Given that the HTC one s does not have nfc and microsd. Is there any reason to upgrade? The one x seems to be too big too thick...
The latest ics beta seems to run pretty good on our sensations... Sense 4.0 would be welcome though. Or maybe cm9...

ics 3.6 is in the final release now and not beta go check out that at too
Yeah... Last time I tried virtuous it wasn't quite smooth.. I settled with insertcoin... Fast, and stable and great battery.. How's the new version of virtuous?

So what is up with this loading screen? Every time I exit the browser my phone reloads.. it is very annoying, the last time I have seen this was back in my mt3g days when I was running sense roms. Does any one experience this? And what are some solutions if any? Btw I'm completely stock and no root.

It's basically a memory leak issue that is plaguing this phone in the current sense version. Could be caused by too many apps running or a heavy skin.
I have rooted my phone and removed a lot of the HTC apps and now don't have this issue any more.

I don't have many apps, so I guess I will root.. I was really trying to refrain from relapsing to my flashing addiction, I thought this was the phone that would break my habbit...lol so what rom are you using?
Sent from my HTC Sensation 4G using xda premium
Ha ha. I have the same problem and had the same thought of sticking to stock. Lasted two days. Using energy ROM.
But to be honest we are spoilt for choice here, arhd, coredroid, leedroid and insertcoin are fantastic.
It all depends on your preference. I like the energy ROM cause it has the right mix of eye candy and smoothness with stability.

I've been using Android Revolution HD and haven't had any issues with memory leaks myself. Phone is incredibly stable, running v3.0.2 w/ dual-core patches. Love it.
Thank yall for your suggestions! I guess I Will root today

Sent from my HTC Sensation Z710e using xda premium
obviously yes.....there's already a test release in development threads, so it will arrive on Sensation....
What is the difference between the versions?
What features do 4.0 have that 3.6 don't?

well the UI is completely revised and the feature are the same as 3.6...nothing really new except the look...sense 4.0 is less heavy than 3.6 (htc says)
I read that the beats would be available on all audio applications.
Thrue ?
What about the UI and looks are different? Is it a huge difference or small?

Mmm i think that they are as the sensation xe... Same beats features

landscape homescreen and lockscreen
better adding widget implementation
As far as I'm aware sense 4.0 was built from scratch and so it doesn't weight as much as 3.6. No more carousel effect, and horizontal rather than vertical scrolling in all applications menu on the 4.0.

I tested for my part the insertcoin beta sense 4 and frankly there are substantial differences compared to previous versions. I found the beta tested slow but I'm sure this will improve with the RUU of the one S.
I like it anyway.
Do you think we will eventually get a ROM with ICS and Sense 4.0 or will be stuck with 3.6?

Probably not officially, as HTC is obviously trying push existing users to their new devices. The Sensation and EVO 3D's can run Sense 4.0 fine, seeing how 3.6 is supposedly heavier and more taxing, and yet HTC is lying through it's teeth saying the devices don't meet the specs for Sense 4.0
I hope the sense4.0 is more smooth, more quicker and more bettary life than sense3.6,not only appearance of systemUI.After flash difference 4.0ROMs,I felt disappointed, from now on ,I give my wish to the SENSE5.0
I looming for some 4.0 stable, fast barebone roms any suggestions...

I can recommend the OpenSensation CM9 build. It definitely stable (way more stable then HTC's ICS) and really fast. Been using it for about two months now and I'm happy with it.
Opensensation cm9.Do you know how many mb's the file is.the Rom size.

I believe it's around 128MB. It's way less then the bloated ROMs HTC produces.
I would recommend Virtuous Inquisition, basically stock Android 4, some HTC apks are left in such as camera as it is very good, but otherwise bloat free, smooth, fast, no problems

Thanks for the information on the Rom.Do you know by chance how big the file size is.

No offence but you shouldn't have opened a new thread in my opinion.
Here's my suggestions, cm9 and virtuous inquisition.

Man, let's flash leedroid supersensation 7.3.0. For me it's the best rom for great battery life.
My bad I'm sorry.

I have tried CM9 in a Samsung Galaxy S2 and it is very fast and stable, I think not much could change from that version to Sensation version. Also it had great battery life and menu with some tweaks.
I haven't tried Virtuous Inquisition.
