Bluetooth connectivity / media player app remote code? - Android Apps and Games

Anyone know apart from the Dev site where I can find help regarding how to connect to a PC via bluetooth and then using the app to control my PC or even just using simple buttons as keys so they can be used for a media player such as VLC?

gMote 2.0 has this feature though it is very buggy and a pain to use sometimes.

Depending on your device and what software is already installed on your computer, "UPnPlay" will add universal plug and play to your phone if not present, allowing you to connect to many different UPNP devices over wi-fi. This allows my Droid to connect to Windows Media player to play just about anything (audio/video) in my library. Should have been included in all 2.2 builds in my opinion.

Audiogalaxy for sure. Its amazing.
thanks, audio galaxy is just what i needed.
Plex is pretty good for video streaming
Audiogalaxy does audio well but is less perfect from the video streaming point of view
DLNA
I'm using J. River Media Center with the Android Gizmo app to stream media (it's free on the Market). So I can use my Desire HD as the server or client and send media anywhere in my home over wifi. Solid app but takes a bit of setting up to start.. and the Windows client is not free.
Winamp has such a feature as long as you install winamp on your system and setup it's network player it should be really easy.

I've tried them all. I gave up my zune since I didn't want to update it or delete music for new stuff. I'd rather have access to my music anywhere.
Audiogalaxy- first thing I tried. It didn't pick up all my music regardless of how many times I redid the library. The audio quality was ok but it was a really basic app and website.
Homepipe- useless since it only streams if the app is active. Hit home and you're sitting in silence.
Subsonic- didn't try it too long. Another basic app.
Jukefly- still using this. Love it. It installed on my htpc no problem and the app is nice outside of having to manually force close the service. Quality is adjustable by network type. It picks up my music, and adds new stuff without having to refresh the library. The Internet app is great foo. If your server is off it will still display your library but stream the audio from youtube. I highly recommend it.

I usually just mount my music network share with cifs manager, then any app can access the files on the share.
I see that the thread is relatively old, but maybe some of the people still have their setups working.
Did you do something special to the setup on Windows, because I would like to do more or less the same, but neither my computer sees my phone nor the other way around.
I have another UPNP-server in my Wifi which can be used by my phone as well as my computer, but what I would love to do is tell my computer to play what's on the server using my phone as remote. It worked nicely with mpd and mpDroid, but I would love to have this setup also work with Win7...
Any hints?

DLNA - How to?

I watched a video not long ago of playing music with your HTC sensation through the Playstation 3 via DLNA. I've had no luck on setting it up. Has anyone did this and if so how?
No idea how to setup DLNA with a PS3, I am having problems with my Sony BDP-S570. Any help is appreciated.
I was wondering this too, when i use connected media app and select video my Tv shows up , but when I select it as a player it always state that its unresponsive, tv doesnt show the phone as a media server either
Download Twonky app from market. Open app, go through settings tv/other device should pick up phone. Any probs let me know...
Not sure about ps3 but i have used 2 player (free market app) to play music on a variety of DLNA devices.
Oops didn't see this was an old thread that got bumped!

Works like a charm!!!
You can even share online content
Has anyone had any luck sharing media to an Xbox 360? I can stream photos only, using the connected media app, via WMP on my Win7 notebook.
I'd like to know if it's possible to share stuff (photos, music + videos) directly to my XB, using DLNA or not, either way.

It's dead easy (when you know how, and for Microsoft's definition of "dead easy")
First, you need to set your Xbox up as a Media Center extender, so with both the Xbox and your computer on the network and no firewall blocking anything between them:
1. On the 360 start Media Center, it will give you a numeric code
2. On the computer start Media Center and add an extender (tasks, then along to the right)
3. Enter the code the 360 displays and you should now have the 360 accessing the MC of your computer (you can close MC on the computer)
4. Open Connected Media on your phone and select the type of media you fancy streaming
5. Select the media (for photos, it starts a slideshow starting from the pic you select, if your pics are too large then they won't show for long due to their loading times, but you can pause them on the phone and manually go through them), you should then be taken to the player screen where you can select the "Xbox 360 Media Center Extender" and done
See? Wasn't what was required obvious?
Oh you'll need your computer on whenever you want to use the 360 as a MCE, but you don't need to log in (with W7 at least - the MCE logs in with it's own account in the background).
Basically, the 360 doesn't enter DLNA mode unless it's acting as a MCE, of course there's always the chance MS will release an update that allows DLNA without needing MC on a PC, but I wouldn't hold your breath.

[Q] WM as Upnp Media Renderer in Networks

Hi,
I've an old WM6.5 device that I'm not using anymore, because of a few defects. I'm now using an Android Device with the App Bubble upnp. In this App it is possible to stream media AND also to send it to a remote media renderer. Is there any App I could use only to receive the media stream I started from my Android(or any other device with this funtionalaty) Device? Than I could use my WM as a Wireless Sound decoder, that is connected to my Sound System. It would be really nice to have my Media controlled only by using wifi. I've tryed Pocket Player but it doesn't have this special receiving option.
Sorry for my bad english and thanks.

[Q] Android Streaming to PC

Hello guys,
I have a Desktop PC as a home media center.
Could you tell me if there is any app using which i could use my Speakers connected to my PC for streaming music on my Android through WiFi?
Thanks in advance.
Well I don't know much about streaming, but you might be able to set up a vnc server for your device
Setting up a vnc server allows you to control your device from your PC, so if you play media on your android, it will play on the PC
This might be a good app to start with https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.schumi.vncs&hl=en

[Q] Streaming from android to PC

Hey guys,
I know it is quite common to stream media from PC to android or stream content from android to a smart TV or Chromecast etc; but is there any even reasonably elegant solution to stream media to PC.
I am well aware that I could use VNC (or similar) to control the PC or access files on my tablet from my PC using an FTP setup, however I am looking to playback media through PC from my devices.
Can anybody help?

I have used this app but I was not able to stream it, what can be the possible reasons?
not to fimiliar with similar apps. but ya bubbleupnp is weird if you have movies or pics they have to be in the DCIM?/the camera folder where the device saves stuff from the camera.
