I'm tired of the default lock screen in my Gfit. Also i need no launcher apps since it consumes much of ram. I was only able to notice a change in battery indicator and glowing scroll effect. This method for changing the default lock screen is not working in my gfit with rooted stock rom and CWM 4.0.0.5. Is there any other method to do it??? plz help

[THEME] Stock 2.3 Gingerbread Theme for BravoX [v1.1]

Stock 2.3 Gingerbread framework-res.apk mod
This will work on BravoX Rom and stock Bravo 2.2.1 (as tested by abhi897)
I have only tested it on BravoX RC2 so I can't guarantee any results, anything you do to damage your phone is not my responsibility.
This modifies the framework-res.apk and services.jar
It modifies more than just the status bar. (Let me know if you guys want just a status bar mod)
What it changes:
Status Bar & icons
Popup menus
Buttons
Drop down menus
"loading" spinners
plus other things
Requirements:
Root
BandroidX's bootstrap recovery and/or have ADB set up with knowledge
A way to get you phone back from a brick (e.g. SBF, nandroid restore)
To apply:
(With bootstrap recovery)
Download the flashable zip from below to your sdcard
Boot into CWM recovery through BandroidX's recovery app
Make a nandroid backup (not necessary but I highly recommend)
Select install zip from sdcard
Select choose zip from sdcard
Select the .zip you put on your sdcard
select yes to confirm
wait for installation to finish (a few seconds)
Reboot (will take a while because of the modded services.jar, so BE PATIENT!) Pull Battery and boot up again if boot takes longer than 5 minutes
Enjoy your theme!
(With ADB)
Download the .zip from below to you computer
Extract the services.jar and framework-res.apk to where your ADB directory is
Plug your phone in with phone portal and ADB debugging enabled (settings>applications>development)
Open up your command prompt
Type these commands (after each, press enter):
Code:
cd [directory of adb and .jar and .apk]
adb remount
adb push framework-res.apk /system/framework/framework-res.apk
adb push services.jar /system/framework/services.jar
adb reboot
(reboot will take awhile because you are modding the services.jar, so BE PATIENT!) Pull Battery and boot up again if boot takes longer than 5 minutes
Things needed in upcoming updates:
Change some white font to black for easier reading (such as pull down menus)
Change some other .pngs and .xmls to better match 2.3 Gingerbread
Changelog:
1.1
Made progress bars gingerbread color
Made menu font white
menu dividers are light
1.0
Initial release
Thanks to:
BandroidX for the awesome theme and bootstrap
Daneshm90 for the .zip creator http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=717437
EXTRA- if you want Gingerbread Market notifications and Gmail notifications follow these steps:
Note: you don't need my status bar mod, it will work on any phone (I think).
Download zip below
put on sdcard
uninstall market and gmail
rename the vending.apk and gmail.apk (located in system/app/) to vending.bak and gmail.bak
boot into CWM recovery
Wipe Cache
Select install from zip from sdcard
select choose zip from sdcard
select gingerbread_icons_market_and_gmail.zip
install
Screenshots:
In case anyone wants to know I loaded this on stock 2.2.1 it works fine except the time is blacked out in the status bar so gonna reload rom and reapply.
good job with this, I do prefer your DroidX one though
very nice work!
Love this theme, looks great. Only thing, is there a way to make the text on the pop up buttons when you hit the menu button white? As it is when u press the menu button they are black and you can't see them to read them when you press menu (except when you long press a button). No biggie just wondering if it was possible. Thanks.

[Guide] HOW To Port Bootanimtion to Your Suitable Resolution

HI GUYS
Do you used to have a conversation like this one
..A: HEY!!!!!. your phone's bootnimation is very nice, could you send it to me??
..B: Sorry, it's not suitable with your screen reslution.
..A: ohh, Do you know how to change the resolution?.
..B: you can go to xda and ask how
_IF you're looking how to change the bootainmation resolution you're in the right place.
Requirement:
1. Windows 7
2. MIR (multiple image resizer) <from attachment> .
3. Bootanimation factory <from attachment>.
4. the bootanimtion you want to resize (I'm going to work on xperia lollipop bootanimtion.
NOTE: every step has its explaining image in the attachments.
and suggest to download the photos then start because you will need them they will help you alot.
NOW lets get started:
RESIZING THE IMAGES
1. extract the bootanimation to a folder .
2. open the MIR and click on "open a folder of images" then navigate to the 'bootanimation' folder.
3. select 'part0' and the photos in the parrt0 folder will loaded like in the attached photo .
4. now go to the resizing window and set the suitable resolution (in my case will be 480*854).
5. now create another folder and rename it "bootanimation" and create in that folder the same folders in the original bootanimation folder.
6. get back to MIR and to "save option" window and save the resized photo(s) to the folder you have created.
Code:
IF you take the photos that you have resized form 'part0' folder then safe it in part0 folder in the new created folder
part0----------->part0
part1----------->part1
part2----------->part2
etc............
7.now do the same thing with "part1, part2 , part3 ............etc" .
CREATING THE BOOTANIMTION
8. now open the Bootanimation factory and select "create a bootanimtion" and select " folder" .
9. select "chose folder " and chose the new created folder.
10. now go to original bootanimtion folder and to desc.txt .
11. get back to bootanimation factory and select the first line in the top right menu. and click edit.
12. edit the (FBS) to the suitble one in the desc.txt . for example if it was "20" in desc.txt then make "20".
13. now add loops and make them the same values in the desc.txt
14.click "create bootanimation" .
15. CONGRATULATION YOU HAVE YOUR OWN NEW BOOTANIMTION.
HOW TO INSTALL:
1. Push THE BOOTANIMATION.zip to system/media
2. give it rw-w-w
3. Reboot; ENJOY IT!!
..A: So that's it , it's so easy.
..B: yeah, I can now resize every bootanimtion I like.
..n78 shadow: guys please continue your conversation out of this thread.
FAQ
..A:why don't we just change the resolution in desc.txt
..n78 shadow:it won't work you need to change the images size and if you try will have a bootloop
..B:The folders in the original bootanimtion wasn't named "part0" they were named "generic1" .
..n78 shadow:No problem you can rename it in the new created folder "part0" just remember that the phone will play first "part0" folder then "part1" folder .......etc
NOTE:
1. if you have any question post it here.
2. if you feel it complicated or you didn't under stand something tell me
3. if you want to skip all those steps just send the bootanimtion to me here in this thread and I will resize it for you.
:good::goodon't forget to hit thank :good::good:
