Hey guys,
Im trying to update to ICS. I checked for the new firmware, it found it. So it started downloading it, then about half way through the download, it failed and said it was reverting back to its original state. So I restarted my device and I am trying to restart the update. When I go into settings and go to the check for updates tab, it says "there is a system firmware update for your device. Please check notifications"
Now when I open up notifications, nothing is there. Is there any way to restart the update? I cant seem to get it to retry.
Thanks, much appreciated.
Go to Settings - Applications - Manage - All - DMClient - Force Close then Clear Data
Next Settings - Applications - Manage - All - CMClient - Force Close then Clear Data
Reboot
Check for update.
Thank you so much!

I dont think it has anything to do with location data, i had a force close issue once but that was about it nothing more, do a restart, check in the settings under manage application of any ndication of a flash app maybe it got corrupted or something
Got it going had to delete my account on the tablet and set it up again, strange.
Just posted this in the Desire HD forum but I was hoping you might be able to help here...
I couple of days ago I installed the official RRU for Gingerbread but found it had too many issues with Wifi so I temp rooted it and downgraded it back to stock 2.2.
However I have been having serious issues with downloading apps off the Market since then. Whenever I try to do this I just get a 'Download was unsuccessful. Please try again' error message. I have tried to wipe the market, market updater and download manager cache but this does not fix the issue. I've also tried factory resets and that hasn't solved the issue either. The issue occurs on both Wifi and 3G. Strangely I can still install apps using the Market website (http://market.android.com).
I thought it may be an issue with the phone but after a factory reset I signed up to a new Google Account and I can download apps fine with that. However, I need to use my main Google Account as it has all of my contacts and app purchases on there.
Any help with sorting this out would be greatfully appreciated as it's becoming really frustrating for me.
I use Froyo. So in Froyo you have to go to:
Settings -> Applications -> Manage applications --> Market
And from there you just have to press the button " Clear data "
That is the fix for the Android Market " Download was unsuccessful "
I got the update for Info-eye 1.8.12. Then I disabled the app, which removed the update. Now when I re-enabled the app again, phone says that everything is updated. Settings->About phone->Software update->Refresh says that Info-eye updated but version is still the old one. What's New also doesn't help. Tried clearing Google framework cache but didn't help. Is there anyway I can force an app to update?
Thanks!
Ok found the solution - clear data on the following apps (Settings->Apps->ALL tab) Software update, Update service, and What's new. Then perform Settings->About phone-> Software update.
I downloaded and installed the new OTA update that showed up this morning. Since then I haven't been able to open the settings panel.
When I click on settings it closes immediately the I get a notification saying that "settings keeps closing".
Any help?
Me too ... thank you Samsung for this bullsh.. !
Hi everyone. I'm currently on Android 10 and unfortunately I inadvertently clicked the update from the notifications - I haven't clicked the prompt to "OK" which is saying my phone will be unrooted after updating, and I immediately force closed it and restarted my phone.
I understand Android 11 is still full of bugs and does not yet support TWRP so I don't want to update yet.
I also disabled automatic system updates via my developer options.
I also froze the following via Titanium: dynamic system updates 10, system update 2.1.3 and system updates 3.0.5.
1) Is it safe to freeze those three apps?
2) Have I done enough to prevent my phone from downloading the system update to Android 11?
Thank you
