hello,
i need to set up mms on htc hd7 device (it's full unlocked)
with these parameters:
for mms:
APN: mtelmms
Username: blank
Password: blank
Proxy address. 192.168.061.011
Proxy port: 80
MMS server: i have these, but i can not put it here, because of the forum policy
for GPRS
APN: mtelfrend
Username: blank
Password: blank
Proxy address. 192.168.061.010
Proxy port: 80
can it be done with FixMMSProvxml.xap, but with these parameters? if anybody have this or other soultions, please answer me.
TNX
Have you tried using the Connection Setup app? it's free from HTC in their section of the Marketplace.
If that doesn't work, you can probably tweak the provxml by putting in your parameters.
i have do it with provxml, but still nothing
just added my values from my operator but nothing
can somebody help me to solve this problem?
thx for your time

I am using the t mobile HTC HD2, I have it unlocked and running it for my at&t network. I have also started using the android program through my sim card, so basically my phone is running on the android interface. It works great, however i cannot access the internet nor send/receive picture messages. I need to figure out the VPN setting or Proxy setting for the at&t provider. Since at&t does not have this phone they are unable to help on where or how to do it.

Anyone got this same situation and figured it out?!
Please help, thanks
make a new apn, then just fill in the Name and the APN part with whatever u desire like eg Name :"my apn" APN : "my apn" the other just leave it blank. This method was mention in the HD2 section by another forumer and it kinda work well for me with m-deejay revolution built.

what about the vpn server?
Hi there - been using my wife's Sensation with my Orange Sim (Sensation is ok - doesn't seem blindingly fast compared to my original desire) but I have a query with MMS (Pic messaging).
Orange can't seem to send me the Access Point settings over the Network because they don't support it yet so we typed them in manually which solved the Mobile Data problems but myself and Orange Customer Services still can't crack MMS.
Has anyone had MMS working on the Orange Network with a HTC Sensation ? Can you provide the AP settings for mms so I can double check ? Anything else I could try ?
Regards.
I have two APNs for orange. I would set both up the same as I have them, so you can test if they work. Note - they are CASE SENSITIVE. They are as follows:
MMS Settings
Name: orangemms
APN: orangemms
Proxy: http://192.168.224.10
Port: 8080
Username: Orange
Password: Multimedia
Server: http://mms.orange.co.uk
MMSC: http://mms.orange.co.uk
MMS Proxy: 192.168.224.10
MMS Port: 9201
MCC: 234
MNC: 33
APN type: mms
Orange internet Settings
Name: orange
APN: orangeinternet
Proxy: 192.168.071.035
Port: 9201
Username: <not set>
Password: <not set>
Server: orangeinternet
MMSC: http://mms.orange.co.uk
MMS Proxy: 192.168.224.10
MMS Port: 8080
MCC: 234
MNC: 33
APN type: <not set>
Thanks for that Stanny - still no joy though, I've tried various flavours of those setting all to no avail. I wonder if the Vodafone handset has something preventing it ? Note: Data is fine.

Strange.
Phone Orange and ask them for the Desire S settings! Possibly they're the same?
MMS data settings:
Name = Orange MMS
APN = orangemms (case sensitive)
Proxy = 192.168.224.010
Port = 8080
Username = Orange (case sesitive)
Password = Multimedia (case sesitive)
Server = Leave blank
MMSC = http://mms.orange.co.uk
MMS proxy = 192.168.224.010
MMS port = 8080
MMS protocol = WAP 2.0
MCC = 234
MNC = 33
APN type = mms
Try those... I am confident... a bit!
Hmmm.... still no play, Orange still have my ticket open, maybe when Orange support the Sensation (June) I'll be able to sort it - wonder if there's some hangover from Vodafone on the phone - doubt it, if the AP is right it should be ok..... ?
Fail.
Well I'm waiting for Orange to release the Sensation as well, so the sooner they do the better.
Looks like its gonna be July now...
So this is a Vodafone (UK) handset?
I know they're unlocked but it still has Vodafone branded firmware on it, I wonder if somehow that's causing your problems.
It is a Vodafone 'Unlocked' handset, and there's little in the way of branding, but there is some (log at startup/shutdown) but no Apps, wonder if I need to ask Vodafone to 'unlock' the handset - wouldn't they just say "It's unlocked Sir"
I've been using this on Orange with no probs for three weeks now
It's also from vodafone. It is not branded in any way other than one splash screen at startup. No Vodafone stuff on it at all ...
Anyway
Set a new apn
Mobile networks / access point names
All setting at default except
Apn name orangeinternet
Mms protocol wap 2.0
Mcc 234
Mnc 33
Apn type default
Works for me
Sent from my HTC Sensation Z710e using XDA App
Blimy - it solved it ! I guess my question now is - what's the downside ?
SDC do you only have one APN then ?
I have same problem with MMS but have two APNs orangeinternet and orange mms
Seems like every time I flash a ROM, my APN settings won't allow me to send/receive MMS. Does anyone have a setting that works?
My following set up (Which is default):
Name: ATT
APN: wap.cingular
Proxy: Blank
Port: Blank
Username: [email protected]
Password: CINGULAR1
Server: Blank
MMSC: wireless.cingular.com
MMS Port: 80
MCC: 310
MNC: 410
Authentication Type: Blank
APN Type: default,supl,mms
APN Protocol: IPv4
---------------
I am currently using Ninja ROM, and if you have configured the APN settings to have MMS work, please share the settings.
I have searched everywhere and nothing. Even asked in the Ninja thread, and the only response you get is "Oh, mine works...". That's basically a F U. Not helpful responses.
Thanks.

Not sure if you mistyped something, but the MMSC field is not supposed to read: wireless.cingular.com. Make sure it reads: http://mmsc.cingular.com
Also, your Proxy and Port fields should read:
Proxy: wireless.cingular.com
Port: 80
You don't list your MMS proxy field, but it should read: wireless.cingular.com
If the above changes don't fix anything, then let's try breaking out your MMS connection into a separate APN. Use this method (from my APN thread):
Standard warning applies here: as always, before making any major config changes be sure to fully backup your ROM. If you mess up real bad or something goes unexpectedly wrong, then you might permanently lose your connection with no recourse other than a complete restore.
Step 1. Delete all APNs
If you're not already at your APN screen, then from your home screen press Menu button --> Settings --> Wireless and networks --> Mobile networks --> Access Point Names
Press the left side of your 1st APN to go into the settings of this APN, then press Menu>>Delete APN.
Repeat this process for any other APNs you have. The goal is to delete all APNs so we can start from scratch.
Now do the next steps in the same order as below:
Step 2. Create a new APN (Menu>>New APN). Everything is case sensitive and must be entered exactly as below. This will be your 1st APN:
Name: MEdia Net
APN: Phone
MMS protocol (if applicable): WAP 2.0
MCC: (don't change this number)
MNC: (don't change this number)
APN type: default, admin, hipri (notice there is no space on either side of the commas)
APN protocol (if applicable): IPv4
everything else: <Not set>
Press Menu>>Save. You will now be back at the initial APN screen.
Step 3. Create another APN (Menu>>New APN). Everything is case sensitive and must be entered exactly as below. This will be your 2nd APN:
Name: MMS
APN: wap.cingular
Proxy: wireless.cingular.com
Port: 80
Username: [email protected]
Password: CINGULAR1
MMSC: http://mmsc.cingular.com
MMS proxy: wireless.cingular.com
MMS port: 80
MMS protocol (if applicable): WAP 2.0
MCC: (don't change this number)
MNC: (don't change this number)
APN type: mms, supl (notice there is no space on either side of the comma)
APN protocol: IPv4
APN protocol (if applicable): IPv4
everything else: <Not set>
Press Menu>>Save.
You will now be back at the initial APN screen again. Make sure the 1st APN (named MEdia Net) is selected (via the round radio button on the right side). Your data connection will drop for a few seconds.
We are done at this point. Let me know if this works for you. If not, it is probably a software problem in your ROM somewhere.
I've tried this method you've posted. First of all, thank you.
Now, after setting up both APN's, neither seem to work to get MMS to function. I am not sure why.
I will call AT&T next week.

Hmmm, well at least we gave it a shot. The dual APN config should have worked for you, as it's the same as what comes on the stock ROM. I suppose one last thing you could try would be to get your phone back to pure stock and see if MMS works then. This stock RUU is located in this thread. It is an executable file that you run on your PC, and it completely wipes the phone, unroots it and brings it back to factory stock. If that doesn't work, then maybe your account isn't allowing MMS or something. Good luck either way.
I know it would work on stock, and stock rooted. But with any other ROM I flash, MMS won't work.
Again, thanks for your help. Its no deal breaker, just wish it would work.
I had the same problem I had to change the radio/ril back to stock to get it to work

I did that too on Ninja. And since I'm running Ninja ROM on mine, it seems its only able to use Single APN's.
I don't know.
I tried CM 7 on my infuse and really like it but can't seem to find an apn setting that works right for me. Default apn settings web browsing works but market says no conneciton retry. With the APN settings that were posted in the new to MIUI thread in general my market would work great but when I tried to browse the web it would say webpage blocked. So I was hoping I could get some folks who have CM7 running on their phones to post their APN settings for me to try out.
Thanks in advance.
This is working great for me...
4G(H+) speeds won't knock your socks off, but it's perfectly good for daily use.
Market, Browser, GPS, etc. -- Everything works consistently
I created a NEW APN (named AT&T), and left the two original ones alone
(password is CINGULAR1)
Fixed it myself for anyone who is interested the APN settings that finally worked right for me on CM7 were:
Name AT&T
APN: WAP.cingular
Proxy: Leave Blank
Port: Leave Blank
Username: [email protected]
Password: CINGULAR1
Server: leave blank
MMSC: http://mmsc.cingular.com
MMS Proxy: wireless.cingular.com
MMS port: 80
MMS protocol: WAP 2.0
MICC 310
MNC 410
Auth type blank
APN type blank
I dont have an MMS Protocol in my APN settings...

BSNL is having nationwide problem of connecting bsnlnet apn. They say their server is overloaded and no solution for that. You can use bsnllive apn. This apn works in Gujarat. Please enter the correct proxy and port for bsnllive.
