Phone crashed tried to fix it, now no signal

Hi guys!
I'm a little new to all this Android stuff and tried to learn how to fix my phone but I've been reading around in circles now for two days and still can't make heads or tails out of it.
I've got a LG P920 Optimus 3D that has stopped working.
Now what happened is it froze like a it had before and didn't want to shut down when I held the power button so I took out the battery. When I turned it back on it got stuck at the LG logo right after the LG sound played.
I tried some sort of LG update but that didn't work then I tried a couple of things I found on different forums something to do with the LGflasing tool or something witch also didn't work (or at least I don't know what I'm doing) and at the end I was able to hold some vol+3d+power and got a recovery menu and wiped everything I could find.
Now the phone turns on fine and everything works except for the phone part. I don't get asked for a PIN and it just says "no network" with any SIM card.

Kernel: 2.6.25.7
SW v: LGP920-V10K-SEP-17-2011
Can someone pleas help me and explain what I'd have to do to get this thing working again because currently I'm out of ideas and I have no idea where to start.
Can I do something on the phone to make it work or do I need to flash something and if so what and how. I'm really lost here and can't seem to make heads or tails out of all this.

Find here in xda forum in section for our phones "how to flash kdz file easer.." something like that.look in develop directory.i try to find exact link and will post.

I punched in *#06# and it just outputs IMEI and blank. I'm guessing there should be a number outputted. What would this mean?

You wont connect to network till you get IMEI back. This is baseband problem. Check your PM i will send you instructions what to flash and how to restore IMEI.

Yes success!
I was able to use the method in the link above to put a newer rom on the device and it seems to be working fine.
Thank you very much guys. This is all very new to me. I hope it doesn't crash again since I was scared that I lost all of my contacts but thankfully I had a backup.

Think you could send them to me as well? I too deleted the IMEI and the process found here dont work, the sofware tutty doesnt respond and cant flash with KDZ because the sofware fails, thanks in advance

You cant write IMEI with hyper terminal until your IMEI is that strange number. If you cant get it that way with smartflash tool (erase CP). Flash lg prada baseband that will do same thing. After that flash 21e baseband and restore imei with hyperterminal.
Edit: check if you got drivers instaled.

Rare Baseband

i got this phone (is a tracphone lgl95g) y have flashed weapong2x i want to update my baseband in order for fix gps lock problems (im nicaraguan and my retired mytouch 4g dont have any problems with gps lock ) my baseband says NOV 07 , the lg tool says that my phone is already updated an say version V10F the allinoneg2x tool say the same :S i need help for fix gps or update baseband, i try tutorial but i couldnt done (sorry for my bad english lol)

I followed some tutorials but without success, I think my phone is some other type p999, all in one tool G2X tells me the v10c version is not supported, and I think the baseband chip is not the same as having tmobile, I hope you can help me I know it's ICS is close but I would update my baseband
PD: virtual windows xp with virtualbox

I remember reading somewhere that the tracphone G2x is NOT the same thing as the T-Mobile one, and isn't compatible (I think jboxer said something about it).
What is the model number under the back cover? That's probably the accurate model

I want to upgrade my baseband because in any ASOP rom, "message sent" always shows me even when I have balance in my carrier or sent to random inexisting number, to give an example if I send an SMS to "123456789" I get "message sent" , being that it is impossible to send a sms to that number, if I can not upgrade my baseband, i would like to know if there is any way to fix this please
I think it may be a mistake to see if the message was sent, and that's why I always shows "message sent"

The phone you have is an unreleased prototype that was supposed to end up on tracfone's network but later cancelled. It's basically the same thing as the g2x but has minor differences that could cause you trouble.

I remember something I read about the Tracphone P999 being unable to be unlocked and other restrictions it has because it was going to be marketed real cheap but only able to work with that service provider.

I dont now about that , jboxer say on his thread that, but i have a unlocked tracfone p999 unlocked by box service e_e
Any idea about the sms problem in aosp?
if this could help Somethimes during i am sending sms (always in aosp) my phone drop the signal

How did they unlock your phone? Was it with a hardware box such as an Octopus Box?
The cell radio modem is the same as in the G2X/P999, a Qualcomm, not the same as in the O2X/P990.

Yes i guess that was hardware unlock with a box (i dont know what box) mmmm ok if the baseband chip js the same g2x chip why i have this error on the lg tool ? :/

The LG tool checks the phone's IMEI and ROM version before it will authorize updating. If the IMEI isn't in the database for a particular update, LG's update server won't authorize updating. Did you try the offline update method?

Yes the method that i used is offline with the script http mini server in the screenshot you could see it e_e

When the package is downloaded from the internet Windows 7 blocks applications from running. Did you unblock the dll and .exe files (Properties -> General) and set each .exe to run as administrator first (Properties -> Compatibility)? Did you turn Windows Enabler On before running anything else? Next, run the http server then the update.

I used offline method in windows xp virtual machine , i will try tonight with windows 7, i turn on window enabler before to begin the procedure e_e

I've used Virtual Windows XP successfully. The problem with it is that the USB port disconnects and has to be manually reconnected to continue updating. The problem with Windows 7 is that there's an inherent flaw in the LG updater which caused problems which I think have been fixed with the last updater. Try what I've told you in Windows 7, I've successfully done it but, if that doesn't work, try Windows XP mode.

Have you resolved the issue? I am experiencing a quite similar problem with my Motorola XT912. The thing is that it works on some ROMs but it doesn't on just a few.

No..the problem has not reslived
..that still the same problem in my phone

[Q] my roaming issue- please tell me what prl you have

I posted in another thread that I cannot roam in Canada. I'm on cm10.1.2. I don't get any cell service at all, nevermind data. I have received 2 text messages after found a factory wipe, but then lost my network again.
I'm wondering if I have an old or corrupt prl file. The version I'm running is 15234. The way to check this is settings--aboutphone--status, then scroll down & check what version you're on. If a few people could check that for me& post here I'd be very thankful.

Same here.

Solved my issue. It wasn't my prl. I used the phone info app & changed my radio band to "pcs" which allows my phone to find the local cdma network. It won't get data, but I don't mind that.

[Q] LG G2 VS980 mmi code question?

I have a LG G2 VS980 (Verizon version) and I am tying to access the phone's service menu that's accessible from the phone's dialer using "codes" or "commands" (ex: 3845*#980#) but i am coming up unsuccessful. There's a video on YouTube entitled "How to enable 4g lte on LG G2" that shows what I'm trying to do (can't post direct links atm)
I have put in every code that the internet has to offer (full list below), but the only one that works is ##program980 which takes me to Verizon's hidden menu, and not the phone's original service menu. It seems as though only the Verizon version of this phone is unable to do this, so I'm assuming they locked this feature from being able to be accessed. Now my question is, if I root the phone, will that allow me to gain access to this hidden menu? Or would I be able to flash a stock at&t G2 rom since those phones seem to be able to access the menu? Any help would be much appreciated.
Codes tried: 5689#*980# , 3845#*980 , 3845#*801# , 3845#*800# , ##program980 (this code works but is the incorrect menu)
I apologize if someone has asked a question similar to this already, but I couldn't find anything related.

Thanks for the suggestion, unfortunately this doesn't work either! I actually don't even get a mmi code error using this one, when i hit the send button it just calls it without trying. Do you have a Verizon g2 also?
