[Q] HELP, x8 brick(dead) after successfully unlock bootloader. - General Questions and Answers

hello, everyone.
yes, im a noob.
Today i had successfully unlock my x8 bootloader by using a easy guide for unlocking the bootloader from this forum.[ http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1436957 ] By using the tools and following the step that the guide provide, im able to unlocked the bootloader after rooted my x8. But, then something happened, i have no idea what went wrong, and my x8 just shut down after the unlocking complete, and ever since then it's unable to power on. It's like it completely dead.
i know i have done it, it's unlock successfully.
Is this still considering bricked? or that it's fxxk, and now it's dead.!? im so frustrated right now, that i don't know what to do and how i can able to rescue my phone. Because according to the guide [ http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1011071 ] i found on this forum, my x8 seems to be the worst case here. cause most of people said that their phone still able to power on, but, just stop at the SE logo. And my doesn't charge or no response at all. byw ,the guide above, i can't download the rom. link doesn't work or something.
please, anybody have any idea, what went wrong, and how can i fix it?

[Q] Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo V with no unlocking possibility?

Hi all, I've just bought my first android phone, Xperia Neo V. Surfing I found what a root is, a ROM, etc. I just rooted my phone by using SuperOneClick, and it worked perfectly. But i wanted more. I wanted to install Cyanogen Mod, but I read I needed to unlock the bootloader. I looked at my phone's service info (by dialing *#*#7378423#*#*) and it says Bootloader unlock isn't allowed... I've searched in the forum about bootloader unlocking, testpoint, and stuff but I'm a bit lost... Can't I do anything to install a ROM?
Thanks in advance, and sorry for my bad english, corrections are welcome

It's nothing hard in testpoint method, just be careful and all will be ok.
So even it says boot loader unlock is not allowed, i can unlock it with test point?
no way
if it says not possible in service menu then not possible
used the roms which donot requires custom kernels!!!!

[Q] How Can I know if my device will be bricked

Hello I'm new here just got x10 mini pro two day back.My Question is : How can i know if my phone will get "Bricked" if i try to unlock its Bootloader ?
is there any way to know this?
Your device gets bricked, when you flash a bad ROM, firmware.
Brick
Check out this thread for instructions on how to unlock your phone:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1462278
As long as you follow the instructions and have a little patience, you should be fine. If you have any issues, post a message on xda and someone will help you through it!

If you do everything right and follow all the instructions carefully, 90% chances that it will not get bricked.

Unlock Bootloader...

Hey guys, im new to this forums so first of all, hello everybody.
so, i have this xperia l, and im not new to android devices, and i want to flash a kernel and a rom (more specificly, thunderzcap and ios7)
the problem is, i cant unlock my bootloader. In that screen after you type that weird combination of numbers in the dialer it says that i just cant do it (not allowed). I read it somewhere that i need my simlock code and something else, but according to what i know (and i dont want to believe t) this means it is permantly locked.
So anyone here knows how to solve it? I would defenitly love to unlock the bootloader so i can flash a kernel... or im stuck with my phone? i know there are other roms but it isnt the same thing...
Thanks in advance
If it's locked there is no going around it. So answer is no, if it says on the phone that bootloader is locked you can't unlock it. And there are NO roms that work with locked bootloader. For you to be able to flash a ROM on it you must have unlockable bootloader.
Sorry to give you bad news but that is way things are in your case.
Nothing you can do.................for now.
If we can get CWM going on the phone, we can flash packages. From there, if this can be extended to our phone, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2595238 then we can run CM variants on top of stock, and thus there is hope for the locked bootloader people, like myself, hopefully.

[Completed] [Q] Hisense U800 Infinity H6 restore ota

Hi, guys
I'm new to XDA so if this is the wrong subforum for this kind of question just tell me where to post it.
So I recently bought a new phone, a Hisense U800 Infinity H6.
I installed an OTA, and then rooted the device using Kingo on windows out of desperation (No other rooting method available).
When I try to do a OTA update now, I get a message in broken chinese-english that says:
"Your phone has been root or by brush! "
It's quite obvious that my rooting the phone revoked ota privileges. I've tried unrooting and it doesnt work, also, there is no recovery available for my device.
Is there a way I can restore this?
Any help would be appreciated.
%%%%%%
Additional Info:
Using Fast boot i was able to determine that the bootloader is unlocked.
Now i don't know if Kingo did this or if it was unlocked by default. I guess i should've checked this first.
BUMP
Or if anyone can tell me how to fix the ringing volume thats not responding to volume down. Either maximum or off.
Kitkat 4.4.2
Hi,
Thanks for using XDA Assist Since you have unlocked bootloader there is no way to relock it hence even if you flash stock chances are high system will detect bootloader unlock.
Good Luck!

Need help - "The system has been destroyed"

So today i decided to downgrade from V10.2.1.0.PEEMIXM to V10.0.11.0.PEEMIFH because i was having serious battery issues on V10.2.1.0.
I should have looked into it more carefully but nope, my dumb ass decided to install the older ROM version via the Updater in Settings and it bricked my device in the process.
Now my device is stuck on boot with the message "The system has been destroyed. Press power button to shutdown".
I have the global version with the bootloader locked. The only thing i have access to now is fastboot.
Any ways i can recover from this? Any help is greatlyyy appreciated.
You can try to unlock bootloader with fastboot mode, but i'm not sure that works because the system has been destroyed and your account has been destryed too. I think, the best for you, is to send it in warranty for repair. I have bricked a Redmi Note 4 like that and even with the test point method, he has never work again.

If you can find the fastboot version of the ROM you were on before downgrading just flash it with miflash

Fortunately for me i was able to unlock the bootloader. Likely because i registered my device since i first got it (about 1 month now), so i think i must have met the wait time requirement and it was fine that i couldn't access the system.

I tried miflash the first time with my bootloader still locked but miflash refused to work with a locked bootloader.
So i tried again with my bootlocker unlocked and it worked as expected.
Lesson learnt. All is well again and i'm able to keep my bootloader locked with the "flash_all_lock" option.
Thank you so much for all the help!

I am very sorry for reviving this thread, but if it's possible, can I ask you how you had managed to unlock the bootloader through fastboot? Now I am facing a similar situation to the one you once did, where my phone is stuck with the error message "The system has been destroyed" with a locked bootloader, and the only thing I have access to is Fastboot. I will greatly appreciate it if you could take some time to help me out because I have tried looking everywhere on xda forums and yours seems like the only one that is very similar to what I am currently facing now. Thanks so much.

Unless you have got unlock permission and linked phone to account you can't unlock.
Unlock like how you would normally - put the phone into fastboot, connect it to your PC, and run the mi unlock tool. For this to work, hopefully you have associated your device to a mi account and have met the unlock requirements ie. surpassed the waiting period. Otherwise you're out of luck as there is no other ways (that i know of) to register the device now as you can't get into the system.
As a last resort you can try opening up the back of the phone and flash new firmware using the test point if unlocking is not possible. I'm not sure how or where the testing point is located exactly, but it's a possible solution that i found while researching when my device was bricked. Good luck!
