In the description of the app, it says its compatible with the kindle fire. I bought it through the Android market, not the amazon app store, because I have it on my phone too.
Anyways! I had tried searching for the app on the ICS Rom, but it wasn't available. I was disappointed, because i was really enjoying the Rom. But I restored a CM7 backup, and downloaded the app. (CM7 Barebones) and when I ran the app, it wasn't the tablet version of the app.
Does anyone know what I need to do to either:
1. Get the app on ICS. (I'm going to try TB and restoring it, but I'm not sure if it'll be the tablet version)
2. Force enable the tablet version of the app, instead of the phone version?
Thanks

Similar problem here, I have CM7 running on a Kindle Fire and I am getting the phone version. If anyone knows how to force it to run the tablet version that would be great.

running AtBat 12 on my AOKP milestone 5 kindle. No icon for watching live games (Am paid MLB.TV customer; works on my thunderbolt) I can watch highlights just fine.
1. Any paid subscribers to MLB.tV that can corroborate that watching live games is working on their rooted KF?
2. Might my suspicion that I just reloaded the cellphone version to my tablet is the problem. (Reading above it seems like there is a tablet specific version)
I am also on a CM9 rom and can watch the highlights but there is no live games icon. I'm guessing it is a build.prop issue and the app is not recognizing the Fire as a supported device for live games. Just a guess.

has anyone been able to get these games to actually work on their nexus? the gameloft site says that the nexus one isnt supported yet the lesser much crappier phone, moto droid is supported?
im able to install the apk file but when it downloads its additional content Sandstorm gets stuck at 99%, NOVA actually finished its download and said "tap screen to play" so i did then i exits out to adw. so i start it back up again and it wants to download again and its stuck at 99%. my friend can run these games beautifully on his vibrant. is the nexus being forgotten already?!
A gpu problem perhaps? Don't both the droid and the vibrant both have better gpus than the Nexus?
Nova works very fine on my nexus one ..
NOVA works fine on my nexus one, i found a version for the desire
Would you mind linking where you bought it? Or pm me I think its something with the downloaded files it requires. Also what rom are you running? I'm on leofroyo 2.0.0

I got gangstar working.
i'm too
i'm too, i can't play sandstorm, nova on CM 6 RC3
so can anyone tell me how this game gets installed on the n1? i got the apk and downloaded the required files and it gets to "touch screen to launch" then it exits and when i reopen it, it just self exits (takes a ****). also if someone with the desire version tell me if the downloaded files are different than the ones it regularly downloads?
It sounds like you're using a pirated version, in which case, is why it does not work.
no its a legit version, paid for. but it wont run. PERIOD
The OP's symptoms aren't related to pirating it, for the person who asked above.
If you play the pirated version with your radio on, while it's downloading the files or before you even get to the title screen it'll say something similar to "this version of NOVA is not legal." If you're getting to the title screen and it crashes after that, not sure what's causing the problem. Try reinstalling or contacting gameloft? It ran fine on my phone.
by the way, the game plays pretty poorly on the nexus due to how confused the phone gets when using multitouch

Was it bought using your phone, Gameloft uses Googles new verification steps.......
After 24-48 hours it gets validated and then allows the app to fully work.
The demos work alright, although not very multi touch friendly for the Nexus.
You could try downloading the demo and buying it through there.
I downloaded desire version of nova and galaxy s version of sandstorm demos... Both worked great so I purchased both of them from the games main menu and play them both daily

The Android Market for the next 10 days will be having 10 apps for .10 each.

Not sure if SwiftKey X will work on the Kindle but I bought it for my phone I think it is the best keyboard on the market.

I got Minecraft, and it works fine except for some bug that causes the screen to be covered in a "This server has restarted" message. Going to try Chainfire and see if I can fix it that way.

Weird, I played with my brothers just fine yesterday over Wi-Fi, and worked flawlessly. Not running Chainfire.
There's a Kindle Fire version of Asphalt 6!? Toooooooooo late!
Fruit Ninja is a great game but I already have it and I suspect many others do too.
I ended up buying both versions of Reckless Racing, sort of by accident, but I figured I may as well keep both around in case my phone only works with the regular version. The PLAY version works great on the Fire.
NFL Rivals doesn't work. Launches, goes through loading screens, lets you customize your player... then crashes when you actually get to the gameplay. Looks like a huge number of reviewers had similar problems. Even at $0.10 I got a refund. Backbreaker did the same thing on my phone; it was the free app of the day on Amazon and despite working the day I got it, it hasn't worked since. NaturalMotion must only own one or two Android devices and not bother testing on multiple hardware configurations.
The Christmas HD live wallpaper is actually pretty cool. Haven't bothered setting up the Fire to work with live wallpapers but I put it on my wife's Nook Tablet and she loves it. Highly configurable.
For Apps that do not show in the Google Market, buy them via the market.android.com, then go to My Apps in the Market (on Kindle) and the App will appear. Select the App to download. I did this for Need for Speed Shift and a few others.. Works like a charm.
I'm sure most already know this, but Amazon's doing the same thing in addition to the daily free app.

Hi,
I have a request. Does some know how to make NBA Game Time 2012-2012 or NBA.TV app work on kindle fire. I tried through android market but it says that my device is not compatible.
Do you have any advice to solve this problem ?
(If by any chance you have the apk to install this I would really appreciate sending my liknk through PM)
Best regards,
I will ask differenlty ;-)
May someone from US who has access to Android Market, download NBA Game Time 2011-2012 and make backup of it and then post a link to a apk file so we can test if it works on Kindle Fire?
Thank in advance!
I need the app also. I have a dell streak 7 from t-mobile that I reloaded with the streak 7 honeycomb rom. Now the app wont install because it allows streak7 t-mobile but not the wifi that the honeycomb rom is based off of. Its too smart for its own good.
I pulled the APK from my Inc2, and it's odd since it's buried in another spot, not in /data/app.
I tried to install it on my kindle (unrooted) but it would get stuck at the splash screen. Anyways, here's the apk.

I will try it at home and post results here
i dont think that will work- pkg.apk is for sprint broadband nba.
The file which was included above do work on Kindle Fire. I didn't try mobile league pass because I'm not in US.
I also istalled NBA.TV app which supposed to be not only for US users and it also works on Fire but it's not dedicated for tablet so for instance I can't login to international league pass because of screen issue.
Hope it helps
I was able to install it on my Transformer, using the above link, as it wasn't in the market for me, or any other tablet user. Everything works ok, except on videos I only have audio, no video. Hopefully they update it to support all tablets, including the Fire.

That's kind of weird though since I have a Verizon device. It was the only apk that showed up when i searched nbagametimelite
I was just thinking though that maybe it's getting stuck because it's trying to do a location check?
It wasn't for Sprint broaband only but regular one. The Sprint NBA Game Time blocks me just at the beginning, this works just fine
I chatted with customer support and they say that they are working on application for android tablets but they can't tell me when we can expect it though
Could you please upload NBA.TV application too?

HI guys, I have 'This app is not compatible with your device' message on 80% of apps on Market.... I didn't use my tablet for 3 month... it was properly working before
Now market looks different and i cannot download most of the apps.
I've tried to clean Market data, but it hangs, and when I reboot i works but issue still there.
I use Vanilla AOSP
What will be recommended action? Thank you

Thank you but suggested solution didn't work,
What worker is to update to 1.2, then I flashed GTabCombOver 3.4.2, now market works!
Good to see you sorted your problem. I get this error with the game loft data down loaders, the market let's me install them but the game downloaded gives the the incompatibility BS.
I solved this problem by getting a build.prop editor from the marketplace (should be available to most devices) and copied the settings from my HTC Glacier (MyTouch 4g). I can now download everything my MyTouch can. Some apps have minor problems, but most everything works fine. The only thing I can't d/l is the nvidia games, but I would submit that copying the build.prop settings from a phone that has the nvidia tegra would fix that problem.
I'm running the DRH ICS BETA and it has a built in build.prop editor with various selections to try but none have been successful for me, I even tried using the build.prop from my galaxy nexus but it wouldn't even boot.
change your screen dpi to 160 in the build.prop
Which settings do I change? I have the same problem. Apps that work on my Razr, don't work on here. Both are newspaper/magazine subscriptions.
Also, could the same thing be done to fool the Amazon market to think this is one of their tablets?

I found an answer to this problem. I downloaded what I needed on my Razr, did a complete backup with Titanium pro, copied the appropriate app onto SD card, put into G Tablet and install using Titanium pro. Worked great, that way the Market doesn't have to know what device I am installing this onto. The only problem was a notice that the resolution might be off. however, this was no problem.

Hey guys, from what I understand, the hbo go app used to say this device is not compatible but I recently tried sideloading again using the barebones cm7 Rom which is preconfigured to have a modified build.prop so it can use more apps. So basically it starts up now and I can use it but the problem is that it force closes the moment I click sign in. Is there any solution?

It's worked for me on every version of CM7 that I've tried.
I am running CM 9, so of course it is different, but the issue may have to do with the Kindle itself. I spent some time yesterday on tracking down the APK, even going back to earlier versions and it will not run for me at all.

the only drawback ive experienced is that you have to turn off wifi and repeat this every time you use HBOgo

Yes, every little bit of info may be useful to someone.
I am not sure if others have had issues with HBO Go since the May 4th update. I started getting the force close and was unable to sign in again. Well I am happy to report after finding an older version of the apk file on this very site - I am up and running again. It is the HBO Go 7 apk file.
Does anybody have an older version of the Max Go apk?
I hope this helps some of you.

Really? Still not working for me. Using the 1.4 version and still getting the "HBO GO is not supported on this device" message. I am on the Reloaded CM9 ROM. Which one are you using? Do you still have to use the workaround from the stock ROM (turn off Wifi, start app, turn it back on)? That also does not seem to work for me.
