Projector for I9000 - Galaxy S I9000 Accessories

Hello guys,
I have been searching but couldn't find anything, do you know if there is any way I could connect my Galaxy S to a projector? Like a dock in which you put the phone and it has a projector?
Or any other means of connecting a projector to the galaxy s?
Thanks in advance!

Just buy a tv-out cable and connect it to your projector using RCA.

maybe this can help

I bought this one some time ago for my 5800 but works ok with my I9000. You can use it with stock ROM but I've managed to make it work in CM9 too (with the help of the "Galaxy S Settings" app).

[Q] 3.5 mm TV out cable

Obviously I have a Samsung Galaxy S 4G. I'm running a custom rom, the valhalla final. I recently purchased a tv out cable from samsung. It doesn't work on any tv I have. Is it because the tv's I own are older? Or does it have something to do with my rom? If this is the case can anyone suggest a rom whrere tv out works? Please help me!!
Did you go to display settings and turn on the TV out option? If so and it still doesn't work, it may be a TV issue. I've been able to use it on all the TV's I've tried.

You need to switch the yellow (video) input with the red (audio) input when connecting to TV.

I've actually found that only applies to certain TV's for some reason. It's weird. But good point, I forgot about that.

Typically this would be reversed, meaning it would depend on the cable used. The phone sends the video signal on the same output.
I tried any color combination possible. NOthing work. My guess so far is the tv that stoned yoda was talking about. And yes, to answer your question, I chcked tv out. I get a bad picture with static and stuff. By the way, after thinking about it, the switching the cables wont work. That only applies if you don't buy the samsung cable, which I did. The samsung cable has a converter in it. Samsung switched the terminals to give you the illusion you had to buy from them. So I guess Im gonna find a newer tv and try it.....stoned yoda do you run a custom rom?
Mine work on 15 year old anolog television. How much older could your tv be?

[REQ] Dev needed for Infuse Car Dock to work with Samsung Skyrocket

There are a few dozen of us Skyrocket (GS II LTE) guys using the Infuse car dock (OEM Samsung version) because there are no docks made for the Skyrocket.
And it works great.... except for one problem.
Once you plug the phone into the docks USB port, it does not deliver audio out of the 3.5mm jack on the dock.
Am hoping there is a dev who will know how this function works on the Infuse, so we can possibly port that capability over to the Skyrocket?
Here is the Infuse car dock thread in the Skyrocket forum.

Thanks for any tips or suggestions!!!
Try pming entropy...he's our kernel dev/CM9 and fixed the dock problem with CM9....so I believe he should know how it works

Can't help you with ****rocket... COMPLETELY different hardware architecture including, I believe, a completely different USB port switching IC.
This is about all the help I can give you:
If the kernel properly supports docks, /sys/class/switch/dock/state will be 2 when a cardock is attached
Samsung Car Home sends the proper intents to Samsung's framework to change the dock audio routing. If you've tried Samsung Car Home and its dock audio routing isn't working - you're SOL on Touchwizz firmwares.

[Req] Missing apk for tv out on my note

Dear All,
I'm running on Rocket Rom the latest version for gingerbread (2.3.6) and few days ago I bought MHL adapter to connect my note to my tv through HDMI and I tried to search for TV out options but its missing, based on my search it should be somewhere in settings-->display--> tv out. I tried to find on all the menu but I couldn't find it. So I guess it has been removed from the ROM.
Anyone could help me to get the missing apk so I will be able to connect my note to tv?
Thank You
I don't think it has an "apk" for TV out. Plug it in switch TV to HDMI an it should just work. Mine does anyway
Although some custom Roms don't support TV out. Have you checked if urs does?

Thank You

HDMI For Sensation

Hey I'm looking to get my phone screen to show up on my tv and i was just curious if this HDMI cord is compatible with our sensations, let me know, thanks

Don't think so
What you need is a MHL cable or a craddle that includes it
I bought one from a seller in EBAY... and it worked flawless.
It's a craddle from KiDiGi, you can find it in it's home page. Can't post it here because of the rules of the forum
:good:
Just remember that a MHL cable needs power to function
Sorry to bug but could you perhaps pm me a cheap good one, so I know what I'm looking for exactly, greatly appreciated

Any MHL adapter should work... I bought a cheap one off eBay and it works great.
Has anyone used MHL with a de-sensed ROM? For example I am running Elegancia 3.6 with Nova launcher. Should it work ok and will the screen rotate to landscape on my TV? Just wanted to check, as any videos of MHL that I have seen for the Sensation show portrait orientated Sense launcher.

Just to update, went ahead and ordered an MHL cable from ebay (under £5) and it works great. Didn't work with my 40" Samsung as its nearly 5 years old, but worked with my smaller led tv.

Be carefull wenn using cheap MHL-adapters in a moving vehicle.
The switching between 2G and 3G network can cause serious interference (white snow/flickering)..

Thanks for the tip, but I doubt it will make it outside of my house!
No problem.
I'm using one in my car with my Appradio (Pioneer SPH-DA100). Found out the hard way...
If (IF!) you're getting any interference at home, try putting network-settings in HSPDA-only.
You'll probably just fine, but maybe this info is of any use to someone else who reads it.

It is a beautiful system IF you use ARLiberator. That app lets you mirror the full phone to the radio with touchscreen!
It's like having a 7 inch phone in your car.
What resolution will be displayed on the screen, capable of giving full hd ?

XDA rules state you need to wait a minimum of 24 hours before bumping your own thread.
However, I remember reading something a few days ago about some MHL adapters (knock-offs) not working with the S4. So the only thing I might suggest is making sure you have an "official" HML adapter from Samsung that is made for your exact model of phone. Do you?
The thread i read was either in this sub - forum or in the App sub forum. Good luck.
**EDIT**
Here is the thread:

If you do a search in this sub forum you will find threads with more info as well.
