Debranding Help required

Hello everyone,
i have just finished S-OFF my device. My android version is Vodafone (guess Germany since writings on the box are all in German) I want my device to run HTC Europe Stock rom.
I have found this tread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1193033
Do I have to do it that way? it seem complicated or can I just flash RUU_Pyramid_HTC_Europe_1.35.401.1_Radio_10.43a.9007.00U_10.51.9007.27_M3_release_198179_signed file I have downloaded using Clockwork recovery. If yes can anyone help me out how...
thanks in advance
Just do it the way it says in the thread. Anything else and you might brick your phone.
If you want to flash it the way you're saying, use a ROM instead. I'd recommend capychimp's RCMix3D Aztec ROM or mike1986's Android Revolution HD ROM.

[Q] Upgrade frrom gingerbread

Hi, I really am a complete noob on matters like this, so please any relevant answers please put in layman's terms.
I currently have a rooted desire hd running gingerbread 2.3.3, I have received a notification that I can upgrade to 2.3.5 with HTC sense 3. I want to upgrade but do not want to lose my root.
I have been trying to download the Android revolution HD 6.3.1, but it keeps timing out saying tiny.cc server is too slow or not responding.
Anyone know of any other way to upgrade to 2.3.5 with HTC sense 3 and keep the root?
Thanks

Android Revolution HD 3.6.8 custom kernel question

Just have a question for a custom kernel. I'm now running ARHD 3.6.8 on my HTC Sensation and it says Android 2.3.4 with 1.73.401.2. In the first post of the ARHD ROM:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1098849
Code:
Android 2.3.4 (Gingerbread) - latest official HTC RUU 1.73.401.2
This might be sound stupid but I never changed kernel and I do not want to end up with a bricked device so I go down the first post to 'Downloads' and I click on 'Custom Kernel Section'.
Ending up here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...2#post16419842
Then at the HTC Sensation / HTC Sensation 4G / HTC Sensation XE header there are all different versions of kernels and behind that there are descriptions as for example: For 1.45.401.2 (Android 2.3.4) or For 1.35.401.1 (Android 2.3.3).
But none of them is saying: 'For 1.73.401.2 (Android 2.3.4)'
I assume this means that the kernel will replace this to the version which is underlined in the description in the custom kernel section? (So actually downgrade it from the default 1.73.401.2 to for example 1.45.401.2?)
I just don't wanna end up with a bricked device or something
Thanks.

Hi,
If you are wanting a newer kernel, use the one in my signature.
Place it on your sd card,
wipe your cache and dalvik,
flash the kernel like a ROM,
and reboot.
Anyways, in the main post of the ARHD mike posted direct link to the main page of the faux123 Kernels, and Bricked i guess too.
That way i keep using 3.6.8 with 0.2.7 faux123 Kernel
I got now the new kernel from faux123 (the 0.2.7 - 1.73GHz) and it's working great!

[Q] Need the latest stock rom for HTC Sensation.

Greetings,
I have an HTC Sensation and its currently using the Revolution ROM. I want to install a stock rom that will allow me to use BeatsAudio, has the latest ICS version and Sense version. I would also like to be able to get updates from HTC directly - the way it was before I installed the custom ROM.
Can someone point me to a ROM I have to install ?
I cant seem to find what I want..
Thanks in advance.
Well to be able topping you in the right direction you need to post the following.
Are you S-off or HTC Dev unlocked?
Are you running Gingerbread or ICS right now.
Are you Super CID, and if not who is your carrier?
it is always there in Sensation Android Development section.
I am a newbie myself but I advise you to use the search button before asking next time.

htc sense

Dears .
i have sensation xe , i updated to 4.0.3 Via Wifi ,
but to now the htc sense version 3.6 ?
how can updated ,
Hi
This is correct.
4.0.3 is the Android version.
3.6 is the sense version.
This isthe last stock version for the sensation.
If you want to use newer versions of sense, you will need to use a custom ROM, with a sense ported from another device.
I use viper S Rom with sense 4.1.
if you want to do it, go to the Android development section, read all the stickies.
You need to
S-off
Install recovery
Flash new ROM
I hope it helps
Sent from my HTC Sensation
