Now for me the first priority is auto sync and sync of pictures, but after that I'll surely implement a widget (but, maybe in pro version).
What do you like to include in such widget? A list of articles (for selected feed, category) or texts?

Just downloaded market version, and a few quick thoughts (I'll have more later)
Sync settings:
Maximal age of the post should be Maximum
you list a bunch of numbers in that catergory. I'm assuming they are days, but weeks would also be a possibility. If you could put 1 (unit), 2 (unit), that'd be great.
Main feed page:
I use folders a LOT in google reader. Usually, I browse by the whole folder at once, rather than the individual source (example, I might have android police, Android Central, and XDA portal for android all in one folder). However, in this app, I can only view by individual feed. If you can place an option under the folder menu to view all at once, that'd be great! By this I mean, I might be viewing an Android central story, but the next story might be XDA portal.
Edit: Just found if you tap the numbers it does this. If you can make that a menu option, that'd be great. I only found it by accident.
Overall:
You have a setting for article screen theme. Any way you can make that universal throughout the app? I like black text on white. However, everything but the article is still white text on black.
Make it so that articles that are read in app are read everywhere.
That's all for now. Looks really good so far. Love the swipe to go to next page option. Google official reader needed that. For what I think of googles reader app, I really like it. Nice UI, but no offline caching.

I think a widget would be a great idea. I see you are planning to add it in the future and you were asking what to be included. I think the best way to do the widget would be to display "all items" that would link to your app when clicked. I also would like to see a mark all as read on the widget too if that can be done.
I'll implement widget for sure, but a little bit later. Now the main priority is stability.

Screen flashing black/white when scrolling
Solution: Toggle compatibility mode for that app. If it's on, turn it off. If it's off, turn it on.

Some apps force closing i.e. Engadget, Mint.com, (tried uninstalling and re installing from market)

Already flashed MIUI ROM? OK, pick up your phone now, let’s start our happy journey of MIUI ROM.
The first step: selecting apps
Various apps will greatly enrich your cell phone, so firstly let’s select the apps to your taste.
Click Net Disk on the desktop, and you’ll see MIUI has prepared a variety of amazing apps for you, including notes, audios, videos and IM and so on. You are free to choose and install what you like! (Please make sure your phone is connected to wifi.)
> You may also download more apps in electronic markets. You need to install the corresponding market (some can be downloaded in “Net Disk”), and then go get more apps.
> I’d like to install apps downloaded from the computer, what should I do? First copy the downloaded file (.apk) into your SD card. Then pick up your phone, click “File Manager” on the desktop, find the file you copied and click to install it.
Tip: How to copy files from the computer to the phone? First connect your phone to your computer via data cable, pull down the notification panel from the top of the phone, click “USB connected”, and then click "Turn on USB storage”.
After copying, do not forget to select the option of “Turn off USB storage”, otherwise "File Manager” in the phone will not be able to find the sd card, as it is being occupied by the computer.
Now I have a lot of apps, how to put them in order?
All apps successfully installed are listed on the desktop, however, they may not be in the order you want, how to put them in order?
> Long press an app icon and then you may move it freely. When it is moved to the screen border, the screen will automatically switch to the next screen.
> How to add a screen? Use two fingers to pinch on the desktop to enter screen thumbnail mode. Then you may add or delete screens.
> How to delete an app? Long press the app icon you want to delete, drag it on top of the trash box and click OK to delete it.
The second step: let's make your phone different.
A phone without style is nothing remarkable, so let’s make your phone different!
> Changing wallpaper: Click Menu button on the desktop, select “Change Wallpaper” to replace the wallpaper. In addition to the existing wallpaper in the phone, thousands of pieces of wallpaper are also available online.
> Changing theme: Themes make great changes to your interface style. Click “Theme Manager” on the desktop to select the theme you like. Also, more online themes are available online.
> Selecting ringtones and more: click “Settings” on the desktop to set call and notification ringtones. In “Personalization” under “Personal” tab, you may find more options.
The third step: it’s time for some advanced techniques!
Well, you are no longer a beginner now, so let’s learn some advanced techniques.
> Adding widgets on the desktop: press the Menu button on the desktop, select "Edit Mode", and then click the icon on the upper right corner to access the interface of “Add Widgets”. Choose your favorite widget on the top, and then drag it to the screen below.
> Using folders to manage desktop apps: in the interface of “Add Widgets”, drag [Folder] to the desktop. You may drag multiple apps into folders to classify them. After opening the folder, you may click the edit icon in the upper left corner to rename the folder.
> Using toggles panel to improve efficiency: drag the notification panel down from the top, click "Toggles" to go to the toggles panel (It goes to the toggles panel in default of notice.) On the panel are listed the most commonly used toggles, you may click to quickly enable or disable a toggle. Long press on the icon will launch the settings for that icon.
> Guest mode: enable the “Guest Mode” toggle in the panel, and your calls and text messages logs will be hidden, and all installed applications cannot be removed. You may have a try when you need to show your phone to guests or children.
> Importing contacts or binding accounts: you may use some apps to import a batch of contacts, or bind Google account directly in "Settings"> "Personal"> "Accounts & Sync Settings" to sync contacts at any time.
> How to print screens? Press "Menu" key and "Volume Down" key at the same time to print a screen. The printed image is saved in the directory of MIUI in the sd card.
> How to copy files from the computer without using the data cable? In case of a wifi connection, enter “File Manager” on the desktop, select the tab of "Remote Administration" to start the service, and then you will get an address. Enter the given address on the computer, then you may copy files without using a data cable!

Lei Jun is ex-Kingsoft CEO (like Microsoft), co-founder of Joyo.com (sold to Amazon), now Chairman of Great Wall Club and Angel Investor. His newer product, MIUI under his start-up Xiaomi, is stirring rumours about an OEM partnership.
MIUI is a 3rd party Android ROM tailored for the Chinese market. Think about it like a layer on top of your Windows OS on your computer, to make it more customised and personal, but on mobile. From their website it says it enables faster dialling, better security and a big library of themes and skins.
Last weekend at a developer conference there was some chatter about MIUI partnering with a big OEM. We can speculate it could be with Samsung, Motorola or LG because all are bringing their Android phones into the Chinese market. We have reason to suspect the OEM partner is Motorola because as an American based OEM, they know less about Chinese user behaviour compared to Korean based Samsung or LG. It has also been reported that Dianxin, another Android ROM incubated under Innovation Works is partnering with Sharp. Motorola needs to make a good impression to stand out in China, where competition with other Android phone’s is fierce

Xiaomi has raised another round of $35million from Morningside Venture and Qiming Venture partner. The valuation of Xiaomi is reported at $200million.
$200million valuation?! Seriously, as an iPhone/Android development company, Xiaomi is able to attract that much of attention and money, which sounds insane. I could not get it, until yesterday two friends both confirmed with me, Xiaomi is not just about designing mobile applications, but designing a phone, I mean a real phone.
Looking at Lei Jun’s recent investment, I am totally impressed,
UCWeb – the leading Mobile browser (our previous coverage);
Xiaomi – one of the most promising iPhone/Android development company which already released several applications including Xiaomi Reader (iBooks like) and Miliao (a copycat of Kik);
MIUI – Android-based mobile OS;
Xiaomi Phone?!
So Lei Jun has the mobile operating system, the browser and the applications, once there is a nice phone, he actually is able to reach all the important sectors in future’s mobile phone industry. Smart!

IP Calling : . How to set IP dialing?
MIUI ROM can add an IP prefix for the called number in a strange land. You may set it in Settings>Common>Calls.
You may also long press the contact item before dialing, and choose “Make IP calls” in the pop-up menu.

not yet, the kernel will support it soon as it comes in to play from shinzul and toastchf for CM it will probably work here. that is what was meant

No. Wimax LEDs are used for notifications. That's the LED on the right side of the ear piece.

Drag the file to your SD/MIUI/THEME
Then you'll see the theme in the theme manager
Also make sure you did a full wipe. Some of these issues have been fixed in the ROM that should be released tonight or tomorrow

Facebook permissions.
Fast:
Fast asks for a lot of permissions because there is no way to access to your data or write a new object without them. The good thing is that the app does what you want to do and there is no background process that spies or catch your information. There is no analytic or hidden services. At the first installation the app asks if you want to post a status with information about Fast, but you can choose if you want this or not.
This is the list of permissions that Fast can ask you (all are optional, if you need a feature you accept, otherwise you can decide to decline):
So, if you need a client that is triggered only by your actions, Fast it's your choice. The app doesn't have any control on your sms, contacts, phone data and status. It's not connected to any spying web services and there are no logs or personal information that are sent to me. I have no idea who is using Fast, what the user is doing. I just have Facebook data about active monthly user, geographical stats (only countries percentage), language and stats about how many api calls are made + api errors.
Facebook App:
The thing with official app is that you can't decide what permissions you can give to it, because it's official and it can do everything. If you loose your phone and you don't have the proper security level, everyone can do everything on your FB account with the Fb app.
Moreover, you don't know what kind of analytic, hidden services and hidden processes are on the app. You have to give so many android permissions that you literally give the app a full control of your phone.
I know that I am no one, and it's hard to trust, but Fast is here from almost 2 years and people trust my app. You can check the ratings and all the discussion here, I am always open to change the app, follow feedback and fix everything. My motto is to be transparent and always open to accept critics and new ideas.

login is trough a webview directly connected with Facebook (fb dialog), so no data is passed trough the app. The are no analytics such as google, flurry, socialize, etc etc. So the only data I receive is from the developer dashboard of Facebook.
So, all the connections are trough facebook open graph or the xmpp facebook server (using SASL, no md5 with user and password in clear )
Talking about privacy, I will introduce the possibility to use the privacy settings for the sharing of content and update status.

I stopped using the official since most versions would always run no matter the settings which resulted being a battery killer. if you can configure it to cache to the background so it's not running consistently you may just be on the road to compete against friendcaster

Native Google contacts app uses a strangely lower resolution (96x96px).
This was normal in the firsts Android versions.
The new phones includes a large amount of memory and a large screens, and also, the new Android version (Ice Cream Sandwitch) predisposes to a better user experience.
But, by default, the contact photos stored in Android 4.0 uses the older resolution (96x96px), and the photo contacts appears pixelated.
With this app you can make a bulk update of your contact photos to a increased resolution (256x256px) that's shows much better in your new devices.
Also, in older devices, that aren't running ICS, the app allows to make a bulk photo contacts update and increase the resolution to the device max supported size.
Finally, if you have rooted your device, you can increase the size of the contact photos to 400x400px (or more). That sounds good in devices with a large screen, like Galaxy Note.
Instructions
1) Place the desired contact photos (in PNG or JPG format) in a folder of your sdcard. I recommend to use square photos.
2) Open the app
3) Click settings and configure the sources folder to the stored photos folder
4) Go main window in the app
5) Select the photos that you want to update
6) Click the update photos button (the photos was automatically resized to the max resolution supported by the device).
* If you want to use photos greater than the maximum supported device size, you need to be rooted. If you're rooted, go
settings, check the "Use HD photos" checkbox then apply the desired photos.
Please, if you have troubles or issues, contact with the developers via email or at the XDA thread.

Differences between donate and free versions
Donate and free versions are contained in the same apk.
The only differences are related to the nexts functions,
that are only available for donors.

In Gingerbread devices the HD real photos (bigger than 256x256px) isn't supported
Weird Google hasn't come with an update on this low res problem. It's been known for years. Now even with HD screen resolutions Google doesn't fix this :-(
I use a similar solution to yours. I use the internal Phone book in my Galaxy S2 to create duplicate contacts with only a single high res image. After this I merge the contacts using settings with my GMail contacts, setting the high res picture as default profile.
This causes two problems though. One, it doesn't change anything on my Google contacts so it only works on my phone. Second, you have to apply this trick every time you get a new phone.
Would be nice if your application could do something similar but with some sort of simple import/export function. But I'm afraid that's not that simple, right?
I love the idea, but get "At least one of the selected photos can't be applied" when trying to apply. Image is 300px in height, named the same as the contact and in .png format.
Am I doing something obviously wrong?

your're right.
the operation only works in the phone.
the contact photo in google servers are unchanged,
but the (phone) photo was no changed when you sync, only if you wipe the data in the device.

you have a log file in /sdcard/
open and find a contact with error code different from zero.
if the error is due to a contact picture had not previously assigned, the error will be corrected in the next version.
also, appreciate a logcat

the filename (without the extension) of any photo is the display name for two or more contacts (correct me if I wrong)
You are quite correct, it was a contact that had been joined - tried it on an un-joined contact and it worked like a charm!

Love the idea.
But the app FC's every time i try to apply pictures...
i'm on SG Note, rom Stunner 1.4.26.1 (android 4.0.4), pictures stored as png's, appropriate folder setup in settings. does that irrespective of whether i apply a batch or single contact.
