[Q] install New RUU

Good day
I got my new sensation 2 days ago i need to install new RUU on the device but i don't know where to start and what to do
plz i need help thxx

You can't flash an RUU that's different from you original version. It's been covered SO many times before it's not funny.
What RUU are you trying to flash and what ROM is currently on your phone?

im trying to install "RUU_Pyramid_HTC_ARA_1.34.415.1"
and idon't know what is the current RUU on my device
my problem is :
i want to add arabic support to my device , when i run the RUU it can't discover the device, my device is connects and set to USB disk drive

You can't do it. To find the version on your handset go to Settings>About phone>Software information
And it shouldn't be connected in Disk Drive mode to run an RUU - you set it to HTC Sync (and you need HTC Sync installed on your PC)

and if i can't how can i install arabic support on device??

You can't, simple as that. You need to wait until we have root access to flash a new ROM which has Arabic support built into it. Might be weeks yet

as mentioned above, you just can't at the moment, for arabic webpages however you can download Firefox which renders arabic websites without a problem, I know that doesn't solve all the problems though, the facebook app for instance can't ready arabic unless it's supported natively by the rom, don't worry though, once HTC releases its S-off update all will be fine.

So it also won't be possible to flash the "RUU_Pyramid_HTC_Europe_1.35.401.1_Radio_10.43a.900 7.00U_10.51.9007.27_M3_release_198179_signed"
to a 1.34.206.1 (Europe) device, right? =(
or is there a possibility to do this?
Would be really nice to get that unbranded version to my phone cause I really dislike waiting weeks or longer for a new branded version every time a new software version is released.. :/

eddy if u could help be greatfull. for warranty purpose i want to go back s on but when i run ruu error 155 when i do it in hboot error 1.70 wanna go back 1.45 ruu at the moment im on 1.73

Your thread in general isn't helpful to the guy dragging up an 8 month old thread. To answer the question you need to s-off, set super cid and then flash the RUU you wish to use

eddy thanks i am s off and supercid .when i run ruu says current image version 1.73.401.2 update to1.45.468.2 so i enter update than it says error 155 get correct ruu well im in turkey this is turkish ruu so i have the right ruu where am i doing wrong?

Depends on the ROM. Again, read.

BTW you never needed the eng hboot to flash a radio. Again you should read a little more before doing these things or you might be sorry in the end.

Please help - original rom

i've put Virtuous S4X Build3 rom(http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1513055) on my htc sensation, yesterday the htc fell on the ground and now the screen is cracked. i went to the store where they told me that it could be fixed on warranty. but for this to happen i need to have my htc to run a stock rom again.
where can i find this rom?

Eventhough the screen is cracked, the phone is working fine right?
So, you should be able to go into the bootloader and put on the stock ruu.

wrong place where to ask man...there is a Q&A thread for something

download the RUU specific to your phone to windows and install via windows , should return your phone to stock. Plz ask this in relevant forum, this is not development dude

use search please...here you can find the guide on how to turn s-on...juts run a RUU and wait

Stock on HTC screen. Need help!

I have a problem. I have a HBOOt ver. 1.23 and my device is been S_OFF. I also have a Android Revolution ICS custom rom. So, I try to downgrade to official 2.3, but I do somethimg stupid. I put S_ON on my device and now my device is S-ON, HBOOT 1.23,Radio-11.19.3504.29.2 and its stock on htc homescreen.I try to install RUU_Pyramid_HTC_Europe_1.35.401.1_Radio_10.43a.9007.00U_10.51.9007.27_M3_release_198179_signed but there is a problem, error 155.
My englis is not good, sory. Is any know how to solve a problem? Send me if you know step by step solution.

Try putting s-off again, and just flash another rom. Honestly i would think that would be the best.

Its not posible put s off, becouse revolutionary only have s off for h boot 1.18. And its not possible to downgrade h boot from 1.23 to 1.18. Is anybody have also these problem and fix them?

I have a HTC Sensation which was provided by Vodafone which I want to restore to stock rom. I've had the Frankinstine AOKP Rom on it.
Details are:
CID: VODAP001
VODA-UK
Version: 3.32.161.11
I've been following the instructions here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1672425
But step 2.4 asks you to find the right RUU and I can't find the right one for my version - can anyone help? Based on the instructions I'm looking for "RUU Pyramid 3.32.001" but can't find anything.
Any help would be much appreciated.

If not ,you could try THIS ONE
If it does not work,it will just give you an error.
No harm done.

@AndroidSupporter318 - I will post the radio version tonight as I don't have the phone on me right now.
@Alsager - how do I know if that last one is the right one? I'm not clear what I should be looking for.
@malybru - sorry I should have mentioned I am s-on so I can certainly try the RUU you've linked to and see what happens!

I am not sure to be honest. I think, you can try it. If it is not the right one, it will not work. @Marlybru might give you a more definitive answer.

Hi,
As he is s-on,he would not be able to use the one you have suggested.
The 10.11 radio would indicate a GB RUU,and he is on ICS firmware.

So my Baseband version is 11.69A.3504.00U_11.23.3504.07_M2
I'm going to try the RUU suggested by malybru and report back on the result. Fingers crossed!

Unfortunately that RUU didn't work - it said this utility cannot upgrade your Android phone, please try another one. Any other suggestions? Surely there must be a way I can revert to stock?
