Battery calibration improves battery life?

I know android has issues with correct battery calibration but I am wondering if the belief of people is right in that calibration improves battery life. I think calibration is supposed to let you see the true level of your battery at a particular time?
OR am I wrong?

[Q] wipe battery stats?

[Q] Battery Calibration

Can you guys recommend a battery calibration app?
Currently im using ViperSaga, and yes we all know that our DS can live for a day or two depends on the usage.
Battery calibration by wiping battery stats is a myth. After 2-3 charge cycles, the indicated battery level will be as accurate as it ever will or can be.
Battery booster maybe ?
AOSP developer Dianne Hackborn has made it clear that battery calibration is a myth. It only mean deleted the battery stats. And your device does that on each reboot.
how about the wipe battery stats in the recovery? does it help the calibration of the battery?

Battery calibration does exactly that. It wipes the battery stats. And that is something your phone does automatically on each reboot.
Deleting stats is pointless indeed, but the battery calibration procedure that involves a discharge/recharge cycle, not only deletion of the stats file helps to have proper % indication that cannot happen on a Stock ROM which is the case the Google engineer is talking about. But when flashing custom is another story, then a wrong indication can appear after flashing and it has to be corrected

Though you can leave out wiping the battery, stats, the charge/discharge cycle is what helps.

Battery stats are weird

Hi
I had a faulty battery, I flashed a clean Android 6 to try systemless root, I got successful but battery stats are so weird afterward. I have changed my battery just now but I'm getting weird stats still.
I tried to recalibrate the old battery to no avail, have not recalibrated the new battery yet.
Any ideas?
PS: I think battery percentage is replaced by voltage (mv) in stats, but why?
