OK I've flashed all three (not including miui cause of data) ics roms and can say that all are amazing pieces of work! But I've been using EB's ICS rom and can say that for some reason it feels the smoothest. The camera for still images is amazing. Once the video and HW is done its a wrap lol. Like a said, all u devs working on this are doing an outstanding job! Keep up the great work!

first time I ever used a custom rom. was sick of winds froyo.
Its looks and works good but few problems (im a noob)
- lost all my contacts, not sure how to import from backup
- dont know how to import pics/apps from sd card. want all my old apps and pics back
- dont see the 3g icon, even though data works
other than that looks and feels amazing. hope the video is fixed soon as well.
The 3g is H if I remember correctly

Only way to import contacts is sync them with Gmail. For apps you should have backed them up with titanium backup..

I mean there all good roms. These phones work a different way for us all for some reason. Problems i have you guys may not have abd vice versa. I have a lot of games with a lot of data also so I'd be mad along with u haha. Good thing restoring the data back to the games worked even tho I came from a GB rom. As for the other apps I just downloaded back from the market. I definitely like HFS

EB ICS has been my favorite of the ICS rooms thus far from the G2x as it seems to be the least buggy and is very smooth. I have converted to using it as a daily driver and it's working out well. The only downside so far is that I have to manually reinstall my apps with titanium backup but that's better than having to go to the market.
Other than the other known issues, this rom is the business! Love it and thank you to the dev for making it happen.
If you buy Titanium Backup Pro, it restores all the apps with one click.

you can also import/export your contacts to either your sd card or your sim card, note though that if you export them to the sim card you'll lose all their pictures, if you do have pics for your contacts, but the sd card takes everything which is what I use.
It's also a smart idea to always keep a backup of your contacts on your sim card since it would be very hard to erase them off of it, whereas you can easily lose them on an sd card.
BTW EB ICS rocks, and so does HF sandwich, tried both but stuck with EB because it was more stable for me.
Props to our great devs
I love EB, but I am having issues with my Wi-Fi. Everytime I turn it on, it stays at "Turning Wi-Fi on..." and then when I back out of it and go back in, I press the scan button and my router doesn't show up..... any suggestions?
This problem has happened to me on 3 roms and I would just like for it to work with EB!!

Hmmm..working great on mine. When I install roms no matter if the dev says we can install over the previous or not. I always flash my roms in this order:
1) boot into cwm
2) do a full back up
3) wipe data/factory reset
4) wipe cache partition
5) wipe dalvic cache
6) go into mounts/storage and format system
7) install zip
8) install apps (if necessary)
9) then fix permissions
99% of the time I have no user error. If there is a bug or error, it is because the dev said it was there so I'm aware of it.

Love the ROM... can live without video but need BT mute function. Can the developers please look into it? The same issue was present on CM7.
Light comes on but no mute when connected via BT headset.

EB's ICS ROM is impressive; have had very few issues running it. I should qualify this statement by saying that I haven't used any of the other ROMs, but why switch around when you find one that fits so well?

I think you can get titanium back up and it save everything data and apps then you can reinstall everything. It has to be the paid app the free only supports one app. I could be wrong but someone else can confirm what im saying.

It only applies if there are framework mods or if the base firmware version is different. System app data is usually incompatible and in some cases user app data will cause issues.

TiBu supports all apps backup, both paid and free.
Paid one does additional tasks like batch restore without prompting for each app and data.

Well your JUST TRYING out a Rom, why even set your phone all the way back up......just load up the essentials and go at it, how fast is the email, how good is the network, browser speed, sound, bugs or whatever....then move on to the next Rom.
i guess some would see that as a lot of work, but if your not willing to do it.....then you will never really see what good and bad with the Rom.
Make Nandroids and Flash away. at the current moment i can swap between, Miui, Cm7, Infused 2.2.3, and even Hellraiser combos in a matter of minutes WITH ALL MY APPS AND DATA by just grabing my nandroid and flashing ( Of course you will want to know that you cant just go flashing any nandroin on top of another nandroids all willy nilly....so make your sure your current Kernel matches up with the nandroid you plan on restoring.
READ BEFORE FLASHING.

POST 1- This gets it running on ALMOST any ROM on the Infuse 4G. It walks you step by step in setting up your build.prop to acknowledge the libs and flashing it. I recommend doing post 2 if your ROM already has a pre made fix.
POST 2- These are pre made to the ROM which is then just flash and go. None of that editing, required, but also have tweaks and fixes I put in myself to give you the best satisfaction.
Examples of the changes made are battery saving tweaks, forced hardware accelerated graphics if not already enabled, phone model spoofed to the T-Mo Galaxy S II in the market so you can download T-Mo apps like "My Account", carrier ID changed to T-Mobile so you get to see T-Mobile apps in market, a higher events per second value giving you ultra smooth scrolling, and 100% best quality JPEGs. Check post 2 for what ROMs are available
Note, doing post 2's method will spoof it into a T989 (SGSII) so posting on xda will leave the wrong sig unless you change it
Now to the fun part

You are invincible this is great. I have horrible signal at home and this has just made life easier for me. I almost regretted getting the infuse. Just tested and works like a charm I am using this right now. I am super excited.
I bought one of those wireless hubs you carry around with you from clearwireless for $35 a month with unlimited internet so now I can use wifi calling all day long. This has been my workaround since 3G is non existent on unlocked Tmobile Infuse editions.
if you can get 3G working on this with some type of edit that would be amazing lol I'd donate 100 on completion of that project. The stars under my name show I am an honest guy when it comes to donating to the cause. I know that the infuse hardware cant do Tmobile 3G but if there is a workaround that would be awesome.

Not invincinble- just persistent.
Also, don't forget to call T-Mobile ans tell them you have Wi-Fi calling (..somehow) and that you want the wifi unlimited minutes feature added on.
Also, I want everybody to post their ROM names so I can gather a list of confirmed and which way you did it, whether you followed post 1 or you just flashed the darky fix meant only for darky._.
As for 3G - the Galaxy S 4G can get AT&T's 3G bands but for some reason the Infuse doesn't. The radios just don't receive the one missing frequency that T-Mobile airs. No modem update can change that.
It automatically restarts when wifi picks it up. I leave it on all day whether i have wifi or not and it just kicks in when wifi is strong enough.
Currently using ZEUS v5.

When the new version of this rom gets released, is there an easy way to get all of my settings and apps back without having to reinstall everything through titanium backup? Each time I flash a new rom, it takes forever to go through and set my homescreen and apps.
As far as I know, every time you flash a new ROM, you have to do a complete wipe so it doesn't cause any redundancy issues and slow your phone down, or FC's, Random reboots, etc etc.. However, if you're just installing a newer version of this, you might be able to get away with just wiping Cache and Dalvik Cache and not doing the "Factory Reset/Reset All User Data" which means you get to keep all your apps and setting with out causing any problems, similar to as if you were just flashing a theme, kernel, or modem. So as the user "Experiment" always says, Experiment.. lol.. I know I do, I like to see what can I do and get away with or tweaks I can do with out having to flood the forums with questions I can answer myself by just wasting a little of my own time.. lol..

Restoring apps or their data from Gingerbread to ICS is asking for trouble.
Your Options:
1) Disregard this advice and do it anyway (You'll most likely take this route. Try to keep the restores to a minimum).
2) Stick with Gingerbread.
3) Stop being a baby and wipe everything and start over like a grownup.*
*I do this several times a week. Holding onto things makes losing them that much harder. Take the plunge.
If you're worried about your SMS messages you can use SMS Backup and Restore. It's in the Play Store. Be mindful, though, it does not backup MMS. If you want to keep those pictures, save them to your SD.
astro
I use astro to back up apps
Thanks guys. Not really after an ICS ui just looking for a more stable wifi connection. In cm7 i keep dropping my home wifi. It locates and gets a great signal after a power on or reboot, or if i re-enter my passwrd for the ntwrk but then it craps out again after 15 - 30 mins. Any suggestions? Is the cm9 better w wifi?

I am having issues with play music not showing my music from my sd card. I had similiar issue on clean rom and had to clear data on the app and then google play music would find the music on the ext.sd card. I installed beans rom and had the same issue. So figured I would need to do the same. So tried clearing the data on the app but no luck. Reinstalled the rom wipe everything still no luck. It's driving me crazy cuz I loved the rom but nandroided back to clean rom cause need the music app working I can browse with the file explorer and google play plays the music just didn't show any music in its library. I even tried installing the cm music app and both and same thing. Please any ideas I tried everything

No i dont see that. Why should I? Its the weirdest thing cuz on clean rom and beans rom i use google play on both and it seems to work fine on the clean rom. I dont get it
Try an app called SDrescan.
This would happen on my dinc, that app would find the files.

No you shouldn't see it. I had this happen once and some how that file had got in there and was hiding my music from my players.

sdrescan didnt help. I dont know what goin on. Format sd card? Obviously after i backup everything
I think I figured out the issue and the sdcard was getting flakey. Woke up this morning went to work my battery was 100%. I leave the house at 730am. By 1030am I was at 45%. Was like wtf cuz I go all day usually on the same charge so I go into battery stats and see media taking 70% of my battery and the phone was running hot as heck. Took my sd card out and noticed temp was back to normal and the battery drain went away. Thru in a new 32gb sd and since no issues. I am gonna try beans rom again and see if google play can find my music more I am pretty sure it will cuz I started to notice issues accessing the old sd card all of a sudden also before I removed it

Would this be the same concept if pictures are missing that are on sd card from gallery?
After replacing my sd card beans build 8 rom work flawlessly. Music was found right away and it got rid of my battery drain
