Hi
I am new in this forum.
My problem is:
My HTC Deire S got automatically restarted time and again last week, later it started going hanged, with black screen if I click Power button which wouldn't wake up until I take off battery and restart again. Few days later even that cannon be done. So I tried to factory restart since I didn't had any other option. but it ended with red triangle and exclamation mark.
Now when I put on the device I just get white screen with HTC logo
So I tried recovery updating
Device asks me if I want to start update
when I press 'Yes" I get :
Update is in progress... (in blue)
Do not power off the device! (in red)
But the update never ends, the screen remains as it is with 'updating' information until it has no battery power.
I had tried it for few times it is always same
I hope to get help from friends over here.
By the way I bought the device in China last May, and it came S-OFF
Information I get when I open HBoot screen is

I would like to respond to some of you who think that there is an option to revive MY mob. And forgive my bad English.
I would ask for a detailed procedure with the links, because I'm not so adept at this. Thanks in advance.
When i try with this RUU, http://shipped-roms.com/download.ph...0805U_38.03.02.11_M_release_177977_signed.exe pres wolume down+power fastboot usb. And run RUU its stuck on Rebooting to Bootloader, and nothing.
Edit, you've received an answer in another thread
Hi there, I'm new at this forum and new at android so please be patient with me!! This is my problem and I have a few questions too.
I wanted to perform my htc one x AT&T interface so I rooted it succesfully, then I installed recovery PWRP v2.6.0.0 but i dont know what went wrong and now i cannot start my phone, it is stuck on htc boot screen. I'm really afraid of what can happen now. I've read that if you install the wrong ROM i can brick it. I want to know how to fix this, and if i can flash any any any ROM at this forum. I know that htc is not upgrading this phone to android 4.2, just to 4.0.4, which is the one i have, but can i upgrade to 4.2 sense 5 using a custom ROM? please if you need any info ask for it and thank you!! Evermore, I wiped system, sdcard, cahce, etc...
We will need some further information from you. You said your phone hangs at the HTC screen when you try to boot it, does it stay on that screen constantly, or does it perform multiple boot loops? Here's a couple of options:
Scenario A (phone stays in htc screen constantly): hold volume down + power together, keep holding them and your button lights will start flashing then the screen will turn off. After a couple of seconds let go of the power button but continue holding volume down until you reach the bootloader (a white screen with text).
Scenario B (phone performs multiple boot loops): hold the volume button while it's booting, the next time it reboots it will enter bootloader as long as you keep holding volume down.
Now that you're in the bootloader, please post the first five lines of text you see. Also please tell us which root/unlocking method you used, and whether you've flashed any custom ROMs or anything at all before your phone stopped booting.

Thank you for your reply. I fixed this problem installing DM9 ROM and now works great. Here are the first five lines you asked:
It is unlocked

I used X-Factor root and at a first time it used to get stucked on htc white scrren logo, then i performed a cache restore through adb and at that time it started rebooting over and over again.
If you can help me now with the following will be great: I want to know if i can upgrade my OS to 4.2 JB with Sense 5 having superCID and s-on, or if there's a ROM out there that can simulate Sense 5 for 4.0.4. If it exist, could you tell me which will work fine? thank you very much
You can definitely run the Android 4.2.2 / Sense 5 ROMs with your current setup, no problems. You will need to flash the Beastmode kernel as well as the ROM to fix signal drop issues though. All of this can be found in our Android Development section.

Hi. Hopefully someone can help me out with this. HTC Inspire 4G was stuck with red triangle a few months back.
I managed to get that fixed with help of member Gizmoe and reloading stock RUU from PC.
Everything working great until yesterday. Now out of the blue it boots to black HTC logo screen
with the 4 triangles in the corners. When I hook it up to PC , PC doesn't recognize it, BUT when I disconnect
from PC I get white screen with:

NOTE: I cannot use vol - and power to get to HBOOT screen
So I'm totally stuck right now...again !!
Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

I just can avoid a lengthy post because i need to explain my situation clearly
I was using a wifi with the phone as well as playing movie when i discovered that the battery was weak. I Stopped the movie but not the wifi, then plugged the phone to a charger and went to sleep. I woke up next day trying to put on the phone but NO. I immediately sensed it might be a drained battery. Plugged it in, now with the red LED flashing and then the phone was on automatically but off again when it gets to the HTC logo. It repeats this process again as long as the charger is still connected. I plugged it to PC same result. Then I left it that way hoping that it will soon charge up.
However, with the boot loop I can still get to the bootloader/fastboot menu pressing the VOLUME down button. I managed to run the latest RUU.exe (AT&T ONE X 4.2.2, hboot 5.18) that i was using before this trash happen BUT the phone will no longer connect to pc as MTP device. It does connect as fastboot USB when in that mode and I tried using that mode to run the RUU.exe but it fails again (USB error message) when it gets to 'WAITING FOR BOOTLOADER' since the phone will start to boot loop at that instant. THE BOOT LOOP A HEADACHE!!
No matter what I tried, its same boot loop (stops at the HTC Logo and reboot). I even tried to unlock bootloader to enable flash it with a custom rom BUT after selecting YES to unlock from the fastbook screen, it reboots to htc logo and starts loop. When I checked my status, it still shows LOCKED.
That's my problem. pls I need HELP! Somebody help me, I loosing my work & best friend.
Hello Everyone
I have a stock HTC One S from T-Mobile USA. The phone has never been rooted or tampered with in any way, debug mode has never been enabled on it. The phone currently gets stuck on the the HTC Logo screen whenever it gets turned on
Pressing the Volume Down + Power button gets me to the Recovery Menu with the following:

*** LOCKED ***

<VOL DOWN> to next item
<POWER> to select item
FASTBOOT
RECOVERY
FACTORY RESET
CLEAR STORAGE
SIMLOCK
IMAGE CRC
SHOW BARCODE
======================================
The first thing I tried was clear storage. The phone displays a red exclamation point inside a triangle above a phone image for about 2 minutes, reboots and gets stuck on the HTC Logo Screen
I then tried Factory Reset, The phone displays the red exclamation point logo for a few minutes, reboots, displays the HTC Logo screen, an then goes on a boot loop until the battery dies.
The Recovery Option does pretty much the same thin as the Clear Storage option mentioned above.
I tried Image CRC, but the phone gets stuck calculating its size.
Any ideas on how to get this phone working again?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.
maybe you can try seach a RUU for you cid and run it.
