You should do factory reset after flashing custom rom then clear cache partition and dalvik cache.

[ROM/Mods/Themes] FROYO ONLY

Hello, due to megaupload takedown, all Froyo ROMs, thems, mods, links are down. Lots of us are going back to Froto due to notification problem with Gingerbread.
It would be great if all who a long time ago downloaded Froyo files, upload them to the community. Please check, its just a minute.
I send PM to the Froyo ROM devs, but nobody has the files in their pc.
I do my contribution uploading OsmansFans v1.3 FR and CWM Recovery for XXKB3.
I will update this post with the news:
Swap Memory for Froyo [Uploader:crk1995]
DARKGENMOD V3.1 (Pass: DarkGenMod) [Uploader:crk1995]
OsmanFans V1.2.1 [Uploader:crazbanditz]
Thanks
buddy notification problem is solved on xda bam kernel. So what's the point in using now old froyo roms...???

Is not really "solved". Im always checking the thread and some people still have problems. Not only with notifications, bluetooth problems, and random reboots are still there. The kernel is not stable.

Is this universal? Is for CWM?
The most important are CWM and Deodex, without it we cant install most of modifications.

I don't think so. Please refer the xda bam kernel thread again. Bam recommanded again & again that people should freash flash whole rom from scratch & then flash kernel. I am using his kernel over fresh flashed xxkpq rom & trust me that I have not experienced a single problem that u have mentioned regarding wifi or bluetooth or anything else.
But still if u want to use froyo then no problem. Its everyone's personal choice

+1 here, I am using beta10 in KPU since a week and everything going perfect, I haven't had any fc or problem, you should test it, but installing it correctly. Is it slower? yes but is the way it works

I just give it a try like you said, flashed v11 with cfroot in a clean rom. Then try to format ext4 and it stuck in a bootloop. So its not stable !
Its up to the peoples decision whether they want to be on froyo with nice video recording and a confirmed sync bug fix. There are definitely some people with problems with gb firmware, most likely because their hardware isn't all that good.
Cheers

Did you do a nandroid backup before converting and restore the same backup after converting? If you didn't then that caused the bootloop

In that case, I guess that you would not have a bootloop. You would just get stuck at bootlogo.

Isn't kpq as a base before proceed to Poseidon rom? I already flash Poseidon rom with kpu but when u dial *#1234#, the baseband is unknown
Sent from my GT-I9003 using XDA
Yes its based on XXKPQ but i tired it with KPU before coz i read that its better w/ KPU.
EDIT- but if you encountered some bugs repeat the method til XXKPQ then flash poseidon.
why people dont use gingerbread standard rom but try this roms with bugs when the standard rom have no bugs ?

Because standard rom is clubbed with lots of applications which are useless and not only take your space but ram too.....most of the custom roms are stripped version and available only after rooting...which will help you to get 'administrative' rights as in case of windows PC.
so you can even decide initial start up !!!!
the design of the stock rom makes me flash it again..

I do it just for a change and to try out different features and looks, that custom ROMs provide. JMHO

Flashing baseband through recovery

Am so so sorry to ask this question and i dont know if its proper to ask the question,is it possible to flash a baseBAND/radid through recovery.thanks in advance
New BasebandFix by adfad666
It is only temporary and you will have to flash it each time you flash a new baseband rom.
If you revert to a old baseband rom, no fix needed.
Thanks you really helped.hope it works for CM9 AND 10 and not only on CM7

Yes, you will need a JB kernel for a JB ROM AFAIK
1st u need to upgrade to stock jb... for jb kernel support.... the u install any jb rom
rom problem
add boot.img from the previously downloaded LeWa OS ROM to the ZIP without unzipping the zip
how to do dat???????
So ones upgraded to stock jb.. should we have to flash stock jb through sp or cwm each time before flashing any jb rom? Or we can flash any jb rom n number of times ones we upgraded to jb?

Once you have upgraded to stock JB, you don't have to reflash stock everytime you flash a JB ROM
But if you flash an ICS kernel, you'll have to reflash Stock JB again to flash JB ROM.
Solution Found !!
Hey guys i found this on this forum...
here's the download link for JB kernel: goo.gl/vbpy2
download the file..
1. after wiping cache/partion.
2. format system
3. flash the above downloaded zip
4. flash any custom ROM without rebooting.
These steps are needed if you're upgrading from ICS ROM to JB... and its needed only once to flash the JB Kernel..
Sorry for the silly question but where can i find boot.img?
I want to try Suvi Rom but instruction it says "Put boot.img from micromax JB rom in the Zip"
I searched my memory card there is boot.img in CWM Backup folder. is this the same file?

If i hav stock rom files then you can get the boot.img from it and just drag and drop it inside zip using winrar. It will ask to save do that.
