I recently updated my Sensation to ICS, and I already love it, but I do kind of miss the CRT off animation. Does anybody know how to make a flashable .zip for just the on or off CRT animation? I personally don't really like the on one but I love having the off one, so if anybody could help me out with this that would be fantastic
No one is really focusing on CRT animations. I think the dev or mods are waiting on a stable release.
Oh yeah, that's true I guess. I'm running HyperNonSense and that seems to be pretty stable so far though.
Yeah, I'm waiting for CRT on off animation, too.

I already answered this in another thread in this section, please use search before posting.
Short answer - I am working on it but a lot is different in ICS than the GB files I am using for reference and also my job is keeping me very busy at the moment so i dont have much time for it

I actually did search and I didn't see it come up. But okay cool to know that someone is working on it
Does anyone have any news regarding this?
Am so missing the CRT animation!!!
Thanks in advance.
it requires changing framework-res file...but all roms are in beta right now....by the time final comes, all will have different frannework...so modding a beta framework is waste of time...as.then you'll need to do it on every beta release...which is a pain in the a$$

Ah okay.
Thanks for the reply
Hoping I will see it in final release then.

I've been seeing screens with these custom lockscreens. How do I go about getting some of these? Do I have to create them myself? Sorry if I sound like a total newbie. I'm probably gonna be stuck with my Hero for another year because of Sprint's changes. Can someone point me in the right direction?

Most people use widget locker in order to get a custom lock screen. It's a paid app though.

now if you just want an alternate lockscreen there is a few lockbot is the best but i will say its very laggy and half the time your system lockscreen overrides it
I really just want something that actually replaces the stock screen. Whenever up tried using lockscreen apps they tend to be buggy and... like you said, the stock screen overrides the app. I just want something flashable that overrides the stock screen, not the other way around.
I haven't had time to search for anything but will try tomorrow.

I've not seen any actual lock screen replacements. Cm7 has about 5 different styles but i haven't seen any replacement lock screens in a while since everyone was putting vanilla lock screens on sense

word, using widget locker is legit, paid for app but its great!! I have 3 different widgets on the screen and it's only not worked like once but i think it was a phone issue not the actual program.
This is a MOD for all froyo users
including cyanogen mod , AOSP and MIUI
This MOD includes TouchWiz 3.0 launcer (widgets will soon be added)
and themed various apps....

I highly recommend taking a back up b4 flashing

Only flashable and no theme
Sorry, All Samsung haters
personally i don't lyk it's UI....!!
I'll try it out!

BUT, could you please change that awful stock Android camera theme (CM6)? Atleast the background, its awful IMO.

I like the fact that this is made as a mod instead of another rom, thanks op!
And I think you should change the Market icon in the next version, to the stock market icon. This one is confusing! xD

And thanks a lot
I just realized that there were already too many roms so as a marketing statergy I targeted all ROM users

I know, another ROM recommendation request, but I've tried MIUI, SuperCm7, Emancipation, Bionix, R3V0lUTI0N, and several stock variations and they all have a bunch of extras to uninstall.
I'm looking for something with almost no apps/modifications, or something relatively stable. Thanks ...

I think I'll probably be uploading my ROM sometime tomorrow. It's basically UCLB3 with bloat removed, totally stock appearance, extended power menu, and Google's desk & car dock apps, and a small tweak to keep the screen on when using the desk dock. Also, tracked down the version of the stock battery indicator that turns yellow/red on low battery.
Was hoping to add a flashlight toggle to the notification pulldown, and a data toggle to the EPM, but I think they'll have to wait for an update.
EDIT: So that's what a bootloop looks like! OKay, maybe I won't be releasing it this weekend after all.
Edit #2: I think I got it sorted out (stinking APKMultiTool compiler wasn't cooperating with me). Look ahead a few posts for DL Link. Thread coming soon in the Dev section.

You should look into adding lidroids 14 toggle status bar, its the status bar that just about all the roms have now...and its not too hard to add in it will have data and flashlight included in the status bar plus other stuff

But yeah, there's a good chance that lidroid's toggles is what I'll end up doing in the long run.
All the different mods are nice and all but just make sure you release a solid ROM, it'll make all those mods all the more better!

I ran across this and it say's ICS and "most things are working". Is this real or is the site wrong on it being ICS?
This is very interesting, hopefully someone can shed some light on this. That would be awesome if it was a working ICS build, but for some reason part of me thinks this is just an ICS-Like ROM. I'm hoping though!
Eternity is awesome. Not ICS though. Sense 3.5. Very Smooth And stable with right settings. full day battery also.

from reading over the link, i think it was just a typo. it should have said HTC instead of ICS.
if Infected put out an ICS rom in march, we would all know about it by now.
The link for the rom is here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1003891
Its a great rom. Very polished. They have nightly builds which r248 is the latest and it is the most stable. They also have test builds which were updated to the .19 base, however I personally had a few issues with those. Development should be continuing on the rom soon.
About the link in the op...
I saw it yesterday I think. Posted on there that it needed to be corrected or removed, because info is either out of date or flat out wrong. Today... My post was deleted from their page. So, just ignore what it says. They don't care that it's giving wrong info.

Not even so much that they don't care.
It's a traffic grabber.

It's nothing more, nothing less IMHO.
What are the right settings to get Eternity smooth? After three hours playing with it I managed to download some of my apps (titanium isn't working on the rom for some reason) and... Well, it is by far the laggiest/ slowest ROM I've dealt with. Do I need to oc my kernel higher?
As it is, this ROM is near unusable.

What version are you running? If you're on r248 flash imos 5.2 kernel. Run the speed tweak script in terminal and set it up in normal mode (that's what I do). It's oc is 1.4ghz and undervolted to save battery. Change the governor to smartassv2 and change the scheduler to sio. Also, DONT RESTORE SYSYTEM APPS WITH TITANIUM BACKUP. I don't know if you did but that will screw things up. Make sure before you flash to super wipe and use 4ext recovery for flashing. Eternity isn't a laggy rom for me but you may consider using a different launcher instead of rosie.
Sent from my ADR6400L using Tapatalk 2
Oh I know not to restore system apps with titanium. I'm not always the brightest... But at least that i know =)
Rosie... Yeah, I'm starting to get Rosie crashes after web browsing. Was hoping I wouldn't need to drop it, but oh well. Such is life.
Thanks for the kernel suggestions =) I appreciate it!

this is NOT ICS
This is a really bloated rom with beats audio added and lots of other apps nobody wants or uses with sense UI. While it is a great rom, it is far from ICS in every respect I promise.
Hi there viperoneS users. I absolutely love the new rom. The developers have done a fantastic job.
However I do have an issue regarding the AOSP Lockscreen.
Everytime I check the AOSP imcomming call workaround option in the Lockscreen tweaks menu, it unchecks itself after reboot and the crucial option for me does not work.
Ive tried things like wiping cache, I even reinstalled the entire rom.
Can you guys please check if there's a bug or maybe provide me a solution to sort this out?
AOSP LOCKSCREEN looks much better than the standard sense Lockscreen, but because its not unlocking itself while getting a call I am forced to use the standard one.
I second that! The issue indeed exists!
Dude u post that in the viper thread why would u make your own thread just spam :banghead:

I'm having the same issue and can't post to the dev section as well.
From reading some other threads, it seems that this issue occurs with all of the aosp lockscreen implementations and is not just specific to this rom.
Wish there was a fix though as this rom rocks! Please update this thread of you get any answers.

this issue is prevalent in all VIPER ROM releases. Seems like they missed smething in coding the ASOP lockscreen tweak. Check the HTC One X forum and this issue has been raised there!
