CyanogenSense for CyanogenMod 6 9/18/2010 (newest stable)
What this is: This is a theme to change the whole look and feel of CyanogenMod to that of HTC Sense/Rosie.
What this is not: This will not give you Sense widgets or the functionality of Sense/Rosie.
Instructions:
1. Make a nandroid backup in case anything goes wrong.
2. Install CyanogenMod 6.0.0 (9/18/2010 build) for the HTC CDMA Hero from here: http://darchroms.pocketdevelopers.com/cm/update-cm-6.0.0-Heroc-signed.zip
3. Wipe your Dalvik Cache, Cache, and Data.
4. Flash CyanogenSense
Receiving force-closes or bootloops?
1. Try wiping your Dalvik Cache, Cache, and Data.
2. Try "Fix Permissions" in ROM Manager.
3. Reflash CyanogenMod (your SD-card may have corrupted it).
4. Re-download CyanogenSense, and if necessary, CyanogenMod (the downloads could have been corrupted).
There is nothing wrong with this theme that will cause force-closes, as others and myself have successfully installed this theme with no problems whatsoever. Please do not complain about something not working right until you have tried the above steps, otherwise you will just be ignored.

The pictures below are of my phone running CyanogenSense. Please note though, that my phone has the Arial font, as well as Fancy Widget and Launcher Pro(themed) installed. The default CyanogenSense theme does NOT contain those.

The .zip included IS FLASHABLE. HOWEVER, you may need ClockWorkMOD recovery to flash it, because I am not sure if it was signed right or not (ClockWorkMOD let's you disable signature checking).

Thanks! I just think that the Sense taskbar looks so much cleaner and nicer than the AOSP one.

Oh haha. I didn't even know you asked about that Eventually I'll skin AOSP to look more like Sense, but until a final CyanogenMOD ROM comes and is no longer in testing, I'm now doing full ports... it stinks having to redo that stuff, especially when my X10 port took like 8 or so hours lol.

Nope. As stated above in the first post, I said it was NOT the actual HTC Sense/Rosie. All it is is a reskinned CyanogenMOD.

Installation Instructions : Download is an update.zip, just download link, put it on the root of your sd card. Reboot into recovery and flash like you would any other update.zip or ROM. This has been tested on the 8/1 leak. Not too sure if this will work with any other Sense UI ROMs. Please let me know if it does tho so I can update the OP.
If Gmail FCs on you just clear data and that should fix it. You can do that by going to menu/settings/manage applications/gmail/clear data. or just wipe data/factory reset before you flash the theme.

installed it, FC'ed my gmail tried installing the icon zip and it fixed my gmail but FC'ed my calendar and removed my market app altogether...nandroided back to other theme skyraider rom 2.5.2

*SIGH*...........if you would read the OP you would know what to do about gmail. read directions and you won't have any issues from now on. just some advice for you. i guess i will have to put it in big red letters.

first of all for the advice i did follow the directions... and for the "damn noobs" comment K...M...A... i was working in development probably before you where out of diapers, as i stated the gmail i fixed the market app isn't listed so i posted it in case it was a bug issue. also when installing the stock icons zip the camera and camcorder aren't there anymore either. was just trying to help by posting these issues so i apologize for that.

Right Guys,
For those now running cyanogen on there x10's, they maybe aware that some themes from other models of phone will fit our x10, i have been in touch with a xda developer SicNside of the droid Eris phone whose 2 of his themes i have used. If there is much interest he has messaged me saying he is willing to port the themes over to us and to support us, can those interested please post and also any of you willing to test as he has not got a x10 phone.
I have posted some pics of one of his themes which i tried yesterday and i am sure you will like, i have also provided the link for Eris thread.
The zips are flashable by xrecovery/custom zip install, please do the following..
*Always make sure you have a backup using xrecovery*
Copy zip to sd/card, go into cyanogen settings/user interface/tweaks extra and reset to default.
Go into xrecovery wipe dalvik-cache and install custom zip (FroShed-CELB v4.1-4.3 ), reboot phone.
Please then do the following..go into cyanogen settings/user interface/tweaks extra and select a theme and choose froshedyov10-reboot your phone and thats it.
On the the lock screen there is background to a logo that is bieng looked into at the moment and a solution will be found.
Please give your support guys, i do not want any credit for SicNside's work but he is willing to share so can you pass on your thanks to him.
I will share this thread with him once up and running so he can then start porting-cheers.

UPDATE.......
Those having problems with cyanogen settings not working flash the cyanogen settings update zip with xrecovery and please remember some setting changes only work after a reboot.
Those having issues with the grey bar in the lockscreen, it is nothing to do with the theme it is the version of cyanogen you are using on your phone, i re-flashed with this one and it did the trick.......

Give it a try mate, as long as you are running cyanogen on your phone you will be ok, just follow the instructions on the first post and get the theme from sicNside's thread, again the link is in the first post, wallpapers and extras are also in his thread.

I have tried the gingerbread (GB FroyoEris-CM6.2), it is in 2 versions and the FroShed-CELB v4.1-4.3, the only issue with the froshed is the lock screen, have look at the screen shot, it has left a grey background where he had a logo, it has been mentioned to sicnside and he will look into it when he recieves my pm(time zone differance).
Give it a try i think you will like.

Hey fellas, im glad you like the themes. And when I get off work later ill start decompile some roms to port the themes. But I need to know which cyanogenmod roms you guys want the themes on. And ill post them up here for testing. Also if the versions for CELB work let me know how the sizing of things are looking because I think the two phones has a big difference in resolution

Nice to hear from you, we are currently running CyanogenMod 6.1.1 with froyo base, i have tested the FroyoEris gingerbread and that worked fine, i will test the CELB in a while and edit this post to let you know the result.
The FroShed-CELB v4.1-4.3 works ok, but as for the lock screen problem i had, another member never, so i do not know about that one.
We appreciate all your help and your sharing, i am sure more will get involved as you post, if you want to start a seperate thread, please do by all means, it may be easier in the end, if you want to use this thread for testing for now thats fine too-thankyou.
EDIT....I have just installed GB CELB-4.1 - 4.3 and it works perfect, so the choice is yours my friend, seems like we may be lucky with the resolution, i will try and find out what x10 resolution is for you.

HEHEHE! ) Been waiting to see what came up on the Cyan ROM'S, we tried a theme from a nexus port last weekend and just got in a boot loop. NO GO.

Tried the very first Gbread theme (non grey or something). Works perfectly since I installed it. May try some more tomorrow.

The extras are not flashable zips they just contain things to extract to your sd card like docks for launcher pro, wallpapers and icons to use in the dockbar or to replace app icons using a icon replacement tools or launchers that have that option built in like adx ex. As far as adw tweaks you can use the icons but adw still does not allow you to use custom docks

Can confirm, Frost for CM6 worked like a charm on Trip's 6.1.1CM, dropped the loaded version with themed apps, and DID wipe D cache first, no problems!! Looks very sweet!!

haha thanks dude i am hurrying up lol but hate those dam forecloses then ive to write codes based on our device because sgs2 is different size screen and what not -_- .. but almost 90% of work is done but this is a ongoing project which will feel different once finished. once done ill be looking into doing other projects/themes that'll blow skyrocket's mind :O

this theme is for any rom that is rooted..as far as statusbar foreclose ive not got any at all..please follow steps of wiping cache x3 and wiping dalvikcache x3 . if it still presists ill look into it again..also you should have lidroid.apk installed if not ill add it in to the zip.

not a noob question at all..when you go into cwm recovery to flash this zip then what you have to do is wipe cache and do that 3 times and then go into advanced i believe and wipe dalvik cache 3 times also then install this zip..i dont know why statusbar foreclose shows up because the only files this zip has is framework-res.apk , twframework-res.apk and all system apps like clock,phone and all and all my coding ive done is 100% percent on dot and i tested it prior to but if it is still there ill take down the link & look into it further..
edit: give me time guys im gonna take the link down for a bit and reupload it when all the problems are tested by another user prior to. also we have had a snow storm here so need to clean driveway and all.. ughh snow-storm -_- ..sorry guys
Battery bar won't work anymore.......and kinda miss the other 4g status bar icon
Aside from that......everything is working just fine

Looks good but i get two FC's one for settings (process com.android.settings) and when i press setting i just get a black screen and one for Messaging (process com.android.mms )
running stock rogers 2.3.5 rooted i also cleared the caches three times and fixed permissions

I saw a lot of comments about how slow the new TouchWiz launcher is, so, because I had already downloaded the ROM, I want to try something.
I'm not using this ROM, so I don't know if it works, let me know.
This is the new launcher, don't be fooled by its name, that's how Samsung named it.
It should be uglier than the unmodded one, but it should be as ugly as the one from Gingerbread, unless Samsung used more transparencies and fancy shades this time (transparent widget should be affected by this change too). Here the explanation.

If you are not familiar with adb, I suggest you to install an alternative launcher first, then copy /system/app/TouchWiz30Launcher.apk somewhere safe, for example in your SD card. In this way, if something goes wrong, you can always start the second launcher and restore TouchWiz30Launcher.apk with a file manager.
At least until someone tries the two zips to restore the unmodded launcher.

Well I just flashed the deodexed file, and apply with CW and working EXCELENT!!! Good job my friend!!!.
I have the Clean Rom by Luiseteyo V3.1.... So now I have 2 lanchers!!!!.....

I really don't know how this new TouchWiz launcher is, anyway, I explain what I did in this mod.
(I wanted to know first if this really changes something)
Basically this new TouchWiz launcher uses 32bit transparency, or at least that's what I can see decompiling it:

What I did was to put that boolean value to false.
32bit transparency makes everything better too look, but it also slow down the UI. Without it, you should see some bands in trasparent backgrounds, it's the little price to pay to have a smoother interface. (In Gingerbread the default setting is 16bit, so you should see these bands)

I think there are too many differences. Samsung apps use their own framework (twframework-res.apk) and probably this launcher needs the new framework. I don't think you can simply replace it with the new one. Maybe I'm wrong, I don't know anything of this ROM.
Anyway, if you want to see how much this little change can do, you can enable 32bit transparency in GO launcher (it's somewhere in the settings, I can't remember exactly where, maybe it's called "high quality drawing". It's not the same thing, because they are two different launchers).

Nop..... Its the same as the stock. In combination with your Clean pack (V 3.1).... Well the rom.... flies!!!!!!! and give you a choose between 2 lanchers.

In this way, if something goes wrong, you can always start the second launcher and restore TouchWiz30Launcher.apk with a file manager.
At least until someone tries the two zips to restore the unmodded launcher.

Can I ask a question? Could you port the 14 toggles for Deodexed and the extended menu for this rom? I tried and I could not, well I must learn / read more for that....

I don't think I'll do it now, maybe in the future. I did this one simply because it was fast and easy to apply.
If you want to try again, here I posted the links of some tutorials.
Anyway I think that sooner or later these mods will be ported to this ROM and if I'm not wrong, someone had already ported something, I can't remember where are the links, maybe in XXLE4 thread.

Tested, but not by me
I think that the problem is that there's a transition application->desktop that does a large use of transparencies and because of the 16bit what should be semi-transparent is solid.
It's just a guess, I flashed this ROM for 5 minutes just to fix the WIFI, I didn't even try this mod.
If that's the problem, I could change this behaviour.
So let's try something (this one too is a guess, I don't know if it works or if I changed the correct thing): fasterTouchwiz-experiment-deodexed.zip
(flash the old zip in case of problems)

EDIT: Samsung could have at least changed this

Thks for the link... Itried and well I get the extended menu... but it´s no fully functional yet.... Proof and error... Im afraid... :good: . One thing... Im not a dev... only a curious guy who want to learn about android and the samsumg phone.
Well I did it!!!. The extended menu is functional. But I must try more and do more test.... So.... Ill hope soon got the flashable file.....

am sorry to ask this am a bit noobie , i cant copy files because my phone is not rooted ,, i have tried to search google i uesd z4root ,superoneclick & unlockroot , but no use ,, so please tell me how to root , thank you

Check in development section for cf root.. Flash it using Odin..
