facebook to be synced to your iphone contacts... perhaps they synced it with contact information they got from other iphone users, based on phone no.s and etc, but ignoring country and area codes, which ends up syncing your iphone contact to a stranger in facebook, because they have the same phone no. (excluding country code)... that alone is scary enuf...
at least i'm happy with HD2's manila facebook integration, a little manual, but safer, and the album viewing is just smooth, with auto update of the avatar on the phone...
the app is not that impressive them, i have to admit... but iphone's privacy violation just gives me the jitters...

Facebook

Hi,
I have a couple of friends on Facebook who play Farmville, cityville etc. I don't play these so wondered if there's any way to stop posts from these applications coming through my Facebook feeds in the people hub?
I've blocked these applications on Facebook and the posts don't appear any more when I access Facebook on my laptop or phones mobile browser but they keep coming through on the people hub? I've also tried deleting my Facebook account on the phone and then adding it again but still no joy!
Anyone any ideas? I have a Mozart by the way.
Cheers

Click to collapse
That's strange. It does work for me that way.
Try to unblock the applications in facebook and then reblocking them. Maybe that'll do it.
+ 1 Thanks OP, thought it was just me (HD7)
I have tried unblocking and re blocking as suggested above but no luck. Maybe it will be addressed in Mango
Regards,
Creamy
Thanks for the replies.
@defining - I'll try unblobking then re-blocking just in case! I'll post if it works or not later!
@creamy - Good to know its not just me!
Well I've tried unblocking and re-blocking the apps, deleting my Facebook account from the phone and re-synching and several combinations of the above and still no luck!
Can anyone think of anything else I can try?
Cheers!

best thing about wmp is that it's not wmp
If you are into Facebook and Twitter, one of the best things is that in the People hub, you can see all the feeds together in one place. And if you want to follow a specific person or persons, you can put that person on your home page and then you will see their updates right in the tile (icon). And for many programs, the connection to Facebook and Twitter is built in and you can easily post things to those places.
It doesnt freeze
It doesn't lag
It doesn't need a reboot for in some cases even a year
It doesn't have malware issues
It doesn't have spyware issues
It remains fast every time you use it (even after a year)
It doesn't need 2-3 cores to run
It isn't heart rippingly expensive
It has Facebook integrated
It has Facebook Chat integrated
It has Windows Live Chat integrated
It has Twitter integrated
It has LinkedIn integrated
It has XBOX games
It has Zune subscription services
It has Office integrated
It has Bing search integrated
It has Bing Maps integrated
It has Music recognition integrated
It has QR-code and barcode reader integrated
It has Skydrive (25GB) cloud storage
It has Live tiles so you dont have to open apps
It has a dedicated camera button
It doesn't "need" custom ROMs
It has excellent handset design choices
It just works!

Android version of Windows Phone People Hub

I am a recent convert to Android from Windows Phone (after MSoft cut the legs out from under WP7 users), and was wondering if there's an app that has similar functionality to the Windows Phone People hub updates. I'm basically looking for something to feed my LinkedIN, Facebook, and Twitter feeds into one clean stream.
I have the HTC One X, and HTC has their friends app which comes close (as do other apps in the Play Store), but leaves out LinkedIN, which is a big function I'd like to have. Any suggestions?
Nothing available out there? Am I missing something?
there isnt people hub app for android. but you can made it using ADW.
