[REQ] Button for Songswitching?! - HTC Sensation

Hey.
First, sorry for my bad English.
I'm searching for an Mod/Hack, which enabled Song Switching by holding Volume + or - Button for x Seconds.
MIUI for example, developed a Mod called "4WayReboot_VolumePlus" which has the same function.. but only for MIUI!
And I'm using InsertCoin..
While I'm driving with my car, I can't change the song about the car radio.
Using my mobile phone while I'm driving is to dangerous.
Can someone build anything like that?
Or has someone an idea how can I solve the problem?
It would be VERY VERY helpful for me and maybe for others too!
Thanks!
I hope anybody can understand this

No help? ._.

Why don't you drop the developer of that other app a line, and see if he/she can develop?

I don't know who developed it.

Facing A big problem to CM6RC1, no sounds out?!

Halo everyone, I just flash the new Rom to my 32A magic.
I find everything works fine,,,,but but but!!!!
Lastly, I realise that the speaker doesn't make any sounds out!
No sound when I play music, phone sounds, notice sounds, calling in/out.
None of them works.
I already switch to the Max Volume but still in vain.
What's the problem? Can anyone help?
Thanks in advance

Is it happen after you use camera in some app like twitter or google buzz widget?
Sent from my HTC Magic using XDA App
This happened to me too when flashing cm6 RC1, I have 32a. Tried wiping and reflashing, same thing, no sound whatsoever. Then flashed alan90s cm6-mod just to check, that worked for some reason, now I have sound and everything is normal.
I'm going to close this because it was posted in the wrong section.
Thread merged/deleted/moved/locked!!! This is DEVELOPMENT section not General!!!!
If you want me to open it back up again then I need exe127 to send me a private message requesting where that it should be moved.

App to control phone volume?

I dropped my phone and now the volume buttons rarely works. So is there a app i could use to control the music/call volume?thanks.
Sorry it didnt show the other thread i posted...close this one please.
Volume slider
Yes, there is an app for that, but only if you have a dev-unlock phone
See this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1577919
Don't know of one for fully locked phones.

What about one for call volume? This one is good for master volume but for call volume it doesn't work.
Not aware of any app for in-call volume.
I can see how that might be a problem for you if the volume buttons don't work at all.
Maybe you wanna PM the developer for that app and ask for it to be added?
Alternatively, is it that the volume buttons don't work at all? or do they not work well? You might consider taking off the back cover and trying to improve the contact with the push buttons. (Use small regular screwdriver at 45 degree angle if you have one of those 3 prong screws). Don't know which device you have, but if you check the forum for that phone, many have directions about how to take off back cover (mainly for updating memory card)
Hi,
I have the same problem too. This app works like a charm but not for in-call.
I am not sure if the developer could do something about it.
Unfortunately, because I have less than 10 posts, I am unable to reply in a dev thread.
I have tried to send an email, but not a private message, to the developer and he has not replied so I don't know if he got it or not.
I dont want to email him again cause it would be rude.
Anyone has any idea if it would be possible at least?
Cheers
Hi guys,
No answer to my post
Has anyone the same problem?
Would anyone mind to ask the developer?
Thank you in advance
Ok in case anyone is interested in this:
There is a solution to change the in-call volume manually, it s not an app but it does the job pretty well
see this thread:

CM7 and 'Car Home" problem..

First off I hope this is the proper forum..
I'm running the latest version of CM7, and use the built in 'Car Home' app anytime I'm on the road.. The problem I'm having is that it takes several attempts to exit the app.. When it does my original home screen is slow to come back, and my calendar widgets need to be refreshed because they are all blank after exiting 'Car Home'. Has anyone else experienced this? Is there anything that can be done to fix it?
I've tried several other car apps but they all have speedometers and other things built in that I don't want or need.. I just really like how simple the CM7 app is..
Thanks..
Is your phone plugged in while you are in the car? I had a bad charger that would force my phone into car mode whenever I plugged it in.

[Q] Anybody using Spotify? Notifications question

I use Spotify for music on my M8, and while I've searched all over for a solution I just can't figure this out. When I receive a notification, the music pauses indefinitely. Only when I clear the notification does the music resume. This is contrary to every other Android device I've ever owned, where putting the device on silent or vibrate would stop the music from pausing at all. I've never had one that didn't resume a second or two later.
So, does anybody have any advice for me on this? Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the reply, I gave that a shot but nothing. I did realize though that it only happens on Bluetooth, not with headphones attached. I'm all out of ideas.

There is a setting or option somewhere (cant think of exactly where atm) that disallows apps to read notifications. Try disabling that if you can find it. Sounds like notifications are stealing the audio focus from spotify

Thanks again for trying to help. I know exactly what you're talking about, but I can't find it on the stock ROM either. Either HTC must have removed the ability to do that, or Google did in 4.4.2. Anyway, thanks again. I guess I'll just cross my fingers that they've fixed it in the new version of Spotify that is supposed to come out soon.

That was removed by Google in 4.4.2, was it not?
Download it from play store and turn notification off for that app. Works perfect!

[Q] How to disable the HOME button ?

How to disable the HOME button in the Galaxy S6 ?
Don´want my phone to wake up everytime it is in my trousers.
Is there an apk file for it ?
Thanks !
Umm keep it somewhere else?
Your answer really helped ! [emoji35]
Have you found this to actually be an issue? I can't imagine it'd be so big a deal that you'd want to disable the button altogether.

Well, depending on the trousers I wear, I have found this to be annoying as well. Tight pockets often click the home button by accident and wake up my phone, then it sometimes also manages to unlock the screen and start all kinds of apps, call someone or whatever. They could use the proximity sensor to detect phone is in a pocket, but they didn't...

You don't have the fingerprint security on? Have you tried repositioning the phone? Maybe the home button against your body as opposed to against the pocket? Or phone top down vs bottom up, etc? My pants are usually pretty tight as well but I've never noticed this issue myself (not to say that it doesn't happen, just that I've never noticed it).
Since everyone ignored your question the answer is as follows.
Open generic.kl in root explorer (device/system/usr/keylayout)
Find the line "Key 172 HOME" and commet it out by editing it to "# Key 172 HOME"
If you just want to disable home button wake, i have a workaround here:

To everyone else, whats the point of being a smart ass about his question? if you dont know the fix dont post. Dont pick apart his motives for litterally no reason. Android is about CHOICE.

I have found that many times people ask for a solution to weird problem X but if you ask a bit more problem X is a workaround for problem Y which they figured they couldn't solve, so it's better to try to solve problem Y. That way you really help them.
Very good for google cardboard!

do you need root access on your phone to do that? Because I'm getting "java.io.filenotfoundexception:Read-only file system" error
