i just modified the zip to be able to flash it to our defy ! Update script from marhensa
do post the difference if any !
in my opinion the sound is more crisp and with a little enhancement in bass!

I flash the zip on WIUI, no problems...
...but not really sure if the audio is improved. I'm testing it with the default defy headphones, I think there are no changes.
Anyways, thanks for uploading it! I was waiting for trying Beats Audio..
PD: Tested with La Grange - ZZ Top

installed it on wiui hybrid. can't feel a thing different. seems like placebo effect

How about CM9 290212 build for defy+? will it work?

How i know if this mod is working? i mean, is there a service, or proccess working in background?

it might be a placebo effect for me though..
but it seems i notice some differences..

I just modified this zip with some another update zip which we usually flash for defy.. why do you think i will take yours..oh cmon..i was just helping ..no problems..u are also a noob my dear member haha..
As quarx said it is not for our chip maybe it is for qualcomm..
Ive also notice some change but maybe they are not that huge..

yep... great, working great.. played via mah laptop.. cool sound even winamp is not good enough..

i flashed it on hyper droid...but does not feel any difference on music man !

Works in fine CM10 A3. But Sony Xperia Player didn't get installed when flashing zip.. Not sure why.

HERE I PRESENT YOU MY MODULES, WHICH FIXED THE LOW VOLUME BUG IN HEADPHONES IN CM7....
NOTE: THIS WAS TESTED ON psychogame's alpha 4.
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
THE METHOD THAT I FOLLOWED:
1. EXTRACT THE "headset_ko.zip"
2. EXTRACT THE ALPHA BUILD OF psychogame
3. COPY THE "bcm_headsetsw.ko"
4. PASTE IT IN /system/lib/modules/*here*
5. REBUILD THE ZIP AND FLASH THROUGH CWM

OR YOU CAN FOLLOW THIS, ALTERNATIVE METHOD
1. EXTRACT THE "bcm_headsetsw.ko" FROM "headset_ko.zip" FROM ATTACHMENTS.
2. FLASH psychogame's alpha BUILD
3. pust the "bcm_headsetsw.ko" TO "/system/lib/modules
4. GIVE PERMISSIONS -- "rw-r--r--"
5. REBOOT

nope. psychogame's alpha 2.2 changelog is you are referring i guess.
in it, he says that head phone is working, also, whitexp's build, headphone is working,
but this has no relation with it, this is the fix for LOW VOLUME of headphones i hope i made many of the people clear,

I used it's each and every part
That bug is already solved
NO LOW VOLUME BUG

If u have a frnd who also has galaxy y,
Flash psycho's alpha 5 on both phones
push this module one one of them and feel the difference... just tried it a few moments ago.. trust me it feels awesome if u are a metal addict

Ok some posts we're way over the line.
But i think percy has a point.
Because if we could know what modules triggered this fix it could be a Window of opportunity for other developers to tap on since it could be related to the media rendering modules.
It could benefit the whole community thus a step closer to a stable cm7.
This post is in compliance with the national potato safety regulation.

[Q] Loud, distorted noise when operating touchscreen.

Hi XDA-members,
I built a stock based custom ROM called Termin. Had some trouble with the updater-script, but I managed to sort it out. I flashed it an hour ago, and it booted perfectly fine. My problem is, that when I try to insert my PIN-code and when I tap a number the most distorted loud noise I have ever heard comes out my phone's speakers. I can operate the touchscreen but the noise is just too horrible to endure. Now, I know it's not my speakers, and I haven't deleted anything in the system>media folder. On stock it's fine.
Any suggestions or should I try to start from a clean base(not really a problem, but more a minor annoyance)?
To Xperia E users: yeah, it's finished. Just sorting out the bugs like this one.

Dude. Even more thanks. It worked! I have removed every file from PureAudio, and now I get the stock Xperia sound.
Fixin some things, and I'll ad some mods. Expect the ROM to be uploaded tomoorw afternoon
