Is there a way to ge 2g/3g toggld on petes bugless beast? I know its a cyanogen feature and ive tried flashing the cmsetting.apk but that doesnt help. Any ideas to get it working? Or even a widget that works?

i got an app called Network from the market which basically just a shortcut to my phone info...put in on the wall and manual switch there..not pretty, but it works..

I got the Galaxy S 4g, only issue is I have HORRIBLE 4g speeds at home and take forever to load! I recently updated to the Gingerbread 2.3.3 and it made it worst!
(Stock Gingerbread 2.3.3 Deodexed + Root KF2)
Was wondering if their was a toggle where i can disable 4G and enable 3G?
on the market seems its for other phones?

i honestly dont know 100% if you can toggle between them, but i'm pretty sure you can't. are you sure you're on 4g to begin with? you can try to take out your battery and leave it out for a minute and then restart the phone. i had a problem where it wouldnt connect and that fixed it for me. if that doesnt work for you, try flashing a new modem. if you're at home, just try connecting to wifi; it may just be your area.
Actually, I do sign in thru wifi but it still seems to lag and im on FiOS and it shouldnt lol
So u say flash my modem? is that reflashing with odin a new software? im learning as I go with all this and im running gingerbread 2.3.3
Oo. Hmm. I'm not sure if flashing a modem works on ginger bread. Check out the bible thread and look for the modem link. May have your answer there.

Widgetsoid toggle widgets has a feature that lets you enable/disable 4g but I have never used it so cannot make a claim as to whether it works or not.

Whats the best app for resetting my network connection? Sometimes I have my 3G (white) which for whatever reason doesn't allow me to connect to the play store, google, internet, etc and the only way to fix it (turn it blue) is rebooting my phone. I've tried the fresh network app, it doesn't work. I am using Juice Defender Ultimate so maybe I have a setting screwed up but I read and reread the manual it seems like I have it configured the way I want.
Running GummyNex 1.2 on Droid Bionic
Kernal version 2.6.35.7-g4fc328e
Can't you just turn on airplane mode for a few seconds and then turn it off?

Afaik if ur 3g symbol is white, it means ur not fully connected to
the network. I have that somtimes too, but it only takes 1-5s, depending on signal strengh.

Also note if you are using custom ICS ROM with Sense 4.0 WiFi tethering might not work.

It should work on your device then. Never tried this ROM, but my guess that the same instructions as for stock ROM could be used.
Hi I'm running eye candy and confirm wifi tether works great with this rom. Its a matter of settings. Settings go like this., make sure and power off phone and pull battery put back in before you start to tether each time. Settings are routing fix checked, disable wake lock, channel 11, set up wext ad hoc checked, device profile generic ics, dns,8.8.8.8,lan 192.168.2024,transit power disabled. Your set.if it starts with a error power off pull battery put battery back in power on you are good to go.! Do the battery every tethering session. I hope this helps you. Works like a charm. Its a simple free app at the playstore called wifi tether. I use it daily with the eyecandy rom. Best wishes and happy tethering!

Ive noticed on a few of the roms that I have to airplane toggle to get data to switch from 3g back to 4g. I dont get a "drop" like I do with aosp roms, just seems to not want to switch back. Anyone else notice this?

Has anyone been able to get tasker to toggle 4g lte with this phone? I've tried mobile data and Secure Settings LTE setting but neither activate the 4g.

I got it to work on cm, I don't think secure settings supports moto blur.
I'm on Carbon Official 4.2.2 which is CM based. Which setting did you use to accomplish this?
