After installing update 2 on lfaber's SCV5 I was bombarded with force closes. I mean wifi and data shuts down too...After trial and error I figured out that the problem starts when I change my status bar icons through Rom Toolbox...I would love to keep the update and I still would like to customize my status bar..is there a way to keep both????

You should still be able to use ROM Toolbox, but you might have to restore the original status bar, then flash/update, then re-apply the customization.

This. I set mine specifically to go away or come back with a swipe up.
i always get this notification to connect to mobile data when i reboot the tablet or when i use honeybar to show the status bar after it was hidden. it's annoying. how do i remove this notification?
you could turn off notifications in the system panel. You probably dont want to do that though. Do you get the notification when you are connected to a mobile network? Is the message about the date/time is not set automatically,etc.?
I could understand after a reboot, if it is just slow to load and connect at boot.
I dont see why you would get this after toggling honeybar.
hi chris,
turning off notifications doesn't help. everytime the tablet boots or the status bar re-appears (as a result of honeybar) i get this notification "mobile connection is currently disabled. you need to connect to mobile data to use data applications... blah blah blah". you don't get this message in your version of the tab plus? btw i flashed your ics theme it works fine but i have a small problem, check the theme thread
so it just the notification? or do you actually see your signal drop?? did you just get this device? someting leads me to believe it may be network/connection related. rather than actual software bug? how is your mobile settings configured in settings?

its not a bug.. the problem is because of the method used to call/show back the status bar. i read somewhere* it have to reload something** to show the status bar.
* i forgot where i read it
** and i forgot what it reloads too
lol
never happened to me with honeybar 1.5

i have an app that works fine but on the galaxy s3 (go contacts/dialer) it seems to always give an app has crashed notification that reappears in my notifications bar. How can I remove this persistent notificatioin?
Well it obviously doesn't work fine if it's giving crash notifications does it! :silly: lol
I assume you're using the up to date EX version of Go contacts? When did the error start appearing?
Hey guys, I'm stumped, I'm using SlimBean 2.9 and random this problemly started occuring. Whenever I unlock my phone, the notification drawer goes away and it won't come back, I've spent a lot of time looking through settings and changing things and nothing has helped. I didn't change anything when this initially happened.
The notification drawer appears when I turn the phone screen on but then it's gone when I unlock the phone.
Check that you hadn't hidden your bar in launcher settings inadvertently.

Checked and installed 3 different launchers, reset all the settings and the problem persists. By the way, I think maybe the correct name is "status bar"". It's the bar on the top that shows notifications and time and such;
So I'm guessing it's the rom, really want to try avoid reinstalling the rom if possible......It's SlimBean from SlimRom
Hi Everyone,
Since the middle of last week I have a number of notifications stuck on the status bar. No matter what I do they won't go away and overlay any new ones making them almost impossible to read. Also the time on the status bar is always 11.09.
When I swipe down none of the apps showing are displayed, so I can't clear them that way. There are 5 apps showing, an alarm, a email alert and 3 game alerts. When I go into any app the bar clears and the time is correct, but as soon as the home screen reloads all the notifications come back.
I've rebooted the phone but they just come back afterwards.
It's vanilla Mix 3, not rooted, nothing new installed running the latest updates.
I really don't want to factory reset and some of the apps take a while to set back up!!!
Anyone have an idea on how the clear this??
Thanks.
Could try some of the options here. https://m.wikihow.com/Clear-Message-Notifications-on-Android
Also could try clearing data on your launcher app.
Some launchers also have a reload built into the launcher settings
