Just uploaded new application. Would like to see if I can get some feedback and reviews. I am not much of a UI developer, just what the apps do.
The app name is "Browser Password". You can find it on the market. You can just do a quick search for "ITGeek25", which is my developer name.
This app can be used to find a users username and password for different websites they visited. It will display then to you. You can also email the password list to yourself with the click of a quick button.
I made this mainly for people that are curious or wondering what their spouse is doing, basically trust issues.
This will display login info for Facebook, Gmail, Yahoo, etc.
Thanks
Wow, if your that paranoid about your other half.....

This app is against Google policy, and therefore already been removed.

That's funny, I just downloaded it from the market. Dev will test now.

Sounds like it would be useful to get usernames and pw's for sites you forgot that info from, or to create a master list easily. Would like to see a pw option to access the app though.

Im curious but as an example if I have twitter, plume, tweetcaster, and Seesmic all on my phone, and they all check twitter do they drain battery more then if I just had one twitter app.

Do you use the all? Unless your using them all at the same time for some reason it seems unnecessary to have them all running. It's ok if they are all installed and you pick and choose which one you use depending on whatever but its when they all are tying to access resources that you will run into batter issues.

I use them due to the different layout looks and feels and am trying to figure which one has the best functionality.
I know they all do the same thing, but it wasn't until now that it hit me, they all devour battery everytime they update themselves
I don't know why but I had this assumption that since they all dip into twitter they would kinda share the gathered info

Hi,
It depends on the app which you are installing. If you will install more animation based apps and more images based app then the battery will drain soon.
I did that at first too. I guess I was always good about removing the unnecessary apps before battery drainage was a problem. As far as a Twitter app goes I've been using twidroyd pro for quite a while now and I love it. The widget really pulls my home screen together. I switched to seesmic when Twitter banned twidroyd but I didn't like the widget. Is that a weird reason not to use an app?

Is the tapatalk forum app any good? It sounds like a cool idea but hasn't gotten many good reviews lately.

Xda app is based off tapatalk and I think its pretty good software. If my reg. forums supported tapatalk id prob buy the app

I use it for a few forums (Cyanogen, XDA, RiderForums) and it makes viewing them all easier since they're in one place.
Every once and a while it does hiccup though, it'll just hang on a screen for 5-10 seconds - for example when loading favorites - sometimes with a Force Close popup dialog box, but if you click 'Wait' instead of 'Close' I'd say 9/10 times it loads the page you want without restarting the app.
It's a lot like the XDA App: not perfect but convenient to have.

Mine has never force closed or freezed, has worked like a champ. Use it to visit Overclock.net, and it works very well. Definetly a winner if you visit a lot of forums on your phone.

XDA also supports Forum Runner, a similar app...you may like to try that as an alternative.
i was thinking about getting it but from the latest reviews i seen theres a new one that you will have to pay for also and other people said the update brought new problems
^ I downloaded version 1.4.2 yesterday on my motorola defy and it's working great. No issues whatsoever.

Probably the only complaint I have about my new phone is the lack of a 100% working Facebook experience.
The Facebook app seems to periodically just stop updating/issuing notifications for periods at a time.
TweetDeck works for awhile but then suddenly loses my settings.
Seemic doesn't automatically update/issue notifications at all plus I don't like the fact that the updates from multiple services aren't integrated in one stream like Tweetdeck does.
Not sure what other options I have at this point.
Mine seems to work fine

One of the things that worked super well for me on my old phone was "fim" but sadly, I dont think that its available for android, just winmo. Hopefully the devs decide to port it
If you go Settings->Account and Sync, is background data/auto-sync turned on?
also down where it says "Manage Accounts" make sure it's turned on also.
Yea dude mine us working fine. Check your settings?

yup and yup.
I actually have two facebook items listed here.. the first seems to be for that social updates its called Facebook SocialUpdates when I go in to its details. I have that turned off. When its turned on it generates session expired errors and when I gave it my login it won't accept the password (I've verified the pw is correct).
The other just says Facebook in its details and that is on.
edit: maybe there's another app its conflicting with... frustrating.

Are you running stock? If you're rooted, what I would try is making a back up of your apps using Titanium Backup and then uninstalling all your social networking apps that could be conflicting with it and then reinstall only facebook from the market and see if that helps. Again, that's just what I would try. Good luck
I'm running stock, but I think I'll take your advice anyway and uninstall all the social network apps... can't hurt.
I would have to agree with you, DarienA, of all three OS's, facebook for android is the worst. I mostly speak about the options available in this app version. I am a little biased as my previous phone had FB 2.0 and it was very nice, plus the push notifications were almost instant. Just my two cents on facebook for android.

My work phone is a Blackberry Torch. I've been spoiled by its FB app.

I would have to disagree. The fb app for iPhone is awful.

Besides the App needing the ability to delete comments, seeing all who like something and built in video uploads, I've not had issues with it.

Spoke too soon..they just added Video Upload and the ability to remove comments today...LOL.

How do you remove comments?
It'd be nice to be able to tag photos. I don't think you can do that with the iphone FB app either though.

Yeah you can. The app just never functioned for me properly on my iPhone. Never got my notifications, comments wouldn't load...I'm having much better experiences with the android app.

Well upon further investigation, you can only remove posts or comments that originated from the app...at least that's what I've seen so far.

could i get an example of why its so cool? I installed it and took a look at it and it just looked like a regular keyboard with a skin.
thanks.
I like it because to me it has great word prediction. When the settings are on rapid, and I can just tap away and not really worry about what I pressed, because it usually knows what I'm trying to type out. I haven't had much luck with my large fingers and any other keyboards. It also learn from your sms, facebook, and twitter.

No Swype = non-starter.
I liked it at first until it made ntt phone really slow. At some times it used more ram than android os.

No longer free so I'm closing this before people start whining about missing the offer and asking for apks...
Just thought I'd let you folks know about Contacts+ , the contacts app I'm using on my stock now.
It is totally packed with features (chiefly, integration with social networks, WhatsApp integration and smart ordering), looks absolutely lovely, and just elevates the Android experience when using a smartphone.
As an added bonus, it pimps out your SMS and call log appearance and functionality as well.
