Cm7 battery drainage - HTC Inspire 4G

I just recently flashed from ARHD 6.3.2 cm7 and I'm experiencing battery drainage on the cm7. The picture below is self explanatory.

ARHD doesn't have a CM7 build? so I'm not sure what you're saying. I also don't understand your picture..it doesn't document any type of battery drain so help us help you by giving us the usage screenshot.

I meant from Arhd to cm7, I just wanted to know if I had the right kernal and radio

Radio is something that varies, radios that work well for some do not work well for others. I would try a few different kernels first to see if they help.

I see I see, well radios and kernels are all very subjective. 2 people with the same phone could live right next to each other and could very well have two different radios that work best for each. My suggestion is to try out different radios until you find the best one that fits for you. Kernels are the same, no one can tell you what kernel is best since every person has different uses for their phone. However, while radios (in the inspire radio thread in the dev section) can all be flashed to the inspire, not all kernels work with AOSP ROMs. Be certain you're flashing the proper kernel or you'll be bootlooping!

This is for LC Kernels... Has always been good to me...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1085725

See the problem is I flashed a kernal and I bricked it, but luckily had a backup. I know that Radio's are all trail and error, but I just wanted to see which one was stable for the majority of people

If only there were a thread in the Dev section about what radios work with the Inspire and have been tested stable...

be careful when using the term brick..if you bricked your phone all the back ups in the world wouldn't save the phone.

LordmodUE is an AOSP kernel, meant for ROMs like MIUI and Cyanogenmod. Bindroid is a Sense ROM. You do the math.

C'mon OP, you're better then that!
You have to follow the link to lormodnct to go to the sense kernel betas. I have flashed beta 5 cfs and had no issues but others on the team have had the same problem as you. On the next update the kernel will get switched back to lordmodNCT 4 bfs.
There is a conflict with the modules on current version.

[POLL] what kernel are you using?

just wondering what everyone finds works best for their phones. did you choose one over the other or did it just come with your current ROM?
EDIT: just realized i posted this in the dev sub-forum

Anthrax 4b
Swyped on HTC Sensation 4G
Stock T-Mobile HTC kernel. I'm running elegancia's T-Mobile rom 1.10, keeping it stock for a while. The stock kernel isn't bad at all. I'm getting about 16 hours with moderate use and 2hour screen time. Performance isn't bad neither although I miss having zram, it's not a deal breaker though.

Are you sure you flashed the correct ROM for your phone?
Make sure your flashing a ROM made for "Crespo" -this is the code name for your device.
I have the same phone on Mobilicity and there's lots of roms that work well. There's no 'best' ROM for everyone, they all have their pluses and minuses.
I'd start off with something tried and true with lots of support behind it like CyanogenMod 9 and see how that works out.

What do you mean when you say you have no signal? Do you mean that you can't connect to Mobilicity network or that your 3g doesn't work?
Right now I'm running AOKP nightly build 40. I've also run CM9 nightlys, CyberGRmod, Black Ice Kangorade and others I've probably forgotten.
The carrier makes no difference in what roms you can run, just make sure it's for a crespo device.

Just be careful and read up first when dealing with radios. It may not be the problem but flashing the wrong one could cause issues.

Many thanks to the ORIGINAL guy, football. He carried this community far with all his releases
Also thanks to tmartin for helping me stay on top of all the RUUs
Erm, what's the point of this thread?
We already have had access to these RUUs for quite some time now...
Wait I thought we didn't have an actual RUU just like stock ROMs and radios or something like that?

I think the only official RUU was the 1st and 2nd ROM. The later 1.63.531.2 was only released as an update, not a full RUU.
I needed this like 3 days ago :/
I for one still didn't know ruu were ever available for ds... So thanks!

If they're standard RUU, then you'd still need to root them after you apply. That's not a very difficult task.
Could these be used to downgrade the HBOOT so I can run revolutionary to gain S OFF?
Possibly, but chances are you would need superCID which I believe you need security flags removed for this anyway. Maybe try to make a goldcard?
But really the wire trick isn't hard and true radio s-off is much nicer than a patched bootloader like rev

best sgs4g rom & kernel combo

Just flashed back to stock from CM9 last night, because I got tired of bugs and reboots. Right now my sgs4g is on stock froyo and rooted. I want a reliable rom. What has been the best kernel/rom combo for you?
When I used CM9 I didn't get bugs nor reboots maybe a bad download?
Froyo is from the dark ages, I suggest you bump up to Gingerbread
My Signature has everything I run and I go days without a reboot and a day without a recharge. Everyones mileage will vary though.

I recommend barebone. I liked the theme and being on GB you get WiFi calling and two days of battery.

In total agreement... Very stockish but rock solid, no reboots or data loss... and excellent battery life

With the phone this old, the only way to make new again is to use ICS roms and above. Time and time again, I tried to go back to GB bare bone, I always ended back to ICS roms. I just missed out the modern UI too much to be using GB.
So here is my stable and good battery life combo: Ultragen and hefe kod. Just remember to fix permission after flashing hefe kod kernel or u might get a once in a while wake reboot when leaving the phone unattended. I don't know y, just an observation.

Thanks for the input. I went with cm9..... again, when I noticed blundven updated it. However now there are bugs with video. Flash is no longer supporting android....what is the best kernel? Hefe? I'm just running the one supplied from cm9 update.
Use ICS Proton kernel v2.
