Hi there! I just got bored about fiashing recovery image with some strange scripts like install-recovery. So,I decided to make some flashable Zips files with ALL RECOVERYs built for LG P500. Available recoverys:

What mainly are the benefits of flashing these Zips instead of using install-recovery?
No bad block errors
No errors at all.
Zips are unsigned,untested and are working with AmonRa and CWM.
HERE YOU CAN CHOOSE WHAT RECOVERY YOU WANT TO DOWNLOAD.
AmonRa users: Disable signature verify before flashing or you'll get an error/fastboot.

Guys flash the given zip. Its great and the new recovery is even cooler and greater. Now you can flash from any folder on sd. Continuous scroll is supported now.

I dont see any solution there for people that havent backup their phones with nandroid or titanium.
is there any other way to roll back from ICS to GB? :S

If you have no backups and aren't rooted you have to odin the stock tar. I recommend using the sammobile tar which includes baseband and does not trip the counter

Can you please recomend me a good Custom GB rom? other than http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1377087

I just put the GB rom and modem on my sd card and flashed in cwm after darkside wipe isn't that good enough or is there other stuff that needs to be reverted?
I reverted to mhx 3.1 superlite.

Yes, after a brief stint on ICS, I have returned to nexusmod. The author of that has also released a beta ICS build. But for now im staying on a stable gingerbread build.

Same here, i installed ICS the leaked version and everything was fine but when i started browsing the web & using facebook my battery was dying like crazy!! i think it was consumming 1% per minute or worst!

Does anyone know if you flash this does it clear the entire memory or just the os partition. I have flashed many Roms before on other android devices but all those had an SD card and with the unlocking process I know the entire data was erased.

ok, thanks. Now I tried downloading both versions and installing via clockwork mod and it aborts. Saying status 0. Any ideas?

Ah OK I'll have a look into it tonight for you, its probably the updater script if you want you can try use the META folder from another ROM (nexus 7 ROM) and see if it flashes until I fix it later

It appears it not just your downloads I can't seem to flash any Roms. I tried to flash other ROM and it keeps giving me same error. It almost seems like it can find the zip files on SD card to flash and then it goes to flash and can no longer find the file. Anyone have any insight into this?

first off seems D/L is not working but I dint think there were so many issues with ROM. We definetly need a solid Stock ROM with ROOT (4.1.1), Hope its works when I flash

you need a newer/updated SU installer. 4.3 has some new security features so an old SU wont work.

Thank you so much! So from what I understand, this is 4.3 and all it requires is flashing it through a custom recovery and then installing the SuperSU you linked to above and everything will work fine? I was wondering if custom kernels that are designed to work with Sense-based as well as GPE-based ROMs would actually work with that one? They work on GPE 4.2 just fine, like Bulletproof and ElementalX.

fail rom
My install using TWRP failed also. Have to reverted back to stock AT&T Sense ROM for now.

[Q] Kernel on the stock rooted 4.3

Is there any kernel I can flash for the stock rooted 4.3 sense 5.5? I'm s-off already. If not, are we going to get one?

There is a kernel included in the stock rooted rom, and it works fine with paid apps if that is your concern.
