(Q) wake with volume key pressed? - Xoom Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

can i wake my xoom up with volume key pressed? if can, how should i do it? thx

I think it's only possible on the AOKP rom. The Codename Android rom shows it as an option but it doesn't work - yet.

how about team eos? do they have this option?

no, but that feature has been requested already. If someone finds a place to give that addition a +1, please tell me, 'cause I really would love to see that feature implemented

Sounds really awesom!
So this won't work with cyanogen roms? Just the modaco custom ones?
tested it on MCR 1.9
works great!
thanks for cooperating with modaco, as i wish!
you are a good dev! i can't wait to buy the pro version

At the moment yes, patches have been submitted. Hopefully in his next release. The more people request it the better chance on getting it included.

Installed and running nicely on my N1 !!
[REQUEST]: Please add Seesmic as another app that can be intercepted (I don't use Twitdroid).
[REQUEST]: Can a custom color wheel be shown when choosing a custom color, in addition to the current way of flashing the trackball in the color chosen?
Thanks for this very cool app!

A Pro version under development which will enable you to add unlimited applications. It will even make the trackball flash when the app doesn't.

If people are happy can they leave positive feedback in marketplace. I have a few people marking it down because of no CM5.
Beta2 coming soon with "Test Alert" button.
~
rated 5 stars
could i ask, y CM5 was not part of this, does cm5 have different way of being built compared to modaco roms.
i thought CM5 was a popular ROm.
thankyou
because the Chef hat to built it inside of his rom
and paul from modaco did it yet
and CM did not yet
i mean feel free to use one of the two Modca Custom Roms, in my opinion they are better then CM, because they are based on the Nexus One builts and not based on AOSP sources if i remember correct
No "thank you" to the alpha testers?
Sad, no Cyanogen yet.. will stick with the alpha then.

This is a re-release. The reason the last release was pulled was because things that I did not notice during testing were happening. Various applications were crashing and other bugs. Sorry for the issues.

Awesome. Lightning fast, contacts and Google are working great, and I haven't had any lock-screen freezes so far like I did frequently on 2.0. I love the new battery indicator addition.

DUDE! I can't even begin to tell you how good this rom is!!!! It incorporates all the best features,,,minimal moto blur if any,,,black notification bar with actual white lettering which seems to be a hard thing these days for some devs, super fast. I am playing with it now and so far i am finding no bugs at all.
GET THIS ROM NOW AND SUPPORT HIS WORK!
Sweetness....
Matt, this rom is SICK! I just noticed a few of the bugs today with 2.0 and lowe and behold, when i get home you were already on it and had 2.5 out...... MAJOR KUDOS BRO!!! Keep up the WONDERFUL work, and btw...... the black bar is tight as hell.... 640k is a retard, don't change a thing.
Thanks Matt!

App for double-tap-Home-button-to launch app for ICS LPY roms?

this is the one function I really miss with LPY. In fact its such a big deal for me I'm not switching to ICS just so I can have the double-tap-home-button functionality!
Is there a corresponding mod or app I can use for this, in the LPY roms?
There's Advanced Home Button that I used to use on my SGS1
You can give it a shot

yeah reading the reviews looks like a lot of people have problems with it. anybody tried with any of the LPY roms yet? Could you let us know if it worked if you've tried it on the ICS LPY roms? thanks in advance!
the other one to try is this app: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1299923
can somebody try and lemme know if this works on LPY?
what do you mean double tap home? Im on LPY ics and when I double tap my home button the Voice talk starts up. I swear when I was GB it did the same thing with the Tap & Speak or say "Hi Galaxy".
yeah actually thats what I was wondering exactly. with double-tap home button I tried Criskelo's ICS and nothing happens. COuld you try that homemyhome app I posted above and see if it is able to replace the Vilingo/Voice Talk app, to start up a different app?
ps. please do necessary backups first

I would love to help with that but unfortunately I did not go with the rooted method for LPY, at the time it seemed a little too risky. I did try to install anyway but of course without success as it shows there is an apk with the same signature
think you've to uninstall the Vilingo/Voice Talk app for that to work. thanks for trying anyway.

A great ROM getting worse, first it was the bad decision to add Xposed now this horrible Halo option. I grant that there are users that like some of these features, but I don't need them and they are forced on us. Halo can't be turned off from what I see. Anyone know how to disable it?

How to answer kindly to tour post ? OK first don' t say Halo ils horrible, just say you don' t like it, and yeah, i love that feature.
Secondly, halo ils not forced to you, you just have to use your brain : a video demo is posted on the first post, on this 4min video, you' ill see how to disable it, and do a minimum researches before crying like that.

How to answer kindly. First, in my opinion Halo is horrible, period. Happy you find a use for it. Second, I searched extensively but could not find the video you reference that tells us folks without a brain how to disable Halo. Oh wait after searching 20 different ways I found the video on ParanoidAndroid, not on the thread for LS 2.7 for i9300 (stupid me should have know to look elsewhere), still no option to disable Halo. I did find numerous posts complaining of issues with Halo. I even found a dev that claims to have fixed the problem, and made his own unofficial LS 2.7b. Third, there shouldn't be a need for a video to show us folks who don't use our brains how to disable Halo, should be a simple check box. Enable Halo ? Forth, there are issues with the Halo settings, they are not sticking, and I am not the only user complaining about it. Fifth, if a minimum search had pointed to a simple solution then I would not have cried, I would have said "oh silly me for not seeing that setting and hey they added a feature some other user might like", but there wasn't a simple solution and Halo is on by default and places an icon on my notifications bar which causes my antivirus settings to be loaded into Halo. It would be nice if new features were disabled by default and the user decides if they want to use it. PIE controls is a classic example, something I think is horrible but others love, but it is off by default and I can turn it on and off at a whim. I can't do that with Halo.
So why did I complain? Perhaps a developer will look at the issue and fix it. But I suspect that like you they think it is awesome. I know you guys work hard but I really did leave iPhone for these same types of reasons, supposed features you can't turn off. So I'll have to deal with killing that great feature all the time, oh yeah.
