How can I connect my TF101 to my Macbook now? It doesnt work, even with the apposite application on the Mac (Android File Transfer).
I'm running Revolver4, but it was the same on stock. Tried with and without Debug USB.
Thank you in advance!
Update: it doesnt connect with my Windows partition too, so I cannot copy an other ROM (I havent got dock nor an SD card).
One thing I dont understand: what should be the difference between Debug USB on/off? Shouldn't one be able to view TF101's files with Debug USB disabled too?

Hi all,
I just connected my TF101 to transfer some files (its rooted with ARHD 3.2.1) and windows 7 fail to recognize it.
They find it as Transformer TF101 but with error. I tried to install the Asus ADB drivers but still doesnt open so i can copy some files i want....
Any suggestions ?
Do you need ASUS sync (usb transfer) or full ADB. You can try downloading the android-sdk from google here: http://developer.android.com/sdk/index.html
Also make sure 'USB-Debugging' is checked in the developer menu on the TF.
I dont need asus sync, i have disabled it also, and debuging is on. (yes i only need the usb transfer)
I already have tried the SDK, but still nothing.
I only need it to transfer some files (i ve already rooted it).
For the moment i can only do it via wifi but i cant see my SD on wifi and there is also no mass transfer.
My device manager recognizes it as Transformer TF101, but even when i manualy try to update the drivers with the Asus, i get that they arent compatible
What version of the drivers are you trying to install? Im using 1.0.76, and they work fine on win7 ult. x64
I tried the official http://support.asus.com/download.aspx?SLanguage=en&p=20&m=Eee+Pad+Transformer+TF101 and google SDK also...
Still even when i try to manually update them from the folder i unziped the drivers nothing happens.
Hi all,
the Acer 510 contains the Stockrom, which is rooted and CWM is installed. If I connect the the Tablet via USB with W7, I can see the internal and external SD-Card. If I connect the same tablet under Linux (Suse 11.4), the tablet / filesystem is unknow and could not be mounted
Normaly I see every Android Device under Linux and can mount this one without any problems , so that I 've an access to the SD-Cards.
Does someone has seen the same issue and hopefully has a solution for this one?
Since ICS the protocol used is MTP and linux is not familiar whith it
take a look at this article, it will help you even if it's written fo ubuntu

Tablet doesn't use Mass Storage mode but MTP which you have to setup on your Linux machine.
Ubuntu tutorial (required packages should also work on other distros)
Alternative (I've never heard about this before TBH)
THX !
I'll try it on evening and let you know
Before you proceed in futher steps, did you try connecting the tablet to the Linux machine with USB debugging off? (Win XP for example, cannot use the A510 as MTP if usb debugging is on.)
Even if you get it to work, don't expect somethign good. The Support for MTP is really bad in most Linux distros. probably because MTP is a Microsoft thing. I got it to work once and all i could do was copy small files in already existing folders. Creating folders or copying large files always resulted in a force unmount.
I agree with you that why I only use FTPserver instead now
Simplest alternative to MTP- QtADB, I know it wasn't updated for over a year but worked for me (various 2.1-4.0 firmwares and hardware)

wifi file transfer from the play store is another option.
I cannot for the life of me get ADB to recognize my new TF700. I've tried using the naked drivers, along with the ones Windows installs by default.
Android SDK is up to date.
I've searched every thread high and low and cannot figure this out.
I didn't have nearly this much trouble with my TF101.
I'm at my wits end, so any help is appreciated.
TF700 is new out of the box, with Android 4.1.1
USB debugging is ticked in settings right.
Look in windows device manager see if it shows as USB mass storage device.
If not remove usb from the PC then plug into a different port on the PC.
Also sometimes the sync software from Asus will force Windows to recognize the tablet.
Is there a micro card in the tablet?
If so unplug the tab remove the card after unmounting then plug the tab back into the usb and see if it shows up.
USB Debugging is checked.
Device manager shows "ASUS Transformer Pad TF700T" and "ASUS Android Composite ADB Interface"
I'm about to try the Asus Sync trick.
No MicroSD card is in the tablet. Should I try putting one in?
EDIT:
No difference with MicroSD card
No difference after installing ASUS Sync

Yes try the microSD card...
Can you uninstall the Composite ADB Interface and reboot the PC then connect the tab again?
Edit:
Are you on a Windows 7 desktop?
Just in case drivers for Asus tabs
ADB
ADB and fastboot wouldn't pick up mine, either, but I got it working by using another USB port on my box. Even using a simple extension cable meant that I'd lose connectivity, so make sure you plug it in directly, too.

Uninstalled Composite ADB Interface, rebooted, connected tab and used the drivers you provided.
Still no luck.
Yes, Windows 7 64-bit desktop.

I've tried multiple USB ports, even 3.0 ports, all with no avail. No extensions or hubs being used, plugging directing into motherboard.
EDIT:
Again, it's on Android 4.1.1, is this the issue?
Build Number is 10.4.4.23
EDIT 2:
Downgraded to Android 4.0.3, Build 9.4.5.30
Was able to root using kangaroot on my MacBook Pro
Still no luck with Windows 7 though

Windows can be stubborn as far as this.
Asus PC Suite may be able to overwrite the problem driver.
Glad to see the MAC came thru though :good:
Hi there!
I used to be able to connect my OPO to my W7 PC. Now I cannot. My OPO original cable is out of service so I have been using a samsung charger and it has worked fine before. Plug in, popup shows, and I can access MTP files. I am aware charge is default and when connect you have to select MTP. But now it isn't even charging.
Ever since I updated to Lineage Marshmallow, I cannot do it. I was able to do it on my work laptop (W10) but on my home PC (W7), cannot anymore. So not sure what I am missing. The same cable is used for both.
-Have Root with usb debug on
-google universal driver installed
-pic of device manager below but cannot browse my phone to install (not recognized)

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Install mtp drivers(http://www.driverscape.com/download/android-mtp) and update the unknown device with those drivers.
You should always use original cable btw.

I can only get the tablet to appear as a device on my pc with debug enabled, at which point it works fine.
But really, if prefer not to have debugging enabled for file transfers to work.
I'm wondering if I've got a driver issue as the pc seems to see something in non-debug mode, just doesn't load it as a device to browse files (yes I do have the correct usb mode set on the tablet - I've tried them all!)
I would appreciate some advice. I'm on the latest zui13.
Thanks
Matt
