Stealth Ranger Case Review

Considering they don't make an otterbox(yet) and the only available tough case is the casemate(which is out of stock currently) I ordered this

Allegedly, it's supposed to be extremely durable, I will keep you guys posted once I have it in hand.

did you check on the case mate website and Amazon? usually one will have stock if the other doesn't.
that case looks cool but doesn't look like it would protect the phone if it dropped screen size down.

Yea, the casemate site directly, said it was "temporarily out of stock", ebay the only tough one available in to order in the US at the time of looking would make my xperia look like a tangerine, I did check amazon too, but I find that if I were to get a dual layer case for it, it would be the body glove diamond case, it's about half the price, and doesn't look too different, and yes I'm aware how silly I sound thinking about the cost of a case considering what I just paid for this phone lol

very nice case, its subtle, thin, has a good feel to it, if you need something more rugged, I would suggest either the body glove diamond case, or the case mate tough case.

Mind post some pics of that awesome case? How much it cost to ship to Singapore?

Update, I've only had it for a week and broke it, contacted seller, he is sending a replacement one at no charge.

water resistant S6 case?

I'm looking for a simple case for my S6 to use temporarily to go to the beach and not have to worry about sand & dust and perhaps the occasional drop of water. I'm not looking for waterproof nor big armor. I saw the ULAK Liquid Shark on Amazon, but no reviews, dunno whether there are others. Anyone have any experience?

I'm currently at the beach, I bought a life proof case and it worked great. It's bulky, and I wouldn't use it as a daily case, but for the beach I'd recommend it

That lifeproof case costs $70 on Amazon, a little pricey for what I'm looking for... But thanks for the pointer!

Just got it. It's not bad. For the price it's good bargain. It doesn't have the fit and finish of a lifeproof, but it's only $15. Calls sound good. They can hear me fine. So far so good.

Ideally I would like a wireless charging case like the one Sony made for Xperia Z3. Don't think that it's going to happen without the contacts though.

looks good but too expansive and not enough protection on the right side...

Watch out for this case. I've got some scratches at display after 4 days of using this case. I am trying to explain this thing with Sony Poland.

Yes, indeed.
I got a response from the Sony support. They write, I sent the phone and case so they could look at this. They promise that if the case is actually the cause of it is covered by the warranty. I do not know whether it will repair or replacement. On Monday I'm going to send phone and let you know how it goes.
(I hope my English is understandable)

English is excellent. Best of luck getting it replaced. Keep us posted. I haven't received mine yet but I'll guarantee I will give it a good look prior you putting my device in it if it causes scratches.

I've ordered the SCR42, will keep an eye out on the scratching,
Was it on the window are where the scratches where?

I have the Orzly Fusion Bumper, this one is quite interesting for those who want a real bumper, and don't mind having thick edges, the screen is never in direct contact with the surface (when the phone is turned upside down). I find it quite un-ergonomic, I can't hold well the Z5.
I also order the Orzly FlexiSlim, this one will protect the back for sure, but no the screen anymore. However, it looks very thin (like a second skin layer).
Those two are temporary, because I'm waiting for Case-Mate to release the "Barely There" case for the Xperia Z5. I already have one for my Z1 and its gorgeous and very ergonomic.

I was looking at the case mate tough.. Anyone using one?

I've used for Z3. Excellent case, although a little big and visible. I used while climbing in the mountains and trekking. Perfectly protect your phone from bumps and scratches. I've never used it in the city. I take care of device and there was no need to protect it so hard in the city.

Are there any leather, wood or other high end case yet available for the z5c? I like premium cases but can only find cheaper ones

With my previous Xperias and more recently my HTC One m7, I've used a leather case pouch from PDAir (such as http://www.pdair.com/index.php/sony-xperia-z5-compact-leather-pouch-case.html). None of the ones I've owned shown much wear or tear either, so I trust their quality. Haven't used any screen protectors either since carrying my phones in these pouches (but that's probably due to me being pretty careful in general).
Only gripe I guess would be your phone does become a bit thicker when in the pouch, so it takes up more space in your pocket...but I'm pretty used to it after 2 years with this pouch+m7. Might consider getting a pouch again for my z5c when it arrives, but thinking I might try something new just for the sake of change

Yeah mate I've got the same sleeve used with my z1 compact, z3 compact and now z5 compact.
I just bought one that matches the closest dimensions for the z compact. It was either a galaxy s3 or s4 or iPhone 6 or something.
Just check the dimensions on game arena. And pack and smooch will have the one you want.

Anyone tried to use sleeves made for iPhoneX?

I was comparing the measurements between our Essential Phone and iPhone X and I found that their sizes are pretty similar. So I am wondering if our phones might fit in this:

Look for a leather sleeve on eBay to fit the Sony Xperia Z3+.
Really good fit since that phone is about the same size as the PH-1.
