prob iz i hav lost my imei number nd wen i try to check it by dialing *#06# it just shows 00000000....
pls help me out...

i just reset my fit by dialing *2767*3855#
nd after that i found my sim card was giving no signal its just showing EMERGENCY CALLS ONLY...
i dont knowhow it happnd...

let me warn you though, changing IMEI is against indian laws.
bro i flahed ddkt1 used it for almost 10 days...installd a lot of applications...so phn mem..was very low ..therefore i tried factory reset...but after then...its imei is lost
bro m just a noob sory...can u just help me more...pls

You should try this...
Next time you shouldn't do the factory reset before you asked someone more experience in it..

before doing something more sily pls go to samsung care and try to be as much noob as you can be.
Secondly pls. dont try to write any random iemi no. as it is against the law and can get you into serious trrouble.

I came to know about rooting, when i searched whether i could install Adobe Flash Player for my FIT. Heard about FitDroid and the great developer viswanath patil
Now I want to root my phone ! and get the fitdroid (stable for my device)
I no nothing abt "flashing" "adb shell" etc etc..
I googled a lot and learned abt the advantages and disadvantages of Rooting !
I spent hours in the forum to get a solution bt was confused by the posts by different people (even scared when i heard abt boot loop 'n all that !! )
I also need to know how to create a backup and detailed steps to UNROOT the device. Please please please be kind to me,..

afaik, it doesnt ask you for root permissions....

odin is a application fr ur pc wich is used fr flashing any rom or cwm(clockworkmod) recovery..
1nce u flash cwm using odin jst insert d root file in ur sd nd boot in cwm nd den flash d root file as per steps wich u hve been provided by us..

there are the same chances someone bricking it by rooting than you doing
just follow the instructions carefully

i will give you 100% working process of rooting your device.
in just 3 simple steps,
use odin,
flash cwm
i will give u root.zip file which then flash through cwm.
if don't understand all above & afraid of doing it,

Oops ! i did fladhed with st21i stock rom... and the wonderfulthing is that my xperia is not tipo dual any more ...
so i did tried dlashing with st21i2 stock rom .again came the same issue no imei....
now i flashed again with the first rom ...nw back to single sim
by the way i did hit thanxz coz u helped me ...

First of all install proper drivers for canvas 2 in your pc.
Pls use this thread to install proper drivers --->CLICK HERE TO GO TO THAT THREAD.
Then after installing the drivers,sp flash tools will detect your phone when connected.
so then use THIS THREAD HERE to root your phone.
Also pls post any queries and doubts in relevant thread. Like if you face any problem while installing drivers then pls ask in that drivers thread.

Actually framaroot works fine with both boromir and faramir* so u can go for it.u dont need pc or drivers. Jst an apk to install dats it so for beginners it would be easy
