I'm frustrated. I've been trying to install the NS drivers for 2 days now to no avail. I don't know where to browse. I've followed many tuts and none of the worked. Either an error appeared afterwards or I couldn't browse to the driver file because it wasn't found. Can somone kindly do a step by step simple explanation of how to do this for windows 7 64 bit... or atleast provide me with a good link?
Thank you
Nexusshacks.com has the files and a video to show you how to do it. It isn't exactly straight forward.

Already tried that method and it isn't working for me! I keep getting the error... and I'm doing it right.. EXACTLY what the guy is doing in the video.
I used that exact video and files when i did mine, Win7 x64 too (though it was the older, GB rooting video/files with older su.zip). You need to unzip the file first, so copy the usb_driver folder onto your desktop or something, then have disk --> usb_driver --> .inf file.
Could you tell me exactly what error you get?

My biggest problem is that when I download and extract the samsung drivers to my desktop it's an .msi file.. Isn't it supposed to be an .exe? Atleast that's what it says on the nexusshacks site.
EDIT: Thanks for the help Harbb but my problem is solved

what do you mean? are you using winrar to open the package and flash from inside the compressed archive??? you have to decompress it first. Rightclick; extract to "rom.rar" ; and a new folder should appear on your desktop. only then you can run the utility.
If your problem is the upgrade utility is telling you that you need a new versiion, then you are probably not completely unlocked. try "wizard service tool" to unlock.
could some one just post a step by step process on how to flash new ROM?
Because its just not working.

Do you mean Samsung Omnia
Regardless - I checked out the game and believe it is a Java based game - I downloaded it and it was a Java file in a ZIP file or RAR File as it showed on my computer. All you would need to do is extract the JAVA - .jar file from the zip folder and transfer that to your device - With my device I would transfer either through bluetooth, WIFI or activesinc and I would place it in a folder with the rest of my java apps then run it- Not sure about your device - basically whatever works for you. Then you would just find it using your file explorer and tap it to play it or open your Java app and select the game- as long as your device supports Java games.
From what I have seen it is an older game so even if you can get it to run - it might not run properly on your device or even look right with your screen resolution. Hope this helps
Here is a tutorial on cab files. (what most installations are)
If it is a java based game then the process is similar, copy and run.
Hello,
I am trying to root my G2 phone and am trying to setup the ADB part of it.
I am trying to setup ADB using this guide

INSTALLING ADB ON WINDOWS - METHOD B, THE "QUICK" WAY, NO SDK
However, the link for the file appears to be gone for step two. Curious as to where I could find it.

The links worked for me. I don't know why they don't for you.
Did you try this link below...
Step 2
Download this zip archive and unzip it somewhere memorable on your PC (e.g. into a folder on your desktop) - http://dl.google.com/android/reposit...01-windows.zip
It gives a 404 error. Where else can I find that download file?

Attached is the eclipse file i cannot unzip... anyone else have this issue? i went ahead and attached what i was going to unzip next havent tried it yet... been stuck on eclipse all day well nevermind guess too big to upload... just trying elcipse from eclipse website help?
I'm pretty sure that that when I installed eclipse I used WinRar, however 7zip or winzip should work, what kind of error are you getting when you try to extract the files?
have you downloaded it succesfully ?
still no success. I gave up on it... But want to get it! It says something like unkown file type or damaged.... I'm downloading it from eclipse.org eclipse basic... windows 64 bit.... I dont understand why it wont open...
Got everything downloaded now just can't add Android sdk to eclipse..... :/

If it doesn't unzip eclipse it's probably because the file is corrupted, try re-downloading it
I got eclipse now.downloaded Android sdk but can't do the thing to plug Android sdk into eclipse. Says something is missing

What error message do you get? Also make sure you have the appropriate Java version installed (At times I've noticed problems with apps linked to 32-bit libraries, opened with 64-bit Java or vice versa). Although I think it should have both installed in Windows 64-bit.
I don't mean to hijack the thread, but I have a similar thread. The error is either
1) org.eclipse.ui 3.6.2 error
(When using eclipse indigo)
2) org.wst.sse.core 0.0 error
(When using eclipse Helios)
I will have to look at error. Its after Tron to add it. Hit next next then your suppossedto hit accept and it don't.... And I really wanna get this lined out.been Tryin since..... Last week?

not sure if this is strictly related to the problem of the OP, but after I downloaded Eclispe it would not unzip correctly. It failed on about 14 files.
After looking around, i found it was a path length problem (Windows has a path length folders+filename restriction) and the Eclipse developers know this but still make their paths quite long, since ver 3.5 or something like that.
The way i got around it was very simple: move the zip file to your root folder (eg c:\) then unzip it. You won't have all the extra folders in the unzip path that doing it on the desktop, for example, would have.
What am I doing wrong... It says packed image not exist. I try to extract it but it just shows 8 text files. Can someone please help me. I'm starting to get a little pissed. Thank you
Same problem as me. I copied the extracted folder to Desktop and try open from there as administrator.

Create new folder, place and extract the downloaded files in the same folder then open the extracted msm tool. Make sure you installed all drivers needed.

Don't know what MSM tool you need there are several here. Just download again the tool you need then put the file in a folder and extract the file in the same folder. You should be able to open it.
My msm tool won't open. No matter how may times I click to open it just won't open. If I click a lot it says running even though its not open. Anyone know what I can do to get this running?

Also had this problem, had to restart the pc every time.
Also having the same problem. Installed and updated all drivers. Still will not even open, just throws the packed image not exist error and closes. Running as administrator, extracted and copied files to desktop, everything done as instructed.

That's because you are transferring downloaded zip via flash drive to another computer: it will never work. The file must be downloaded and unzipped on the same PC it was downloaded.
