Can thee SGS kernel flasher be used to flash kernels and roms on the Galaxy 3?
i think it cant
how to flash G3MOD 2.3 oc kernel n galaxy 3? i tried SGS Kernel flasher but nothing happened!

Don't use it. Only use the Odin for our ddevice or ur phone may be hard bricked

what do you mean by that.Hard brick happens only if you flash sbl.bin and boot.bin.The worst that can happen in this case is soft brick or if you are really unlucky there are some chances of "KERNEL PANIC" if you are flashing kernel.
Yes. But some ppl for other devices have hard bricked before using other software's for some reason. Better to b safe than sorry u know

There is kernel flasher for g3 too created by marcellusbe.
1) Just download the .zip from here forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1104842
2)place ur zimage file in the .zip and u can flash.
Mostly all the kernels in the forum are available as .tars(odin flashable) or .zip(cwm flashable). when u hav a .tar and if u dnt hav a pc, u can extract zimage from it and follow the above steps

Does anybody know what happens to the link2sd script when installing the new G3MOD 2.4.1 kernel on CM7 A7?
Link2sd always reports that it could not mount the 2nd partition and recreates the mount script.
After flashing back the CM7 1.2 kernel link2sd works fine again.
Is there something I could do to get link2sd running on G3MOD 2.4.1?
use hd2sd...it works flawlesly...

I'm afraid that HybridData2SD is no alternative for link2sd. I do not want to move all my apps to the SD as it is much slower than the internal memory. So want to have most of the important apps in internal memory and the others on the SD.
Link2sd did a great job to achieve this, but it does not work on G3mod 2.4.1 anymore.
Does anybody know why?

One more thing, how do you partion sdcard in stock cm1.3 hv kernel on kyrillos v10 beta 2
Partitioning should work within CWM.
By the way: This is not the Thread to ask such questions.

mate, use minitool partition wizard...or u can try to partition in cwm

actually the thing is...i want to increase my internal memory using 'ungaze script' ..for which i have to make a partition using recovery...
for that i want clockworkmod recovery...being on the stock firmware .. can you help on that.
well....it's easier method to use pc & minitool partition wizard( it's free)
..or u can try to flash g3mod kernel on your stock rom with odin...via download mode....i think you must be rooted too...
btw on which stock rom are you afterall?

I have a little problem with xda website. Whenever i want to view it the page loads, but my phone reboot at 90% of page loading.
Experiencing this with both stock and dolphin browsers, and kyrillos or purumod roms
Please help me because I had some force close on some other websites

I have the same problem on Kyorarom 5.2 with dolphin mini without using any app2sd app or script. My phone reboot, but we only see the bootanimation (no samsung 5800 logo or g3mod) and didn't ask for sim code

My file system are the original of Kyorarom 5.2, I didn't change it

on which rom are u currently?and kernel also, pls...because astrum made u diferent fs...for data-stl7 & cache-stl8 & system- stl6....fscurrent should be same as g3mod's....i guess u can't download anything from Google Play(new market)..,right?...correct me if i'm wrong...

yup...you're right abt that...you can convert fs...easy...
edit: looks like purumod has diferent fs hence hot reboots
try this: download this fs.convert file and pop it in sdcard/Android/data/astrum/*..if you're on purumod with astrum kernel...it'll convert ur fs....but note: check astrum thread by moikop if his kernel supports fs conversion...i'll check myself and get back here asap
edit2: yes u can go by this method it's suported....
so...now when you pop file above in astrum folder and reboot phone..after that you'll most likely stuck at boot...don't panic...you're not softbricked...it's just that tiny file converting ur fs.....after leaving..phone in that state for at least 20min(make a cup of tea or sth to relax)...just hold power key untill reboot (force reboot)...ur phone should boot with same fs as on kyrillos' rom...and you'll be able to go to xda in dolphin again...
lemme know how did go...if you'll do that, pls
edit3: and now ur sd-ext partition should be ext4 too

I don't know, never changed something, but when i make a nandroid backup, it's said sd-ext not found, skipping blablabla...
