HI Guys
so here is the thing , everything was working fine, until i flashed ICS the stock rom with CWM, right after flashing my pc was unable to recognize my Transformer as a USB device.
Every time i connect it my transformer freezes for a few seconds and then nothing happens, and on my computer screen it doesn't even recognize a new USB drive.
I tried to connect it to two different computers and the same thing happens which means the problem is with my transformer
Afterwards i Flashed Revolver rom but i still have the same issue
Any one had the same problem? any possible fix for this problem
Edit: Charging Works fine
Thanks
Update: Strangely when i tried to connect the USB when i am on the recovery menu the computer was able to recognize my transformer, ADB was installed but not the MTP so the problem is not a cable or computer problem something much be wrong
I used ViprerMod to root my transformer and i am using Rogue CWM
Thanks
Just flash this update on top of your ROM

Slight hi-jack but I have a question about this.
I updated OTA from scratch (meaning a full and complete wipe). I plugged my tablet into my PC and it downloaded all the drivers. Great!.
I have my Titanium backup folder on the Internal (for some unknown reason why I did that) and I want to put it on my External. I plug the tablet into my PC and the media device icon pulls up. I click on it and both drives pull up and I can open them. Now I want to take my Titanium folder from the internal and put it on the external with just drag and drop. So I drag and drop, only when I click on the folder in the external (tried it to a temp folder on my PC desktop too) it shows as empty. I have USB debugging on and MTP is checked. I have also been able to transfer pix, .zips and other misc files over while inside the tablet with Root Explorer, it is just that the Titanium folder will not cross over for some reason.
Ideas? I did the OTA so not sure that flashable bootloader.zip will work. I am just missing something and I can't figure out what it is. I know they did away with Mass Storage mode with HC and not ICS. How can I get it over there?

Back then I use to use Root Explorer and copy the whole folder over to external sd card. Now TB have the option to backup directly to external sd card.
Ya, but my dumba$$ pulled a copy of my TB from my phone with all my backups (PowerAmp, Jango Music, At-Bat,...) and installed it on the external when I first got the tablet and then copied it over to the internal (because I didn't know there was such a threat of losing internal on this tablet) once I got a new external I wanted to move it back.
I know that in TB you can set the backup destination to wherever you want it to be, but this is an existing backup folder that I am wanting to move. Wonder if I can put it in my dropbox (900mb- but can be trimmed down for some apps that I know don't work and general cleaning house) and pick it back up to my PC and then transfer it over to external?
Edit:: I used Root Explorer to try and copy it over and let it run all night and when I woke up it was still cycling the icon in the center of the screen, 6hrs later.

Thank you very much for your advise , But Doesn't that mean that i will go back to stock rom and i won't be able to use the benifits of the revolver rom?
One other thing i should mention is that i already tried flashing this stock rom once before i flashed revolver rom and i had the exact same problem
i mean first flashed ICS CWM flashable >> USB not recognized
Then i tried with the ICS revolver rom >> Same thing USB not recognized by the computer
All what happens is that my Transformer freezes for a few seconds and nothing shows up on my computer
It sucks not being able to connect your device to the computer i mean it is kind of a deal breaker
Any ideas?

Flash the upgrade link he linked to above for your version. Should clear it up.
Solved:
After Updating to the Latest revolver Rom 1.3.1
Everything Went Back to normal , USB is recognized by the computer
I think this update solved the Issue
According to Gnufabio's Latest Changelog:
Added bootloader to solve usb problems for some people
Dont really know what the Bootloader is but Probably this is what was missing

Hello everyone.
I have a transformer without a ROM on it. All that is on it at this time is Roach's CWM. Therefore, it does not detect my sdcard. How do I push Rogue's CWM into the internal storage so that I can load a ROM onto the tab?
Sorry for the stupid question, but I've been trying to figure out APX and APB modes and it hasn't been working. Not even sure if that is what I need to do. All I know is that I need to get access to my actual SD card so I can flash appropriately.
Thanks for your help.
At this point you need to get ADB working. If you have ADB you can push file to the internal storage.
As for APX, only if you have SBK v1 (B6O and older plus some B7O)
How do I run ADB when I don't have a ROM on the tablet to enable USB debugging?

IIRC (Not 100% sure) but USB de-bugging is now on by default with ICS.
At least for me when I installed ICS for the first time, went in to turn it on and
it was already on (it was after a full wipe so I know it wasn't from previous setting). Anyway it doesn't hurt try.
That's what I am saying though. I do not have any ROM on the tab. It is wiped clean with only CWM on it.

There's been other with the same situations and they pushed a ROM file to internal using ADB.
What about your serial number? If you have an SBK v1 you can use NVFlash.
Either to flash a new ROM or a new recovery that read external sd
I'm downloading NVFlash now in hopes that I can do just that. I'll let you know. Thanks for your help.
adb is enabled independently in recovery. I'm pretty sure it is enable by default in recovery. You should just try it, if Windows tells you something about bad drivers then it's probably enabled. If Windows tells you something about bad mojo, then you have other problems.
OK I nvflashed and have things up. I should be able to go from here. Thanks!
I couldn't get ADB to recognize my tab, so I just nvflashed. Oh well...
Hi
Here are the nvflash versions for the .27 update. For those that wanna go back to stock for warrenty or have a dual boot this can come in handy.
I've tested the WW version on my on transformer and it worked (got a B70 with SBK1) created the US and TW version the same way with the same con-fig files so it should work! LET ME KNOW IF IT WORKS FOR YOU
But remember I'm not responsible for any bricks flashing my causes and you do this on your own risk.
Quick guide:
1. Connect cable to computer and turn device on while holding down Volume Up. Screen will stay off, but USB will come on.
2. Find “APX” device in Device manager and update driver, then point it at usbpcdriver directory from the zip.
3. Run download.bat.
I'm hosting them on my own website with a 1gbit connection:
http://www.xdafileserver.nl/
a direct link to the folder containing the files: http://goo.gl/OsTbW
PS: these are a bit late i know been very busy! but perhaps somebody can benefit from these! Older versions still are available on the site itself
It's fantastic, thanks man.
Thank's a lot!!!
Hi, Korumera,
I would like to use your NVFLASH to reinstall ww9.2.1.27 on my ASUS TF101, which currently has ww9.2.1.27 with damaged google play store and gmail. Would you please help me with the following questions:
1. Does the nvflash delete the old ROM before flash new ROM.
2. Does it wipe out user app and data?
3. Does it delete files on plug-in sdcard?

NVFlash is one of the lowest-level parts of the firmware. It completely wipes out everything on your internal storage to reset you back to a clean state. (The *external* MicroSD Card shouldn't be wiped, but I would remove it anyway, just to be safe.)

I've nvflashed many times. The MicroSD is safe, it doesn't get touched. As said, everything on internal gets wiped, repartitioned and reformatted.
Anyone have a mirror please? Bricked my TF101 pretty badly (stuck in APX).

Try and reboot the phone and the PC. Then reconnect the phone to the PC with USB debugging disabled.
If not maybe check your PC drivers.
You could also use adb to push the ROM.

It's possible that it could be the ROM but I'd think it has something more to do with your PC if it was working before.
Do you know of some update or change recently on the PC?

I have few suggestions. If you are trying to copy zip file to phone, then dont do it. Put all the files you need in a folder and then copy to phone.
if it still gives error then try to copy to Downloads folder.
I had issues copying rar,zip files to phone. Due to filename length sometimes it doesnt allow you to copy.
Zaib
When i had such an issue i put in the folder i copied the files to a ".nomedia" file. You can find this kind of files on your device storage, copy your files to this location. I think what happens is that the phone is trying to index the files and fail. The ".nomedia" file prevent it from indexing.
Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
I heard somewhere that temporarily changing the filename extention to something else, e.g., ".bak", will solve the problem.
Why not just download it straight to the phone?

Hi guys
It has been a long time since my phone has been this bad.
So last night I go to charge my phone because I had ZERO battery. So I turned it on and then plugged it in. The phone booted fine but then I noticed that the screen was not shutting off. I even tried hitting the "Go to sleep" button from the pull down menu and nothing happened. I also realized the phone was not loading my calendar. When I went into the file manager it didn't show SDCARD 1 or 2.
I decided to clear the memory (dalvik + cache) = SAME PROBLEM
I did a factory restore = same problem
Finally I cleared the system = now i have no OPERATING SYSTEM ON THE PHONE
I went to the external sd card and tried to install the latest version of OMNI....IT SAYS IT CANT READ FROM THE SD CARD.
I also tried to copy the file from external sd to internal sd card and it says FAILED
I don't' know what to do...
I am using Team Win Recovery Project 2.6.3.0
I have the latest omni rom on my external sd card. I can see it but install fails.
Please help :crying:

Calm down dear. Same happened with me. I formatted /system and find that I don't have any operating system in my mobile.
Just pluggin your mobile in recovery mode to your PC. transfer the file-> Flash the ROM-> Gapps -> BINGO..
BTW, wrong area for creating a thread.
Don't worry. Do what D™ said.
Alternatively you can use "adb sideload" method. I used it once with Philz recovery. In sideload method, you won't need to copy the file in Sdcard. File existing on pc can be directly flashed. This would help if you still face problems copying file to Sdcard. Search it on google. You will find steps for it.
A bit more clear please...

Download Stock Indian ICS
Btw, adb sideload method is as follows.
0. Install adb for windows (assuming you have windows). (There shouldn't be any driver missing)
1. Enter into sideload mode in recovery
2. Open cmd in computer with the directory in which zip file is kept. (shift + right click -> open command prompt here would do)
3. Enter adb sideload xyz.zip
Thats it.
I've tried it with TWRP recovery in my friend's phone. It didnt work. But When I tried with Philz recovery, It worked well.
Anyway, if you are finding it complicated, flash stock ics.
Edit : Did you try "mount usb storage" in recovery? because it is required to do. else computer won't recognize your device.
success!
OK so I successfully flashed via ODIN....Can I directly flash omni now? I am assuming yes...Can I flash it through ODIN?
Also can you recommend any good versions of ICS? It is really quite a bit faster than omni...

you can't flash omni via odin. Flash Philz or TWRP first and then flash omni.

Hey Guys,
Brand new to XDA and new to messing with my phone in anyway, I looked through some threads, but am not sure if I can mess something up worse by not following the right steps,
I basically bought a used phone on craigslist, AT&T LG G FLEX 2 - LG-H950 and when I factory reset it, many of the default apps are not installed, cannot use my calendar and the phone is just a little off all together.
Not sure if the phone is still rooted or if the factory reset cleared it, and I am all together worried that the only reason the kid sold it to me was because he messed it up and couldn't fix it and just pawned it off to my dumas
I know its frowned upon to start new threads when the answers are out there, but i need this for work ASAP and if I screw it up and cant use it all Ill have to go back to my work iPhone (last resort, i hate it)
I started to follow hyelton's video http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2785089
but got cold feet when i couldnt find my exact model the h950
It is currently on the android 5.0.1 and when i tried the update before i reset it, it said i couldn't update it something about the root. So i reset it and everything is the same as when I bought it on CraigList.
How do I get it back to square one, like it came in the box. I am interested in learning how to root and be in control of my own property, but I just want to get back to the start safely without bricking it so I can follow the forums and not feel so helpless.
im sorry if the first response to this just point me to another thread, but I will appreciate even that much guidance so at least i know i am headed in the right direction
Thanks a lot xda community

Factory reset won't remove root BTW. Recent Android phones seem to perform an integrity check prior to updating that fails when root is present.

Just read that to get the phone back to stock, then you'll be able to upgrade to 11x (5.1.1) and eventually 11z.

cool, thanks, one more question
I made an account with MEGA
downloaded the Flex2Tool 1.4.1 and unzipped
downloaded the system.img.gz
Started watching your video. however i am not bricked.
it has missing default apps and it says this device is suspected in rooting, software update is not available for rooted device.
so what is my first step after downloading these files. do i connect phone to my computer and open up the flex2tool and
select variant 1 which is H950 v10d etc
then do I select 1 , ( i do not need anything on the phone.)
or move straight to variant 2. restore unroot stock system.
if i do that next where do I put the system.img.gz file on my phone. anywhere in the internal memory and before or after I reset it?
sorry for all the questions and thanks for all the help. i am very new to doing anything besides calling or texting on my phone

1. You first need the LG USB drivers for the Flex to be installed
2. The system image file (gz) will have a .img file inside that's about 4GB, so unzip the one you downloaded with 7zip, preferably from a PC. Put the .img file on the root of the phone's internal memory before proceeding. You'll also want USB debugging enable and disable the verify over USB option
3. Once file is on phone you can continue with the tool, it will eventually go into download mode & show ## when finished

okay i did that but
I dont understand your last thing >>>>"You'll also want USB debugging enable and disable the verify over USB option"
when i have my usb connected the phone gives three options
1.Charge Phone
via usb
2.Media Sync (MTP)
3.Send images (PTP)
When restarting the recovery tool after img. has been installed to root of internal storage. do i just start program or do i need to turn off phone or reset it or just run it with the MTP

Like that. Check that the USB debugging icon shows in the notification area while USB is connected as MTP. Then you can start the tool. Be sure that the .img is present on the root(sdcard0) prior to letting the tool reboot the phone.

Did you remove the USB cord, then re insert after ##? The tool will reboot for you, and are you back into the OS now?

Probably a good idea. I think the previous owner was trying to delete some of the bloatware and didn't properly restore the phone before selling it, not sure if that was done purposely or not.

okay, i reset it but still dont have default apps
the default apps for the calendar which was my original issue still is not there, just a generic Android icon. because there is no default it will not allow me to sync calendars, also no default messaging app.
not sure if this just put me back to 5.0.1 which is where already was but i am still missing default apps to make the phone run smoothly,
any ideas on what i may have done wrong

Super noob
Looks like it came unzipped when I downloaded from Mega. Icon is a blank paper folded too right corner and reads system.img.gz and 1.6 gb which is what I copied to the root storage and then followed everything else and did it again starting from scratch and still have generic icon without the default apps like calendar, browser, and messaging. I'm trying tho. Been reading forums since last night with no luck
I do appreciate everyone's help tho,
And ace there is no calendar under apps

You need to unzip that file
.gz like .rar or .zip are different types of compression, so download the latest version of winrar or use 7zip, you need the system.img file (4gb)
