Attached another pictured, does anyone know why I cant theme the icon in red? Ive changed it in vending.apk but I still get the old icon....

I dont remember where to find it exactly... but i think its systemUI.apk related! look into that!
PD: If not, then it should be on framewor-res.apk

For anyone else looking its SystemUI.apk res/value/drawables.xml

Have you had a look in com.htc.resources? I think it maybe common_icon_indicator_replies or common_icon_messages_on? But i could be wrong. Also if it's ICS then im not sure as ive tried making changes to ICS that havent shown up.

Bumping for new question!!
I can't remember which one does it, but I have changed all three.
stat_sys_install_complete.png in res/drawable-hdpi, drawable-hdpi-v9, and drawable-hdpi-v11
In GB it is in Vending.apk
and in ICS it is PhoneSky.apk

as far as I know so far no one has been able to get a clear screen going for the 2.1 roms

You can just delete the png image in the htcresoures.apk and the PNG in the lockscreen.apk should work. I did it on flips rom and it worked.

when I looked into it on DC it looked like everything was jpg not png I guess maybe its just DC that we cant get it going then.

Works on Flipz 2.0b2 and Damages roms did not test on Flipz 2.0b.
ok chubz need a little more help, I flashed the zip and it got rid of the bar but I cant seem to figure out how to clear out the cached lockscreen. and pointers

Don't know what mean by clear the cached lockscreen. All I did was install and everything was fine didn't have to do anything else.

I set a lockscreen and when I flashed the zip you posted it cleared the bar off the lockscreen but the image I set is still there.

exactly what I want no background but I actually wouldnt mind the bar just want a clear background.
So I did I metamorph to change my 3g icon and when I look through my file managers, whether its astro or root explorer I can't seem to find that file or same icon, iv done a search and it comes up with nothing. But from just looking around I can find different 3g icons but not the one I'm running. So I guess my question is, is there a way to find it or get rid of the morph I did?
Metamorph applies the image to the apk itself so the only way to view the file or revert back to what you had, you will either have to download and decompile the apk or reflash the previous apk to revert back.

Found it and got the 4g icon too, even deleted the dormant 3g file so when not doin anything, iv lot less goin on up there, thanks for your help

I have no idea but you could look in /system/framework/framework-res.apk/res or
/system/framework/htc.resources.apk or look in /system/app/browser(or whatever its called)/res.
Hello everyone, I re-edited this post. I would like to know if there is a way to edit the framework.apk and go to the bools (I think) and refit some of the XML codes so we could have our old gingerbread lock animation, all help will be appreciated. Thank you.

best way to find out? try it! im not a fan of it, so im not even going to bother, but if you root, keep it and copy the files to system, it should work in theory...
but im pretty sure that you have to reboot for the settings to stick :/

And to the OP I don't know but like the above poster said try to copy the files you need to /SYSTEM and then use the FastReboot app, to trick your phone into believing that you have rebooted it and hoefully the changes will stick.

I ended up doing this through the UOT Kitchen online. Issue is in the notification pull down its still a 4 bar signal and my 3G icons never changed.
Need help, i decopmiled systemui.apk and made a modification in drawble-ldpi folder.
Then i recompiled it and replaced it in system/app, but status bar wont show up.
Am i forgettting any thing here while recompiling?
And after recompiling the apk size decreased a bit than original??
Can anybody tell whats wrong??

If there is a thread for issues that are pretty much the same maybe, but I would also think you should use the sites search to check if anyone has come up with an answer (unless you already have done this)
