Frontier Gunners... Locked only to Japan but available here - Xperia Play Themes and Apps

friend sent me the market link and it was only for Japan, so I asked him to get me the apk. Here it is ya'll.... I dont think its optimized to work with the controls but wanted to share.
http://www.box.com/s/54to3cdgllkihtq8eak2
and just in case this is not from me, found this link from another thread just now on XDA
http://depositfiles.com/files/xedg40rqa
That link is from this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=23120095#post23120095
again, enjoy!!

Whoaa..downloaded it and install it..
Seems nice with dual language inside the game.
Online with P2P connection (recently played with korean and japs)
When i slide the gamepad, the game force close into the menu.
Seriously, the game itself is really difficult.
Nice share sir..

Is it normal for it to want access to my google account ?? Great find but I denied it. Just want to no ??

WOW!! Looks great and D-Pad is working, maybe the buttons could be optimized with gamekeyboard.

Psx4droid 3.0.0 released! Open source + free!

For those of you who don't follow Zodttd on twitter, you may be interested to know that he has just released PSX4DROID v3.0.0 for free on his website! This is his newest release!
For those of you who don't know, the android market has been cracking down on emulators lately (or so it would seem).
Happy to see Zodttd is still supporting his loyal fans!
Pick it up here:
http://t.co/0KaEnVe
edit: the shortened links are what Zodttd posted on his twitter post. I'm posting them out of courtesy since I know devs like to track their hits. The links point to zodttd.com so you can be assured they're legit.
(you can find the source here: http://t.co/joV6UCw )
hey im kinda of a noob with emulators but what i have to use to get the roms with this
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA Premium App
Hi,
Yes, due to Google suspending my Market and Checkout accounts, I have simply made it available as an APK package on my site. Direct links are fine. I should of used bit.ly to get some click stats, but I landed up using Twitter's URL shortener by default.
So now psx4droid is free, compliant and based on open source, and improving fast.
You can post the direct link to the APK install package for psx4droid 3.0.0 and sources if you'd like.
Note that psx4droid 3.0.0's save states are no longer compatible with any previous version. If you have any quick saves, you should run 3.0.0 with quick load OFF so it won't crash on load of a new game.
There may be some bugs with the settings panel / virtual controller issues. If so, I'll work them out.
This version is performing great!
Just wish I could place it on Android Market.
Thanks,
ZodTTD
Thank you so much for the release!
hmm is the download link down? It's making my browser freeze so i can't download the .apk.
Thanks for the reply zodttd!
Like you said, I've noticed some issues with the virtual keypad but the emu runs great otherwise! Looking forward to future releases!
thanks this is a great program
Great work, thanks

This is epic!!!
This is really a very nice emulator!
Def trying this!
Thanks
Crashes immediately
Once I tried an old lite version on my Desire (2.2), everything works well. The new release crashes immediately when a rom is selected. Configuring the virtual gamepad crashes as well.
Runs fine on my mT4G (besides the mentioned settings issue), however it dies on my Xoom when I try to run a game. Logcat here.
can u guys tell me what rom finder are u all using idk how to run the psx4 any help would be great plz
Congrats dev. Very smart thing to do as I paid for 2 of your psx apps. Hope you get back on the market soon.
Really appreciate your work. Thanks a lot

Disgaea for Android (free) (help needed)

I just saw the news of a release of a very popular game, Disgaea for Android (Free!).
However, it is limited to Japanese GMO customers only, and cannot be found in the Market.
The GMO link is here: http://gmo-game.com/app/351/
News article here: http://www.4gamer.net/games/133/G013303/20110516005/
The full game is free to download and play, and I believe many people have heard of/played the game before and got addicted for hundreds of hours and wouldn't mind playing it again! Also in this version, you get to use Prinny as the main character!
Would be great if someone can get the .apk for us to experiment whether it works and whether it needs hacking for it to work. Anyone?
Thanks in advance!
P.S. Sorry that I can't be of much help, I just thought with more brains and resources it might be easier to get the game to reach a wider audience. I am willing to translate all the strings to English when it's available, and even do graphic editing if the translation requires it.
Edit: Wonderful guide to getting the game by jtkg and getting it to play by Rahkaral!
Credits to jtkg:
You can't download it from the market (the google official one) in Japan too.
You have to get the GMO market app (ttp://ap.gmo-game.com/apk/G-GEE.apk) and install it from there.
And also it's not an apk.
When you download the game, the data is copied to
"/mnt/sdcard/RuntimeApps/351" and you need to launch the game via the GMO market app.

Hello everyone,
been tinkering on this for the better part of the day (during some downtime at work) and finally resolved the secret to making it install.
This is tested and working on a Samsung Galaxy S (Vibrant). [Rooted of course]
Changed Build Prop:
ro.product.model: SO-01B
ro.product.brand: docomo
That would be an Xperia X10 spoof.
Install and Profit!

I too would love to have this.
Gonna give you my thanks, man. I was a major fan of the Disgaea series (I even played Soul Nomad!) and this is big news for me. If ever there is a port of this game, my first request is to have an international, english-dubbed version of it.
They better port that in english.

Sorry for my bad English.
And I'm new here so it seems I can't post a link yet.
So please add "h" to the link.

As you can see by my avatar picture, I'm a big fan of Soul Nomad. You're automatically awesome for liking/playing it.
Anyway, I installed GMO, but apparently the Milestone is unsupported - I get an error saying <moonrunes> Milestone </moonrunes>, and then the install button reads "Uninstallable".
I might see if the Magic will download it (maybe it's a processor thing?). EDIT: GMO crashes when opening on the Magic, so it looks like I'm out of options, unless I can borrow my boss' Wildfire. Damn it all.
Seems as though you need a compatible device, not 100% sure but after registering on the site and downloading the game center and trying to install via the QR code I get an error message in Japanese referencing my phone model, I'm using the g2x
yeah, attempted to install but it says uninstallable, it looked at my model or os saying its a gt-i9100
Im running a samsung captivate using Continuum v5.4.1

Resolved- How to install Disgaea with a little build.prop magic.

I tried GMO on my Desire but it crashed when opening, too.
Actually you can find some GMO games in the Market (by faking a Japanese provider), but you still need a GMO account to play any of them. Judging from their terms of service, it seems that they don't accept users from outside Japan. (I didn't try registering, though.)
Sorry for my poor English.

This allows the game to install correct?
You need the GMO Game Center, (In order to download the game, just to be clear this is NOT on the android market as an APK)
Do the build-prop,
Allows Download,
Install,
Play.
I just finished the first couple of tutorial maps. (Which are handy if you don't know a lick of Japanese too, as they highlight the appropriate button for the tutorial, (teaches move, attack, throw, etc)
Mine just gives the same error, except now it says SO-O1B instead of Milestone.

Ack, sorry, I made a mistake.
ro.product.model: SO-01B
That is,
Letter S
Letter O
Dash
Number Zero
Number One
Letter B
-- I originally copied that as SO-"O"1B
I apologize, I was overly excited.
That worked! Downloading now. Thanks for your help!

Thanks again guys!
Now... anybody up for a translation project? I can't do much in the technical side but I'll gladly lend my help for the translation side!

Guiz - my first app

hello!
i just published my first android app.
its a quiz, you get two words, for example "Madonna" and "Bill Gates" and you have to guess what gets more search results on google.
for now its free, but in the future i will be charging for it.
so this is the chance to get it for free
market.android.com/details?id=com.Guiz
EDIT:
added screenshot
Cool concept!! Any screenshots?
Tried it. Cool idea, but after about 20 words noticed that all words were nothing I would ever google..
madone via Tapatalk (Xperia Arc)
Link made clickable, for the lazy.
Nice game idea.
Love the idea! I'll check it out !
For what reason does your app need to know my location, sms, personal data and calls?
nice app.
Could you please :
- add a manual text input feature to compare between 2 sets of words ?
- do some serious privacy permission clean up. The only thing needed is web access. (fortunately there are a couple of watchdog programs available such as permission denied or LBE out there which do a brilliant job, but still...)
Congrats on making the front page. Found this cuz of that. Great game idea, too!!

How to access G-Gee, Square Enix, etc - Easy 3 Step Method

This thread was originally in the Xperia PLAY Themes/apps section and was moved to the Android Apps Developement section, but after being moved it was not updating on the Xperia play thread (obviously... hence moved) however I wanted to bring it back to the XPlay section as well for others to use as this involves a modified build.prop for xperia plays.... anyway if you are interested in read below....
K, so I reflashed my phone and proceeded to repeat what I did to gain access to the G-Gee Market and Square Enix. It is not really easy to do.
Download this zip with all 3 G-Gee Markets, install each one but the one you want to really use is the GameBox installer.
After they are all installed download the modded build.prop I used (its from my Xperia PLAY, if on another phone just copy the SO-01C to all references of Build, Model, etc)
Modded Build.prop
Save as a text document, backup your old build.prop (system/build.prop) Then copy the modded build.prop to the same place as your original.
http://db.tt/1RQUKz4C
Next you need to download/install Market Enabler and set it to Japan - Docomo, reboot your phone.
Market Enabler:
http://db.tt/OWdfOWX6
After the above steps are done and you have rebooted. Open Market Enabler and set it again to DOCOCMO, then copy this link to your gmail and send it to your self.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...ggee.gameboxam
Open the email and select the link and select Play Market to open, it should then be able to let you download the G-Gee ticket for the game from the Android Market, it should hten automatically open the GameBox installed and let you download nd install the King of Fighters.
I have done this same process 3 times now and each time it worked.
I've never heard of G-Gee, what's it for? Also what do I get from square Enix?

G-Gee is a Korean/Japanese Android Market.... G-Gee most notably has Digaea (free) and King of Fighters ($5)

good to see the thread back, it never should have been moved in the first place since it is specific to the Xperia Play and its gaming applications.
It was great to see Final Fantasy 1 finally start working, one theory I have is that it had an english mode already built into it.
Thanks for the guide, the games these markets come with english language options?
Sent from my R800a using XDA
It is a mixed bag. I have downloaded 8 games and half are straight Japanese... the other half are a mix of Japanese and English. The only game that allows multi languages is King of Fighters which supports Chinese (traditional & simplified), English, Japanese.

I started to consider that too... especially when the menus are a mix of English and Japanese it really makes you wonder..... its got to be in there. Anyways.... also after it was moved to android app development got people mostly with galaxy s2's asking why it wasn't working for them. Only 1 person with a Sammy phone got it to work. Everyone else's g-gee market kept saying "unspecified" for the type of phone they had. And the only thing I can think of is they have not gone through and changed their build.prop completely to look like a Japanese phone. So its being seen as a device with one brand and another model and its getting g confused......the g-gee market that is.....I'm always confused.....kidding. anyways it was my request to move this thread and I brought it back after all my messages saying its not working. I do not have any other phone but my xperia play and again my only clue to the unspecified issues are not modifying the build right. Any ideas?
Oh and its good to have it back here.. ......
Oh and another.... doubt its possible but would really love to have FF1 with full screen and xperia controls.... but wishful thinking probably. I have a better chance of being the president of Nova Scotia. Kidding.
Sent from my SO-01D using xda premium
And for those wondering ... just because I brought the thread back to here doesn't mean I'm abandoning the previous one I had moved..... it was my choice to have it moved so that makes me responsible to the other thread if someone has questions. Maybe I will post a link to the transferred one to here so it's all in one spot. Maybe....
