let me say again mt4g rooted ,rom ice glacier wifi was not work try to do a factory reset a red triangle came with to reboot press power +vol down phone shut off didnt comne back on plug power cord in no ppower light no nothing seach forum could find answer

Sounds like the same exact problem I had about a month ago after trying to flash a new splash image but messed up some where. I figure that my problem was that I hard bricked my mt4g. I never found a fix. I ended up calling cc and asking for a warranty exchange.
I didn't know at the time but I heard if you have eng hboot you can flash through adb if you get bricked. So if you were on eng hboot you might want to try adb and flash the stock zip file or another rom see if that works.

Could be bricked. Unplug it remove the battery and let it sit for a little bit. when you put the battery back in hold power button down and volume button down. If your lucky you'll get hboot. Then go to recovery and restore.

Can't get into download mode

This is driving me crazy. I can not get my phone to go into download mode. i am holding both volume buttons down and when i plug in the usb cable it just goes to the charging screen. i have root on 2.3.3 and i am trying to get cwm installed some how so i can do a nandroid backup. am i doing something wrong or is there a way to adb into download mode?

You on GB? Try holding volume up and pwr button. If not, a jig always work.

Download mode gone.

So, I got soft bricked. I tried to odin back to stock but ive tried every three button combo to get back in to download mode with nothing working. I try pulling battery then holding both vol keys then inserting battery and then plugging in usb cable while its plugged into the computer and odin is running. Ive tried every other variation of this as well. I have no idea what to do next, please help. Plugging in the USB after holding the keys only brings up the SAMSUNG screen. I can three button into 3e recovery but of course that is no help. Please help

Follow my first signature link. Read it all...a few times.

Try volume down, put battery in, plug USB cable that is already in PC into phone.

Yeah, I tried that as well. I read that thread and didn't learn anything new. I've been through soft bricks before, many times but never have I lost download mode.

If your getting recovery then download mode is not gone..... put your phone inrecovery mode, if you know how to use adb, or even have it, open command prompt and type: adb devices to see if it recognizes your phone. Should say xxxxx in recovery mode or something. Then type: adb reboot download. This will probably be the only way you will get to download as it sounds like your buttons remapping got screwed up somehow...

Tried it, adb detected nothing. I don't have cwm, I have unmodded 3e. Adb didn't detect any device and I never had USB debugging enabled. I bought a jig off eBay as my last hope, any luck with these?

[Q] help phone wont boot just vibrates

after updating to insertcoin RC5 rom my phone wont start.....it just vibrates then stops the vibrates again......it goes through that cycle but doesn't start up....how can i fix...

Ok first have you tried to get it to boot to the Hboot screen?. Next if you have and it will not then you can try using ADB to manually boot it into recovery.

Pull the battery.
Put it back in.
Hold the power button and down volume until the bootloader screen comes up. Select 'recovery' and hit the power button again.
You should boot into your recovery module. (4EXT or Clockwork, whatever the case may be)
You can restore your saved backup ROM from there.
If you didn't save before flashing the new ROM...you did an oopsie. But all is not lost. You can download another ROM via your computer, transfer it to your SD card (which you can do directly from 4EXT recovery if you are using it) and start over.
You almost certainly did not break your phone beyond repair by just flashing a ROM. So relax. It'll be okay.

It may be your battery.
Can you get another one to see if it is that?
Maybe your local phone shop could help you out with that...

You said you get in recovery so hboot is there too if you can't or won't try I am done helping

Well if its dead tmob can't get in too call them and tell them they will send a replacment then u have 7 days to unroot and send back

the light blinks red sometimes when i plug in the charger or when i try to turn it on

Find a diffent plug and see so many phone use this one your USB might be bad or cord if its not red or green your not getting connection or something if u find a wire and red your good if not call tmob and say your phone won't turn on

I factory reset mine and then installed the stock os md5 to my phone. Works now

Samsung Infuse issue

I went ahead and tried to return to stock my samsung infuse using heimdale. Now here is my issue, it rebooted because it failed but it will not come up. I have been holding the power button but I do not see the samsung logo come up. Can someone help me on this issue. I have let my samsung attached to my computer

Have you tried entering download mode again?

yes nothing comes up. I think I see a flash but that is it no samsung logo nothing

Do you happen to remember in what partition it exactly failed?
Maybe you need a jig to enter download mode, or you either have sadly bricked your phone.

Take your finger off of the power button.
You won't see a Samsung logo when going to download mode.

Yep just to be sure. This is for (odin) Take out battery to turn it off then replace. Hold the volume up and down buttons and plug in your cord and even if you don't see anything. Or if you do it might be a triangle with a explanation mark. Which is good its in download mode. And on the computer screen with Odin it should say added in the big boxed area

Ok I see the Download screen and the triangle which Odin do I use?

You can use either odin or heimdall packs, all located on the iset thread.
Odin packs should include the odin program.
